Fabulous boutique spa
Pros:

Lovely relaxing spa hotel with fabulous food and great service. The outdoor spa facilities are fantastic with steam rooms, sauna, hot spa pools etc and numerous seating areas with heaters and blankets so you feel like you have plenty of space to yourself whatever the weather. The indoor pool area is also lovely. The food in the stables restaurant is fabulous - we had lamb and beef which were so tender with beautifully flavoured vegetables. The puddings were amazing too

Fabulous spa
Pros:

My friend and I visited January 26, our package was 10am till 7pm with lunch 1 hour massage and 1 hour in the relaxation lounge. This spa is absolutely fantastic and has had improvement since our last visit. Two hot outdoor pools with swim up bars and indoor pool which has had seats and the swing bed reupholstered and looks fantastic. Steam room, sauna, a cold dip pool and bath. Cosy pods to relax and rewind. As a vegan, I am always more than satisfied with the vegan mezze platter in the very comfortable pool house. The staff are super friendly and professional. The massage treatment was so relaxing and was the first time for us in the new treatment rooms. When we came back from the treatment it was dark and the spa was lit up with fairy lights and looked magical. I throughly recommend this spa. Its fabulous.

Wonderful stay, amazing food
Pros:

I was expecting good things having read the other reviews but was worried that the food in particular might disappoint as I just have very high standards. But it didn't, it was really incredible and excellent value in the dinner bed and breakfast deal. Great spa lunch too, just overall a really perfect weekend

The most perfect hotel stay
Pros:

Mainly due to the fact that we have a disabled son, we have not been away on our own for the last 5 years (during which both my husband and I have both had our 40th birthdays). So when we knew we were finally getting the chance to have a night away, I was keen to find something good. I scoured the internet trying to find somewhere but lots of the reviews of other hotels were mixed and I didn’t want us to waste our money or time, and not enjoy our rare hotel stay. I came across The Manor House website and thought it looked great. And the reviews were so overwhelmingly positive, so we booked.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away with every detail. We seriously couldn’t fault a thing. The money and care they have obviously spent on the place just shows. We wanted a chance to relax as our lives are so very hectic…and that is certainly what we did! The outdoor spa and swim-up bar were luxury in themselves. We just moved from area to area, reading, chatting and having a drink!

The meal in the evening was incredible. We have eaten at some Michelin-starred places in the past and the food here was better than some of those!

There is truly nothing negative to say about this place (and I am pretty fussy!) So often hotels seem to cut corners to make money, or even charge you extra to have time in the spa, but here it was included in our break so meant we could spend the whole day relaxing, and even have a couple of hours in there the next morning before we had to head home.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard and made our stay so incredible.

Anniversary spa break
Pros:

Booked the date night couples spa break with my fiance to celebrate our anniversary and we both had an amazing time. From the staff, service, facilities everything was exemplary. Our favourite part was the food at the stables. Compliments to the chef, food was incredibly tasty and presented well. Will definitely come to visit again and recommend to friends and family!

Amazing spa stay
Pros:

Stayed at Manor House as a belated birthday present from my boyfriend. We both commented how it was probably the best spa we’ve been too and we’ve gone to quite a few! The whole outdoor spa experience was great and the food at the Stables was amazing and included in our package. Can’t wait to visit again soon.

The best spa stay ever
Pros:

The best spa stay ever! 🧖🏻‍♀️We are lucky enough to travel across different spas in the UK & we were both super excited to try Manor after seeing it on TikTok. The stay exceeded our expectations & more after spending about 9 hours in the spa in one day! The Spa facilities are just stunning, they really have thought of everything and all the small special touches from the personalised bags, flip flops, spa signs (won't spoil everything). We loved the TWO swim up bars and heated loungers. You could enjoy this spa in all weathers!! I did also like how on it staff were making sure people were not reserving loungers, this meant that you never struggled to find somewhere to relax. It is also worthy to note we went on the busiest day of the week (a Saturday) & it was just perfect!!! I think what made our stay extra special was the staff. They made my friend & I feel super welcome & special! We would like to give a mention to Alex (who makes the best Pornstar Martini cocktails ever) & Harriett who were both super friendly & looked after us and a special mention to our fellow Scottish gal Reeann who really went over & beyond to look after us both days in the spa. It is soo lovely when staff become friends, she really is an asset and made our stay. The swim up bars were just incredible & had soo much choice!

In terms of other elements of our stay, the room was gorgeous with lovely little touches, plenty of car parking & the food was outstanding especially the gluten free choice, it was a real highlight! The male restaurant manager was duty really looked after us during breakfast & dinner. It was made even more special for my friend who was celebrating a special birthday. We also had a gorgeous afternoon tea at the spa. We had a lot of requests with different dietary and every single request was met, it was incredible!!!

This might sound silly, but my friend & I were actually emotional at times at how amazing this stay was & just how happy we both were. Sometimes its easy to get caught up in life, but this stay felt like we were away from reality for a bit. If you are thinking of booking, please book this & you will not regret it! It really is worth the money & more!!!

Thank you soo much to the full team & well done to Jess for putting soo much love & thought into the hotel!

