Definitely not worth the money
Pros:

Our room smelled like someone had recently fried food inside the room, the blankets are poor quality, they are thin and scratchy and very uncomfortable. It was a non smoking room but it had multiple burn marks in the carpet. The pool had a film on the tiles that made it look like it’s not being cleaned properly.

Location was near Texas State University. It was a last-minute stay; there was availability and the price was excellent. The young lady that assisted us was very friendly and professional. The room was nice and clean. My only complaint, the vent in the bathroom was missing, so it felt a little creepy. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

San Marcos stay
Pros:

Good location near the rivers and swimming holes. Nice bed. Check in was odd. Had a problem checking in and they double charged me on the hold. My credit card removed it.

Ive been to a million best western hotels this hotel needs a upgrade. When we swam in the pool there was a roach. The towel holder in the restroom was loose, coming off the wall. I could go on but just neees a upgrade.
