The bed was phenomenal
That the lady accused me of having a cat in my room because I carry all my dogs stuff in a cat backpack. That was shity!
It was very clean and tidy and hot breakfast was great.
I knew we had an accessible bathroom, but just wished it still had some counter space. Would have been better if the hair dryer wasn’t attached to the wall in the bathroom. Much harder to use when you have mobility issues/devices. Would have made more sense to have a plug in hairdryer by the mirror outside of the bathroom.
Accessing the breakfast area was also difficult. No ramp to get down there at all.
Lastly, the pool could’ve been used had it been heated more. One of the reasons we chose to pay a little more was because of the pool. We have been to places where outdoor pools are used all year round because it is adequately heated.
Breakfast was good and room was clean.
Walls are thin. Could hear children running and parents laughing until late night. Lobby music was loud enough to hear all night. Housekeeping did not clean the room or refresh the towels. Has a smart tv but apps are blocked was unable to watch the supercross race. Attempted to get assistance from the front desk and they were unwilling to accommodate us and allow apps on the television.
Location and breakfast were good.
The room was not serviced the following morning. We were not informed it had to be requested.
Location
Food smells
The room was large and comfortable. The balcony was a nice addition.
The hotel was recently renovated with a good quantity of comfortable and clean wheelchair accessible rooms, so on a positive the hotel room was good. Shower though was not at all good. Very low pressure on a flimsy old fashioned cheap hand held shower head (I suspect standard rooms are better prepared).
Now the negative. Went to breakfast in the morning. 3 steps down to the recently renovated breakfast area. On asking where I could find access to the area told there was no access but they would get for me what I wanted and I could sit in the reception by a cold automatic door. . Whilst this wouldn't surprise me in some parts of the world I would never expect this is Los Angeles. I thought it appropriate to ask to speak to management. Their reaction made an annoying situation much worse. I would have expected a level of apology or concern. Instead was met with an extraordinary level of defensiveness and directed to find a sign that I apparently should have noticed when I checked in the previous night explaining this situation. On further inspection this sign wasn't anywhere to be seen. My suggestion that this sign be put by the offending stairs where you can't get down was brushed aside by the owner/manager who frankly couldn't have cared less.
