Great value, lovely staff and a big, well equipped room.
Pros:

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a good size with an enormous bed and a useful desk. Lots of power points. Always appreciate a hairdryer being provided, thank you. Very good price.

Cons:

Bathroom wasn’t absolutely clean (hairs on the shower unit). I found the mattress a little hard. There was very little lighting around the desk area, so as the evening wore on it became quite hard to work at the desk.

Well, this is a pretty stunning building
Pros:

Well, this is a pretty stunning building, and you can clearly see why it's a wedding venue. The whole area is lovely and a short taxi ride, or a 15-minute walk to the main village that boasts several good pubs and a couple of decent takeaways!

All the staff I spoke to were all brilliant, a very decent pint of Guinness was £6.50, poured correctly. I was very tempted to stay for an evening meal as the food looked very nice, which leads me onto breakfast: this was a help-yourself style; the day before, it was table service. I assume they were busy on the buffet days. Solid breakfast, no real complaints, not mind-blowing but solid.

The room was very nice, and the hotel had a great feel overall. Great, super-hot shower and a massive bed!

Cons:

Now, these are not massive issues, but issues nonetheless. The kettle had mould spores in the water still in the kettle; it had clearly been in there a while. The same with the walls in the bathroom, a few spots of new mould growth. I can only assume the room had not been used for a while, and the recent cold has probably not helped, from the last time it was 'made up'

The bathroom was a little dated, but it fit the overall country vibe of the hotel. The sink tap was loose, reported to maintenance as will leak if not sorted.

Will certainly return in the future and recommend it as ideal for a 3 night stay, suites spacious
Pros:

Good breakfast. Very cheerful and friendly staff. Evening meals good. Very spacious suite1.

Cons:

The shower wet room urgently requires a grab handle on at least one of the 2 solid walls. If partially disabled like me due to a recent knee operation, there is nothing to hold on to for safety.
It would have been nice if the evening menu was changed more often for a longer stay.

Pros:

The aesthetics of the hotel on the outside are superb, would benefit a bit more of a neaten on the inside. OK value for money nice location. Good shower pressure. Staff friendly enough and fab that can have dogs. Overall for the price can complain. Breckfast was lovely and simple.

Cons:

Bed was very uncomfortable in room 31. Struggled to get sleep due to comfort. Once I did eventually get sleep 1 hour later a couple upstairs from 1.30am-4.30am arguing and smashing things about screaming shouting and a dog barking. Not the hotels fault of course. I banged numerous times and it continued. I then eventually got dressed and out of bed seen the night porter. And he addressed the situation with caution. The male ended up leaving very strange then eventually I got back sleep around 6am! So overall not a good night as I got a total of mabe 3-4 hours of broken sleep. Just wish I found the people who kept me up to re inburst me. Completely ruined the stay. The plan was a nice sunrise wall early morning with the dogs and get back for breckfast in time to take the Mrs to work.
