It was a lovely place shame there was a prom organised for that evening. After. Very long drive of 5hrs and out all day, it took 25 mid. To tests and enter the hotel grounds the. Another 20 mins to find a space . Breakfast was awful and wasn’t able to have any as we left early. We were told we could have something t it ale away then told we could, then told we could.
The evening was busy and not we wanted to. I will be writing a complaint

Check in was very easy and the restaurant food quality was very good.
I would expect tea and coffee facilities within the room but there was none. I did not like the fact that the shower was within the bath which, when stepping out and over the edge of the bath caused me to slip and almost fall.
Our room was a 'little tired' as where some of the other aspects of the hotel. It is a great building and could be a really fantastic venue. The meal in the main restaurant was very good, and in an air-conditioned environment. The rest of the hotel was not air-conditioned and consequently everybody suffered. The breakfast was 'OK', but not as much choice as expected for a continental breakfast. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful, especially in trying conditions. Luckily, we were given an oscilationg fan for our room, which did help, but I gather not all the rooms were provided with fans.
Our room was just a 'bit tired.

A grand stay on our wedding anniversary, Father's Day, and for the Father's Day lunch, A room upgrade to a garden room, and the Monday tea and cakes treat supplied by our daughter in law. Great staff service as well. What more could we want.

The new gym equipment was big surprise and looks very professional.
Lovely rooms and the Laughan suite was exceptional.
The front desk were very supportive for additional requests for my father’s room.
Luke warm water in the Laughan suite was a slight dampener on this review.

A little dated and no air conditioning in room so very warm.
The location for our visit was excellent. The staff were polite and helpful. Plenty of parking. It was bright and welcoming and breakfast’s were excellent.
The minus points that we found were this property does not have a lift. This is not stated on their website. My wife has mobility issues and had we known there was no lift we would have specified that we required a ground floor room. As the hotel was fully booked we were told a change of room was not an option. Our bathroom was a little dusty in places. In the main lounge area some of the tables had small bits of rubbish and dropped food on the carpet. Which we felt could have been seen by staff when clearing tables.
