Lovely lake views and comfortable with modern feel in an old historic building.
Pros:

Great view over the lake from our room. Hotel had history but was completely modernised and comfortable.

Beautiful decor, fabulous breakfast, exceptional toiletries. Superb food in the bar.
Pros:

The position of the hotel was excellent for our holiday needs. Grounds beautiful and overlooking the lake. Staff very friendly. The toiletries were exceptional alongside the wonderful food at breakfast.

Cons:

There was a grounds map on the reverse of the hotel information sheet informing us about breakfast and swimming pool times. I wish our attention had been brought to this; I would have explored the trail and viewpoints.

The location is spectacular. The rooms, service and food amazing.

Cons:

We were a party of 6 and plus toddler. We couldn’t get a spa package. We assumed we would have access to spa facilities until we arrived at the venue and read the detail. Spa really needs to be pre booked at £70 per person for 3 hour slot.
