Location
Parking was difficult
Did not keep rooms stocked with towels, toilet paper sundries
Patio, outdoor Atmosphere
Room was old looking needed work! Had a odor that was not appealing!!
if it was an deodorizer they need to change, odor was like dirty laundry!
Thought it would clear but didn't!!
Locatie
De kamer was oubollig en best vochtig, kamers hebben een update nodig vooral de badkamer.
Property was pretty nice the room we had was pretty worn though carpet was stained, bathroom had rust in some areas as well as the tiling and the tub itself was stained.
The room just needed to be remodeled and the carpeting was fairly dirty. Corners of the room were a little dirty
Not much
The breakfast room was depressing with very little to offer. The hall way carpets were terribly stained. The deluxe room had decent decor but the bed and bedding was substandard. The room was over $400 for the night. This should be a $100 room
Friendly attentive pet friendly near the beach. Pool area very nice…
Rugs in my room sticky.
Location and price was really good
Old and some furniture were torn
We like the pool and the location
The room had mold and the carpet smelled
Clean rooms
Didn’t have vending machines , but on the website it stated they did.
We was booked in to be there for the Sunday the 2nd and Monday 3rd August 2026 so we booked up for $152 for the Sunday night and they said they would comp us the Monday night for free as they were doing some remodeling work and construction work so we said ok then on the Friday 31st of July we get a call from saying that they would not comp the Monday night we asked why and we asked had they completed the remodeling and construction work which they refused to answer so we said we would meet them halfway on the price of $152 which they flatly refused so we cancelled both nights i would never book up or give them my money again and yes we have stayed there before
Lo staff, sopratutto la signora della colazione
Un po caro per il tipo di struttura (classico motel senza infamia senza lode)
Let me start by saying if you want more fancy, high end place to stay in San Clemente. Don’t book here. But if you want something that’s on the cheaper end of the scale with a lovely pool area giving you prime location in San Clemente and can compromise on room quality for all the above, then book here. It’s rough around the edges, looks worn and tired in places BUT the room was tidy and clean but you have everything you need , toilet and shower facilities, sink area , TV and a big bed. We had the pull our sofa for our son. It’s all we needed. 10 min walk to a beautiful beach, 10 mins on a free trolley bus service to old town with some amazing places to eat (Nicks and Coastal Cowboy a must , Mimmos in downtown San Diego if you go that far) - just the most beautiful town to stay in. I would come back to the Casablanca as it was perfect for what we needed. Staff was friendly and Betty at breakfast is a superstar! Breakfast is free continental - choice of huge waffle, breakfast sandwich (think Mcdonalds egg and sausage McMuffin) , fruit, yoghurts, oatmeal or avocado on toast. Can’t wait to come back!
A bloody towel and broken tub outweighed the advantages of this hotel’s location. We were meeting friends for a quick weekend trip and excited by the quaint pictures and amazing location. Upon checking into our room, my wife opened the bathroom door, and the panel in front of the tub/shower fell off. The panel was cracked and had various bits of tape and Velcro that we assume were from past attempts to attach it to the tub. I immediately went to the front desk and showed the person there, who assured me that he would come and fix it. That never happened, and the tub and all of its parts remained exposed.
We left for the evening. The next morning, after showering, I was horrified to find blood spots on my towel. I had not shaved, and I had no blood anywhere on my body. It was nauseating - and no one should ever have to find blood (BLOOD!) at their hotel. Upon expressing my frustration to a new person at the front desk, I was directed to email a message to the GM without so much as an “I’m sorry for your experience.”
Several days after sending an email, I have not heard from the GM (I waited to post this to see if they would respond).
Add to that - the carpet was sticky, and I don't think anything has been updated since the '80s. It's a shame, because the location is fantastic, and the place obviously held some charm at one point. But it is coasting by on location and limited supply. Had they shown a minimal amount of effort and care, I believe we would have found a spot we'd return to again and again. As it is, we are one-and-done and sharing our warning.
