Nice location, great building and friendly staff
Carpets in room very dirty found things left from previous guests bathroom very dusty and dirty
Great staff
Room was bit warm couldn't open the window as much as I wanted due to the restrictor,
Peice quite
Lovely location. Comfortable bed. The breakfast was good
The food was not good at dinner.
The staff are friendly and helpful. There was a good choice for breakfast. The lounge and dining area are very comfortable. The location is fantastic.
The room was comfortable and peaceful.
There was some dust and unclean cutlery in the room. Some areas outside could have been tidied up and cleared of dropped rubbish. The building has some unfinished outside maintenance. Some investment would make a big difference.
Desperate refurb needed, very outdated.
Ants in our room
Location is very good. However our room only looked out onto a brick wall. I had an event booked at hotel which was amazing, but I think because we booked via Booking.com we had an “economy” room. I might have thought that spending over £2k on an event there might have afforded me a room with a view! Alas not.
View from room
Staff very friendly and forebearing with complicated family arrangements and list car key!
Scrambled eggs at breakfast were very runny - too much milk. Would have loved a fried egg even if it had been sitting around for a bit.
Our room was clean and comfortable with an opening window, which was appreciated in very hot weather. The hotel is located in a very scenic area a short drive from Macclesfield with plenty of parking on site and opportunities for walking.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our evening meal and breakfast were of good quality taken in the restaurant which had a very pleasant conservatory opening to the outdoors, again welcome in the hot weather.
We had a room in a modern extension on the ground floor, and the furnishings were a bit basic, but quite acceptable given the very reasonable rate.
Location setting
Finish of the decor and tiling in shower needs updating but everything else fine especially good value
Beautiful views and a spacious suite
Windows were lethal and not quite enough staff
This hotel is great value for money. Your breakfast is made fresh for you and the building is stately. The location and grounds are beautiful.
I didn’t like that I only booked 1 night….I honestly wished I could have stayed longer.
The building on the building on the outside was lovely
The food- dinner took just over an hour to arrive on our table from the point of ordering it, i ordered a butterfly chicken burger with rocket salad and special fries. Nothing special about the fries they were just cheap lidls fries the burger wasnt a butterfly burger it was a dry peice of chicken with no butter no sauce with a microwaved bit of chedder on it making the chicken rock hard and dry round the outside from putting ot into the microwave. Thw rocket salad wasnt a rocket salad it was 2 leaves and slice of tomato at the bottom of the dry burger. It was served on a tiny childs plate. And that terrible experience was an eye watering 20 pounds for something i could of got better for half the price at the local mcdonalds. Very dissapointing do not eat from here!!!!!
Staff were all excellent, good location. Comfy bed.
Cobwebs in room, kettle was dirty.
Beautiful building in a peaceful setting. Great value for money.
Beautiful location, cool old manor house building contains bar/restaurant etc. Ok sized room (standard double) for the price. Quiet.
Standard double room had the classic 2 single beds pushed together....which is not only lazy but pointless as the room was too small to be used as a twin!!
No air con.
Exterior of room block looks nothing like the lovely front of the building, more like 1950s council flats! But it was not mis advertised, I knew what to expect, and was cheap. Pretty good overall
