We loved everything about this hotel including the warm reception we received.
This hotel is like time warp and is completely fabulous.
We enjoyed the hot pools in the morning before checking out and felt rejuvenated.

Air conditioner didn’t work
We loved its unique style and reference to the past. The bathroom and the shower in particular were the best we’ve experienced in our recent visit to NZ. The breakfast was also the best we’ve had on our tour
The stairs could be a problem given the fact you naturally have no lifts especially for carrying suitcases! This needs to be made clearer in the details of the hotel. The car parking needs to be made clearer with details in the main foyer - possibly on a large notice!
Lastly, when we arrived, the receptionist told us we had been upgraded to a complimentary Queen bedroom - when I checked this on your website, it would appear our room was an ‘Estate’ bedroom and in actual fact the lowest grade room! I would like to think this was an error rather than intentional deception

Air con not working properly
The way they've remodeled it is clever. You can tell it was an older property and they've restored it in an interesting way. The bed was comfortable and there is free parking on the side of the hotel. A short walk away from the lake and streets with many restaurants.
It's an older property, it's a wooden structure and you can hear everything. You can hear noise outside the door quite well and you can hear footsteps in the room above quite loudly. The breakfast was a poor option for a supposed five star hotel.
After over a year of upgrades, our geothermal system is now fully operational.
Enjoy our thermal heated pools, private pool, sauna, and full hotel heating — all restored and ready for your winter stay at Prince’s Gate Hotel！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！

We loved the history and the look of the hotel. We really appreciated the decor especially the chandeliers. The lounge area with the warming fires was fantastic and were lucky enough to enjoy a guest playing on the baby grand piano. The free parking was great for our hire car but we could still easily walk into the CBD.

Das Frühstücksbüffet ist ausgezeichnet.
Und im Duck‘s kann sowohl zum Dinner als auch zum Lunch ausgewählt gespeist werden.
