I had a very comfortable one night stay at the Holiday Inn.
The hotel was very conveniently situated for the event I was attending nearby.
The staff were friendly, the facilities good and breakfast was very satisfying, with a range on offer.

Clean mostly, some staff at reception were helpful
Second day the cleaner poured the half drank hot chocolate (we left in the room) down the sink while we were out. When we came back in the evening, the sink was very dirty and the hot chocolate has dried. At least run the tap and let it wash down the sink!

The room was absolutely disgusting, complained at hotel desk and was given email addresses. Emailed these email addresses and had no reply so now taking it higher

It was close to our relatives in Leicester.
The reserved room wasn’t available when we arrived at 5pm.We needed to change as we were going out with relatives that evening.We were offered a temporary room to change in, however there was no electricity.So the lights and heating was off in the room and bathroom.We we returned at 10pm our room was ready, however the windows were wide open and the heating was off.We then discovered that the heating wasn’t working,So we sat in our outside coats till and engineer arrived some 30minutes later. He eventually discovered that the heating in the room and bathroom had been switched off from two different switches.The switches were located at ceiling height.So at 11pm the heating came on.
