Would totally stay again, short walk to north beach was fun!

An absolute pleasure to stay there!
Pros:

This hotel gets better every day! That’s because you discover it’s ’new positives’ each day! I was fortunate to get a ‘spa room’ but the BEST thing about that room was the balcony 🫶 Very private and I could leave the balcony door open for FRESH AIR! How many places can offer you FRESH AIR these days? The staff were very friendly and patient (I tend to ask a lot of questions 😬)
The pool area was clean and private. And undercover parking was available for no extra charge! I also liked the public space with a fountain and seating, it was very inviting to spend time there. And the free breakfast was absolutely delicious! Waffles, avocados toast and breakfast sandwiches all prepared by a lovely lady attendant 🙂 The breakfast scenario was perfect! No queuing up for food with other guests meant it was very hygienic PLUS there were no guests ‘hoarding’ items and taking more than they needed (which can be a real problem in some buffet breakfasts 😕) Another plus was access to the main roads in and out of San Clemente! It was only 10 minutes to Dana Point along the coast route (in fact it was quicker to go to Dana Point to eat than try to go to the restaurant area in the Main Street of San Clemente!)

Cons:

I could be very critical and petty BUT I was really comfortable for my 5 nights there!

Wonderful location and spacious rooms but interior of the rooms feel outdated and worn out.
Pros:

We liked the location of the property. We liked that our room was right by the stairs that led to a convenient parking spot.

Cons:

Even thought we got the deluxe king spa suite, we didn’t like that the room felt worn out, outdated and unclean in a certain way. The interior was all around dark and unappealing. The staff was okay. The bottom sheet on our bed on both ends kept rolling up. It smelled a little musty as well inside. The carpet was stained. The water pressure was very meek for both shower and sink. The sink itself was a challenge to even use with such a low and small faucet and trickling water. There were not any complimentary toiletry amenities as one might usually find in a nice hotel.

It was great staff was wonderful
Pros:

Terrible and very disappointing had only one worker to put things in the microwave for you. Guess we’re crowding and in-line. Tried to get into the room only limited seating. Poor selection we left and went to a restaurant.

Horrible breakfast room. One could not make own toast or waffles. Very cramped and overly crowded. would be better not to have staff there to make everything. Badly laid out as well.
Very scratchy towels. Seemed cheap.

Gut für einen kurzen Aufenthalt
Pros:

Gute Lage und kostenloser Parkplatz. Das Zimmer entsprach unserer Vorstellung, man kann für den Preis nicht zuviel erwarten, war aber recht gross. Schöner Balkon.

Cons:

Wir haben zwei Nächte gebucht. Das Zimmer wurde nicht gemacht, man muss es melden, wenn man das will.

You can see the ocean and walk to it in 5 mins !! Staff is available 24/7 and late chk out if available no problem

I love this place. It’s an older building and it’s solid. You can be on the third floor and know that walking and jumping nobody’s gonna feel you downstairs because it’s just a solid building their standard small rooms have two beds a beautiful counter bathroom sink area great shower, microwave and refrigerator, great pillows super comfy bed all large rooms

Our Stay At the Casablanca Inn In San Clemente, CA
Pros:

First of all, what impressed me the most was how accommodating the front desk personnel were. We were being forced to stay in a hotel because our home was being fumigated. They let us check in early and allowed us to check out late to accommodate our schedule. We needed two separate rooms because our son needed a room as well. We also had our dog stay with us. Both rooms had a very private balcony, perfect to allow our dog to have fresh air. The rooms were a decent size, including a microwave, refrigerator, where everything worked well, free WIFI, all the cable channels available by COX, most importantly HVAC, so we were comfortable for our entire stay. And the more than ample parking that was FREE. And each morning they served free breakfast until 10 AM with a good assortment of fruits, muffins, danishes, coffee, tea, made fresh waffles with a nice variety of toppings.

It would have been nice to take advantage of outdoor pool and the gym, but sadly this was not a vacation for us. but for those who do stay here on vacation, you can’t beat the location and the price.