Dreamiest spa stay!
Pros:

We went on a two-night stay at the Manor House Hotel and, from start to finish, we had the best time ever! Let’s start with the spa… WOW. The little spa bags with flip flops and towels are such a cute touch and made it so easy having everything together while moving around the spa. The spa itself feels incredibly secluded and private, with so many different areas throughout the garden and an amazing range of facilities. Even when it’s busy, it never feels crowded, as there are plenty of spaces to relax. I also liked that you aren’t allowed to reserve beds so there was never a struggle finding one - the staff were really on it with this! The highlight for me was definitely the two swim-up bars, it genuinely felt like we were abroad. I can’t recommend the Pornstar Martini made by Alex enough, easily the best one I’ve ever had! I also loved the heated loungers in the pavilion, such cosy vibes. We had afternoon tea included too, which was amazing. They listened to all our requests and talked everything through with us before serving, there was such a huge selection of cakes & sandwiches, the scones were my fave so fresh! We spent 9 hours in the spa and could easily have spent longer there, we were sad when we had to leave but we got to back before check-out from 9-11 which was fab!

Every single member of staff we came across was extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, nothing was ever too much trouble. A special shoutout to Alex, Reann (it was lovely to meet another Scot!) and Harriet, who truly made our visit a 10/10 - the staff really are such an asset to this hotel!

On our first night, we had dinner included and I was a bit worried because I’m quite fussy but everything was absolutely delicious, especially the beef and the sticky toffee pudding. We were there celebrating our birthdays and the staff surprised us with a Happy Birthday dessert plate, which was such a lovely touch. Would really recommend experiencing the food here.

Breakfast was just as amazing. The fact that you essentially get a two-course breakfast served to you isn’t something I’ve experienced before but I loved it! The freshly squeezed apple juice was unreal.

I can’t not mention how comfy the beds are! I had an amazing sleep both nights—the bed felt like a cloud and the pillows were so perfect I wish I had these at home!

Overall, I couldn’t recommend a visit to this hotel enough. The spa garden really does live up to all expectations, it's the most relaxing, dreamiest spa I have ever visited and I honestly can’t wait to go back!

An over night stay
Pros:

This was by far a lovely Christmas gift off our children for myself and my husband. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean and comfortable, food very nice. The spa, swimming pool etc are amazing especially the swim up bar pools a lovely treat😊.
If i had any niggles it would be that the heating was off the whole time we were there, so the bedrooms were cold even the towel rail in bathromm was turned off, i did ask at reception to be told that they are on a timer🤷 but it never came on not even in the morning!
The bubbles in the large pool only worked on one side of the pool, again i asked and was told by a member of the bar team they are on rotation and would see the switchboard. But that never happened we were in there 1 hour and they still didnt work.
And the fire alarm went off 3 times, I was in the shower on one occasion and had to get out and run down corridor with my robe on and wet dripping hair etc to be told it was a false alarm again🙈 !!
Apart from that, everything else was lovely and it wouldn't put me off booking again.

Lazy Sunday Spa Break
Pros:

we stayed at the Manor House Hotel and Spa for a one-night break and thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. We were able to check into our room a couple of hours early, which was really appreciated and instantly set a relaxed tone for the stay.

The spa facilities were lovely, and having evening access made it feel extra special. There's something about using the spa facilities in the dark that elevates it from "nice" to "ah yes, this is the life."

Dinner was the real highlight. The three-course meal was superb, and as someone with a gluten intolerance, I was really impressed by how well this was catered for. I had plenty of options to choose from and didn't feel like I was missing out all (which is always the dream).

The room itself was a great size and had everything we needed for a comfortable one-night stay. Breakfast the following morning offered lots of choice, and the added bonus of spa access until 1pm meant the stay felt like a proper break rather than a rushed overnight stop.

Overall, a genuinely lovely experience. I'd happily recommend the Manor House Hotel and Spa to anyone looing for a relaxing spa day or an overnight escape, and I would absolutely go back.

Total relaxation
Pros:

A wonderful time enjoying the range of facilities at this gorgeous location. A bag containing a dressing gown, towel and flip flops is provided on arrival. The map (see photo) was helpful to find our way around as there are lovely places tucked away in discreet corners to allow tranquility for everyone. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and staff are keen to tidy and clean to keep up the standard e.g. cushions are rearranged, blankets folded, towels hung up.
Staff very welcoming and attentive, especially Reece.
The brunch board was delicious and contains fresh fruit, pastries, jam and a granola top yogurt.
My drift away massage from Shelley was honestly the best I have ever had! She is an absolute asset to the Manor House!

Husbands birthday trip (return visit)
Pros:

We previously visited here around two years ago and it is our favourite spa we’ve been to so re booked for my husbands birthday.
Upon arrival we were pleased to be able to check in early for no extra cost and found a birthday card in the room, which was much appreciated.
We then had access to the spa facilities 4-7pm and there was an extra pool and a few extra facilities since we last visited. We enjoyed cocktails in the pool during the storm.
Tea at the stables was just as good as last time too. We were pleased to receive a birthday dessert plate too.
We then had the spa from 9-1pm and late check out and again enjoyed relaxing.
The only tiny improvement would be at breakfast the waitresses weren’t as friendly or helpful as the rest of the staff we encountered.
We would highly recommended for a spa and would happily re visit.
Thanks for making it a great birthday trip :)
