We stayed here the night of our wedding. The staff had put our bags in teh room as we didn't arrive until 1.30am and there was no worries with this. Thank you
The room was beautiful, comfortable bed, good shower ✨
We stayed 2 nights, the first night we used cups and spoons but when we came back after being out the second day the dishes were not washed or taken away and replaced. If there was a tea towel in the room we would have washed ourselves. Also we feel there should be bowls, plates and cutlery in the room. Otherwise happy with everything. Raewyn 🌈
Location
Experience was great, but in all honesty was overpriced and not that clean
The highlight of the booking was the vibe and the Victorian decor of the hotel. The staff were really friendly and the pools were nice too.
The room I booked was said to have an extra large double bed but we were given two single beds joined together with not enough cover on top, so the partition felt really uncomfortable in the middle.
Uitstraling en dicht bij centrum. Ook uitval naar omgeving was prima
Niks in het bijzonder
Wonderful old world charm. Nice rooms and great staff.
I was only able to stay two nights but I’ll be back.
The service to replace the TV was very good. The pools were nice. Full buffet breakfast was ok. Room was large and spacious. Staff were very friendly.
Some limited offstreet parking but mostly on street parking.
The ambiance
At times, too hot inside
Good location. Service good especially packed our breakfast for us earlier morning leaving.
location, central and easy to get around CBD. Decor was lovely and beautiful old building with lots of character and lovely outlook over government gardens. Lots of parking and places to eat nearby. Lounge area great for relaxing and sauna/pools added bonus.
shower had hair from a previous occupant in it. Coffee wasn't the best. A bit of noise from street and other occupants running along deck in night.

The buildings and rooms were big and very opulent. It was a joy to see the way the room was decorated. It had everything we needed!
It seemed like they were a little short-staffed the night we were there. It took a very long time to be greeted and helped when we came to the front desk and the restaurant. However, the people working seemed to be working hard and were very nice.
Also, just a note - Rotorua is a very suplhuric-smelling town! The smell lingered in the car and in our noses for quite a while after we left town. Just be braced for that.
Lovely old-school luxury vibe. Great value.
Off-street parking is purely hypothetical. We had to park in a back street. Fine for our rental car, but if we had one of our own cars, we'd not have been pleased, for a place that claims to be five star.
The outdoor facilities ans staff were wonderful
