Cons:

It was clean but not deep clean. Such as the bathroom lots of scuff marks on doors and the walls around bathroom area needs to be wiped down and the pedestal of the bed was bare wood which felt unfinished. But overall not dirty and good price for accommodation.

Let's be realistic
Pros:

The reviews for this motel are in need of a reality check. Currently, it's 4.3 on Trip advisor, which puts expectations way above what they're capable of delivering. It sits definitively into the category of a budget motel, and that's what you should expect.

The place isn't terrible. It sits in a quiet part of town, and was fine for a 1 night stay. That is, if you can overlook the obviously deferred (minor) maintenance issues. The first room I was assigned a "pet friendly" room, even though I don't have one, and didn't request this room type when booking. The room was TRASHED, and nothing like the photos. The young guy working the desk fought with me about a fee to change rooms, until the manager set him straight after seeing how bad it was. Be aware, they might try to pull this with you if booked via a 3rd party.

After changing rooms, it looked much more like a Best Western and pleasant enough. The main problem I had is that the AC unit was ancient, noisy, and kept waking me up. Additionally, the towels were so old that they were shredding apart and stained. The bathroom (and the room overall ) was very clean, actually. The shower didn't drain, and there was the beginning of mold starting to grow above the tub, but nothing major.

Motel Style, Drive Up To Your Room
Pros:

When we can find them, we love the convenience of being able to pull our vehicle right up to the door. This style of older Best Western's are getting harder to find.

We had a clean King room. It was very comfortable. This is a dusty, desert town, but the room was great. There was a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker in the room. It was close to the highway, but it was quiet.

Breakfast was average, but filling.

We will stop here again.
