Mirror was broken, bed set up should have been double not twin.
Beautiful hotel in a great location in Rotorua. We booked the suite so we had 2 bedrooms. The place was spacious, stylish and very clean.
The bedrooms felt a bit cold. Also, the bathroom is not as nice as the rest of the suite.
The pool was amazing. Staff were fabulous
The hotel is full of charm and history. Close to most amenities. The staff and facilities are excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Rotorua.
Average selection of food, average taste. Frequently out of food, needed to wait for replacements
Some staff are friendly while others are not so, inconsistent.
Advertising stated parking included. But the reality is, when free public parking at rear was fully occupied, guests must park at the front and pay for the parking.
Convenient location, close to Eat Street restaurants
Stylish facilities with old-world charm.
An excellent buffet breakfast, not included in room charge, but worth the extra to dine in a charming restaurant.
Some sound from upstairs guests noticeable in ground floor room.
(There was the option of ground or first floor room when booking)
I would opt for an upstairs room next time I visit.
De inrichting, de ligging en het ontbijt.
I loved my stay at Princes Gate Hotel. The old-world vibe is amazing. I loved the chandeliers all spotlessly clean and in beautiful condition. Staff were all friendly and helpful. I enjoyed a private sauna and pool session (book ahead if your stay is over the weekend). Get location too. I can’t wait to stay again.
Decor was nice.
Sound proofing. The noise from tenants walking on top floor apartment was annoying.
The private hot pool
The staff seemed genuinely happy in their jobs and went out of their way to help.

Fireplaces, hot pools , old world charm

Location and lovely staff.
Parking availability was not so good.
GORGEOUS hotel! This property is so beautiful and unique. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was gorgeous. I loved how elegant the rooms were with the chandeliers and the vibrant wallpaper! Breakfast was good. My partner loved the old fashioned phone in the room and was amazed it actually worked. 🤣
My only complaint is that the age of the building made the floors noisy, so you could hear everyone walking around outside, but it wasn’t a major negative.
Old charm
