Very comfortable relaxing stay
Pros:

Perfect location, lovely rooms, bed very comfy , breakfast very good, friendly helpful staff

Cons:

WiFi in room poor
It would be better if the pool was more available for hotel guests who don’t use the spa, very restricted times

Pros:

Spa was amazing, and hotel grounds lovely. Staff were very nice.

Cons:

Room itself was average and not worth the money. Also annoyingly, you had to pay extra to use the infinity pool and the best bits of the spa (60 quid for 2 hours) which was misleading. Also wifi was terrible and would have to be refreshed every 10minutes and even then did not work properly.

A bit overpriced for what your getting, but a lovely stay nonetheless. Be wary of hidden costs!
Pros:

Booked a short notice weekend away in the Lake District - Don't receive the wrong impression from the ratings - In my view the hotel was a nice place. Beautiful location, very nice looking hotel externally and the restaurants and spa were beautiful. Very nice food, I would definitely recommend if you intend to stay a while and not just 1 night.
We didn't use the Spa or what I think is a member/club lounge - they looked stunning, definitely recommend worth a look! (be mindful that there is likely a premium price for these)

Cons:

- I felt the rooms were overpriced for what the hotel aspect offered (bare in mind we've stayed in nicer and cheaper hotels in London which is saying a lot about the price). However, it has to be considered that it was summer break, so guessing prices inflate during this period.
- Rooms were a bit of a let down, quite out dated when compared to the rest of the buildings interior.
- Bed was uncomfortable, excessively soft mattress. Which resulted in us getting half a nights sleep and waking up with aches and pains in the morning.
- Be wary of what feels a bit cheeky, there is a teddy that is left in the bedrooms on the bed which basically say if you take it out of the room anywhere, your charged a fee - as such be mindful if you have little ones. These do feel targeted towards families with young children. Never been to a hotel that does this.
- There also seemed to be a lot of hidden costs that don't seem to be clearly marked - i.e. £12 per day parking on the premises. Again bit steep considering the price a room and the quality of the rooms.

Nice hotel but can't recommend due to issues during our stay
Pros:

The location was beautiful, the food good and the staff very friendly

Cons:

For the price of the room the facilities were very basic a very small bathroom which was leaking brown water from the ceiling, the staff fixed this during our stay but not the experience you expect from a hotel like this. No air conditioning and a very small, cheap basic fan which circulated the air minimally.

We were in heaven. Pampered, and well looked after. Great food and the spa is on another level. I want to go back soon.
Pros:

This was such a great place to relax and forget the world. We stayed the “W” part of the property. A bit more upscale. It was worth it. I took the suite room 810. I couldn’t have been more happy. My friend Jo, took 708 and she said it was amazing. We did the 2 on site restaurants, the ‘W’ and the Blue smoke. Tip: save getting a steak for the Blue Smoke. We ventured out for our final meal at Jinitana’s it was 5 minutes there but 15 minutes to find parking. If you like Thai food, go there. We might have overdone it but the food was so yummy! In the property is did a couple of sets of massages (I did the deep tissue and a facial) and the next day we did the Thermal journey. You have to do that. 2 hours of relaxing spa activities. Including a red led face mask. I also managed to get a 30 minute hike behind the property. Highly recommend this place.

Cons:

I had an issue with my room. It was near the lift, ice maker and an entry door and being on the ground floor. I made an inquiry about another room and they upgraded me to a suite on the second floor. So as much as I didn’t like the first room they quickly fixed it. The staff there are very friendly and just so nice.
