I booked a spa day for my daughters 30th birthday on March 20th and they did not disappoint.
From the moment we walked through the doors the staff were welcoming.
A special mention to Jo who came and took our order for breakfast and lunch and made sure we had everything we wanted( nothing was too much trouble) A very nice touch was a birthday card on the table when we went for lunch and made my daughters day that bit more special.
A special mention to Dan the chef the food was beautiful thank you and the happy birthday on my daughters chocolate brownie was a nice touch.
I booked the Hot stones treatment and the facial both were well worth every penny
Thankyou to Hannah who did my treatments and to Tia who did my daughters we had a very relaxing couple of hours.
We had a amazing day so Thank you to everyone who made our day so special

I recently booked the Stay & Dine package at Fairlawns together with the Absolute Face and Body Ritual Spa treatment to celebrate my birthday. I went with a friend and I have to say the whole experience from beginning to end was just fantastic, we both had the most amazing time.

It was the excellent customer service that really stood out for me, the staff were so professional and welcoming and at the same time warm and friendly.

I appreciated the personal touches and small complimentary gestures to make my birthday extra special, such as the delicious organic chocolate and card that was waiting for me in my room and also the artistic birthday message that the chef in the 178 restaurant done for me on a plate with an extra complimentary mini dessert treat. I had the cod fish for my main course and my friend had the braised beef, we sampled each other's dishes and both meals were delicious. Compliments to the Chef!

The Thermal Suite facilities were great and the Face and Body Ritual which is a 110 Mins treatment including a facial and massage was absolutely divine, in fact it was so good that I dozed off and came round when I heard myself snoring!

Thank you so much to all the team at Fairlawns for making my stay a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

We held a 'Celebration of Life' for my brother at Fairlawns for 35 guests. Even though it was a very difficult time for the family, the evening was memorable & that was down to the caring, professional & attentive staff. The Cedar Room was perfect for the occasion as it was very quiet & discreet. and has its own bar. The Hot Buffet was delicious and the staff on duty that evening were superb. A special thank you to Joanne Marshall, Rob & Daisy for making a stressful occasion stress-free. I would highly recommend Fairlawns for any occasion.

I recently stayed at Fairlawns and found the experience to be exceptional.

The Room: Fantastic. It was spacious, impeccably clean, and well-appointed, providing a perfect environment for relaxation.

Food & Service: 1st class. The dining was of a high standard, and the staff were professional, attentive, and efficient throughout my stay.

Spa Facilities: The spa is a standout feature. The 18m indoor pool and the thermal suite—including the saunas and steam rooms—are excellent. The outdoor hot tub garden was also a highlight, offering a unique and relaxing experience.

Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays.

The food in the restaurant is absolutely amazing, service is first class.

Fabulous food, attentive service & wonderful setting! We enjoyed a lovely Sunday Lunch here yesterday & we were so impressed from start to finish! Well done! We are very lucky to have this amazing place on our doorstep!

Perfect stay, really nice spa area and great food. Foot at the restaurant was really good too. Will definitely be staying again. The snug was great, nice and relaxing until some selfish pleb decided to work on their laptop and eat crisps!

Went back to our beloved Fairlawns for an overnight stay, dine and stay with my husband.
Atmosphere was great, food was exceptional, service as always was attentive, friendly but professional. The room was lovely and with the three hour spa access was great value for money.
We also had an Elemis Facial and Deep Tissue Massage. Sarah my therapist was fabulous as always and I would highly recommend. My husband had Evie who he said was very good as a masseur too.
I cannot fault the whole experience at Fairlawns which is exceptional and never disappoints. Thank you x

Lovely afternoon tea experience. First time here having afternoon tea and far superior compared to New Hall and Moor Hall hotel.

Staff are so friendly and welcoming as well and are happy to change items on the afternoon tea if you’d prefer something different.

Booked this for my boyfriend’s birthday over the weekend. We used the thermal suite and the pool which we loved. Staff were super friendly in the health club reception.

The lady at reception I think her name was Caitlin, was so lovely and helped with any questions we had and made us feel welcome.

Amazing staff and hotel.It's our 10 year anniversary so i booked the fairlawns ( which we have stayed many of times ) on this occasion a lovely lady called (Abby) who was amazing and seen that we have stayed here on many occasions and that it was our anniversary, she went out of her way to make us feel very welcome and upgraded us a better room. Thank you so much Daniel & charlotte x

So I arrived early this morning to make use of the bar/resturant area for myself and my work colleagues. 5 people for at least 8 hours. Coffees, breakfast and also lunch were all going to be ordered throughout the day.

Asking to open a tab at 07:30 this morning and explaining that I'd be there all day with coffees, lunch and breakfast I was met with a very abrupt and rude comment that I was only allowed to stay for 2 hours and any time after that would be £25 per hour.

Now I don't mind paying for meeting rooms etc, but a venue which we probably use once every two months of this nature and to be told that I'd have to pay to sit dowm is ridiculous.

We had our special day on the 21st February and what a day it was! It was absolutely beautiful and wish that I could relive the day again, it was honestly stunning. We were helped through the planning stages every step of the way by Josh who was fantastic! He was super knowledgeable, helpful and down to earth and helped us to tailor the day exactly how we wanted it and to our budget. Everything went smoothly on the day, Hayley and the team were amazing and great with communication I felt as ease knowing what to expect and could trust that they were coordinating things behind the scenes. The food was gorgeous and we were catered for as vegans very well, we also had guests that were gluten free and also fussier younger eaters that were looked after and happy with their food. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was fabulous. Our room for the night was lovely and every thing came together wonderfully. Thank you so much Fairlawns for making our special day so magical ❤️❤️

Stopped by for breakfast - decent free car park (but look out for some minor flooding at the back). Good location and easy to find. The service is first class and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was good and included cold buffet items if required.
Chilled out experience and a sit by the fire afterwards.

We arrived at the spa and had an amazing day. We checked in and our room was upgraded. It was a beautiful room with sitting area, a separate shower room and a bathroom. The key card to the room wasn't working and the lady on reception was amazing and sorted it for us within 15 minutes. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant the staff and the food was exceptional. Later on the snow came down and the next morning at breakfast then staff had gone above and beyond by clearing the pathways and our car was even cleaned off. The staff had stayed overnight to ensure that guests were served breakfast the next day. The staff are an asset to the hotel. They were all bright and cheerful and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Thank you everyone

One of the best hotel and Spa stays ever, faultless from arrival to departure.
Facilities, food and staff all brilliant.
We will be back!

Festive Afternoon Tea.
Delicious: festive sandwiches, savories, scones and cakes, with choice of many varieties of tea or coffee's. I also had heavenly cocktail.
The food was scrumpiuos and the staff highly attentive and friendly.
The ambiance was festive and welcoming.

We stayed 1 night, including dinner, spa access and breakfast, for my husbands birthday. What a treat it was! The hotel & staff really go above and beyond.

Complimentary room upgrade which was a really lovely touch. The staff made the whole experience wonderful - lovely receptionists, our room was spotless and treats were left for us (thank you Michelle!). Comfy large bed, lots of space and great water pressure in the shower. Very peaceful sleep. The spa was wonderful, clean and very relaxing. Great facilities. We dined in the restaurant - the food was exemplary and we went for the £30 random wine bottle - this was so much fun & it was delicious! We also cannot recommend the drunken devils on the menu enough - not sure who came up with those but YUM!. Breakfast was lovely too.

Cannot fault it. Great value & would thoroughly recommend. Thank you so much!
