Awful, would never stay here again
Pros:

Lovely adults only pool

Cons:

Me and my sister stayed for 2 nights as she was visiting me in ireland from aboard. It was 27 degrees in Kilkenny the day we arrived. At check in we had asked if there was AC in the room and they said yes. The room we were given actually had no ac and was extremely warm as you could barely open the window. We couldn’t sleep and realised at about 11:30pm that the radiator was on in the room and tried to turn it off, we then rang reception for someone to come up and ensure it was off and to bring us a fan, the staff member wasn’t sure how to turn off the heating, he said he thought it was off and provided no fan. The heating wasn’t off. In the morning we asked if it was possible to move rooms to a room with ac, reception said yes and that our room would be prioritised, check out was at 12 so the room would be ready soon after that. We arrived back at the hotel at 3:30pm (check in was at 4) and the room still wasn’t ready so obviously it wasn’t prioritised as promised and we sat there at reception for 45 mins waiting. Then the second room we moved into had ac but was an a-joining room to a group of lads drinking and partying in the room and we could hear every word in their conversation through the ajoining door- no chance of sleeping. We were then finally moved to a 3rd room and managed to sleep. Worst hotel stay ever, it ruined the trip and we were offered no compensation what so ever.

Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay, especially considering the high cost for just one night.
Pros:

As wedding venue it was very good.

Cons:

I’ll start with being woken at 7am by a very noisy tractor and loud banging directly outside my bedroom window. The work being carried out by hotel staff at that hour was completely inappropriate due to the level of noise it created for guests staying on that side of the hotel. It was unnecessary and very inconsiderate to those trying to rest.

Secondly, at breakfast I was asked by a member of staff whether I would like tea or coffee, and I requested coffee. It didn’t arrive, so I had to ask again. When it finally did arrive, I was presented with a bill for it despite the fact that /coffee was included with breakfast.

well worth the money. Clean property with great rooms and fairly close to downtown.
Pros:

The fridge in our room wasn't working and the staff was also unsure if the room had sufficient heating so they upgraded us to a much nicer room without us asking. Bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was great with lots of options.

Cons:

No complaints at all. If it had been within walking distance of the main town square it would have been better but we had a car and it was easy to find parking.

Pros:

Nice, clean hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Despite several events each day, weddings, communions, it never felt too busy or crowded. Great family hotel, great kids facilities, but had enough of a classy feel to assure adults. Dinosaur park next door is a huge boom for kids. The location is a little far from the town centre but only a short taxi ride at worst. Our family room was comfortable, with proper air-conditioning and was very clean. Good base to explore from.

Cons:

Bit further out of town than others. The car park is outdoors but seems narrow, and it pays to be careful.

Pros:

Bar Food was excellent and staff very good., Conference facility also very good and the sweet trolley a big hit.

Cons:

Breakfast - 7.30am start time for breakfast is too late for weekdays, particularly if meetings /conferences are starting at 9am, as a result there was alot of people waiting and having breakfast in a short 30 minutes window 7.30am-8am with staff overwhelmed with guests in 30 minutes. I expected better selection at Breakfast i.e no cheeses available eventhough the sign above the table suggested otherwise. I used the milk from the container at the cereal counter which tasted off and not fresh, I mentioned this to the staff, not sure what happened afterwards or whether other customers had the same experience as the milk container did not seem to have been changed.
