I would like a discount
Pros:

The Hotel had a great view of the river and fall colors, art work was beautiful, clean room, friendly front desk employees upon arrival

I spent a lot of money, when I checked in I confirmed my room details I was asked if I would be using the pull out sofa bed. and would I like bedding/linens? Yes, then I was told that I would be provided them once the housekeeping was finished ok about an hour? As my family would be going to dinner next door. I got back in an hour hour and a 1/2? I then asked upon return from dinner talked to the same gal at the front desk. No the linens were not ready I then asked if they would be brought to the room. I was told yes they will bring up the linens. I never received the linens/ bedding to use the pull out sofa. I slept on a small couch that was like a plastic/vinyl material that was not comfortable made me warm in temp and I was in pain from sleeping on it. Again with no linens/bedding I could not use the pull out sofa the point of having the extra bed and a suite from what was advertised. Upon check out I was asked by a different front desk employee how my stay was? I explained I would like a discount for not having a bed to use. I was told that she could not do anything at the hotel level since I booked it thru booking .com. I explained I was never provided the linens/bedding after speaking to someone 3 times. The new gal at the front desk said they were really busy. After speaking to the same person 3 times and how many hours later waiting I would like a discount. The restaurant is not part of the hotel it is actually The Green Mill. The breakfast you pay $15.00 per person only for the food to be cold. So I feel I should be given a discount of some sort .

Pros:

It appeared to be a a newer room. Smelled like new. Clean. Beds were comfortable.

Cons:

Little things weren’t looked at closely. Wrong channel changer for the TV, Samsung TV with a Philips remote. Toilet mechanics must be leaking because the toilet would fill every 20 minutes. There was electric heat and the base boards appeared to not be put together right or completed. Door had a huge gap on the bottom. Could practically look into the room if you knelt down and it was like you had the door open cause you could hear plan as day people walking and leaving their rooms. Put a door threshold spacer in and it was fixed.

Cons:

There were only 2 bath towels & 1 wash cloth in the bathroom. The screen for the window has a hole in it, as if someone had attempted to enter room from outside at one point in time.

Wonderful location
Pros:

The hotel is in a great location downtown, right on the river and within walking distance to multiple restaurants. We loved the 24/7 espresso machine in the lobby. The room was spacious.

Cons:

While the walk in shower was beautiful, the water pressure left something to be desired.

Our party enjoyed their stay.
Pros:

Very clean and we love the connection to The Green Mill

Cons:

Our room wasn't ready at 3pm check in time, even though we had called in the morning and inquired about early check-in possibility, letting the staff know that we would be in town by 1:30-2pm. We were not able to access our room until 3:40pm

The pool area was nice, and my children enjoyed the kiddie pool. The room was a nice temperature and didnt smell of pool as I expected (pool facing room).

Cons:

Upon check in, I was almost turned away with my two young children as I have a "local address." I booked this room because it was one of the last available in the area after both my AC units went out and my apartment was over 100 degrees, which is unsafe for sleep. Luckily the staff member saw my panic and I was able to stay. However, this policy isnt readily available upon booking and the tiny print on the website for this policy is so hard to find. So disappointing.

Additionally, upon waking up in the morning, I discovered the blanket I had been using had old blood stains right by my face.

Last year when we stayed we had Best Western pillows . This year they where flat and felt worn out. The Best Western pillows were so nice, we went out and purchased them for our house pillows.
