Pros:

The receptionist Jaz was very helpful . He is a very professional person. The room was very clean, housekeeping came in daily for the three days we were there.

Cons:

The parking was advertised a free on booking .com however when we arrived we were told it had changed in July and now was charged per night. lucky for us Jaz waived these charges as they had asked us to change rooms .
We were given room 101 the disadvantage of this room is the doors from the reception are constantly in use and the doors bang shut. I did suggest to reception that they put a silent closer on the doors.

Location, very near to the M1

Cons:

Nothing by that bad, you get what you pay for. It was a big standard stay in an average hotel. The price reflects that so can’t complain. It was suitable for the price.

Pros:

Breakfast was great - plenty of choice. Rooms were exceptionally clean and all needs catered for. Staff were very pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful

Extremely disappointing stay – misleading information and unfair charges

As a long-standing IHG member, this stay at Holiday Inn Wigston was thoroughly disappointing from start to finish.
​Price Matching Denied: When calling ahead to ask about price matching, I was flatly told the hotel does not offer it—a first for me across many years with IHG, and directly contradicting their usual brand policies.
​Blue Badge Parking Charges: Charging guests with a Blue Badge for hotel parking is absurd, insensitive, and completely unnecessary.
​Incorrect Breakfast Hours: At check-in, the receptionist handed us breakfast vouchers and explicitly stated that Saturday breakfast opened at 6:30 AM. We got ready early, only to discover it actually started at 7:30 AM. Because I had to leave for work, we were completely unable to use the vouchers we were given.
​Misleading information, unfair policies, and poor communication made for a dreadful overall experience. I expected far better standards from an IHG property.

The bedding wasnt very pleasent has thw covers was ripped amdnthwre was stains on the duvet on the sofa bed they didnt smell very fresh mynson ended up sleeping on the floor has he refused to sleep in the sofa bed with the dirty linen i found it very dissapointing also couldnt sleep has people jn amd out the the other rooms banging doors andnup amd down the corridor all night it the worst weekend ever just for 2 nights
