On arrival we thought we had booked the wrong hotel as it looked closed as there was a lot of fencing and debris outside the hotel. The receptionist was very welcoming and said the hotel was just opening after a period of closure and asylum residents. There was no bar or restaurant or facilities. We also paid £5 for car park as advertised but were then told we did not need to pay. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom dirty and had a leak. To be honest the hotel should not be selling rooms yet.
Excellent service very professional and friendly staff clean hotel and rooms enjoy my stay definitely recommend
Good room good location, nothing not to like really
Good
Booked and got a call shortly after saying no kitchen during my stay.
The day of my arrival I got a call stating reception would be closed in 30 minutes and my room key would be left on the desk.
Arrived and the property is mid renovation, I'm booked in on floor 3, with a suitcase etc to walk up as no lift. A group of young girls had got locked out of their room, and no staff there to help them, leaving them vulnerable!
The car park is being used for airport parking, and in the Unlit carpark you connot see the parking organisation signs for registering to park - none in reception either.
I would have cancelled aftwr knowing about no kitchen, but it was a non cancellation booking (no choice and not clear!)
AVOID
Very convenient for Manchester airport. The room was comfortable
A nice hotel, handy for the airport. Ate in the restaurant which was pretty good. Room was ok with good bathroom but very hot at night.
Stayed here for 1 night after returning from holiday as landed in Manchester Airport late.
Check in was quick & easy. Was allocated room 315. Room was extremely hot. Radiator was off but looked liked main boiler heating pipes were chased round 3 walls of the room & bed was in middle of this. Was like lying in an oven, opening the tiny hopper windows made no difference, a very uncomfortable sleep!
Told receptionist in morning on check out and she didn’t care.
Well worth the money. Great service and good food.
The plug holes need to be cleaned desperately as full of hair and don’t drain well. The sheet didn’t cover the mattress so I spent all night fighting with it and getting tangled up. I had an exec room so was grateful for the sofa.
Everything was brill. Food was lovely and staff was helpful.
It was just okie. I will not go back again.
I was attending for an exam at the hotel hoping to have a relaxed night before hand. I arrived at 6pm after work and was not able to check in due to the unforseeable power cut. However we were told electricity would be back at 7:15 and so we all waited in the lobby but were not informed that the check in was open and other guests started arriving and were checked in before us all and so I was not checked in until 8:30. It was unfortunate
The room was modern and had a bath as well as shower, the bad things, the phone didn’t work so couldn’t order room service, the room wasn’t cleaned properly, dust on ledges and bed side drawers, carpet wasn’t vacuumed properly I:e: round the edges and under things. The service wasn’t good either, we went down to see if we could order some food to the room ( phone wasn’t working) there was nobody on reception so went to bar just got ignored they was to busy worrying about a wedding they had on, so went to the restaurant, we wanted a pizza just veg ( I’m vegan) was told could only have it with cheese on ( I’m vegan) so ended up walk-in in the poring rain to get a takeaway needles to say we won’t be staying again
Staff very helpful and so friendly could not do enough for us
I had room 216 and it was lovely to be able to curl up on a sofa and chill while watching tv.
This was a business trip, the rooms heating was constantly too high despite a complaint made nothing could be done about it, a fan was provided which did nothing, there was no air con... wouldnt stay here again
Hotel was okay-is, room quite small though. Please be prepared to pay a £100 fine (£60 if paid within 14 days) for parking. Even after registering the car with the reception, I still got a fine from Parking Eye and they did not remove the fine despite being told that I was staying at the hotel AND had registered the car with the hotel (as I was asked by the hotel to do). The hotel themselves haven't got back to my email response too! So beware.
Had a great stay before jetting off on holiday, the receptionist was very helpful informing us that next time we can book to leave our car at the hotel, The rooms were very clean, the one problem was the draft lager at the bar was very poor, they replaced it immediately with another brand, but the lines defo need cleaning
Numerous stains down the base of the bed, bath dirty too. Room was too hot and window only opened up really wide so couldn't open it due to having children with me. Staff was very friendly, but quiet, requested towel for my room and none was brought up. Breakfast was very expensive and not at all work the money you pay, ended up paying 5pounds each for my children to have a bowl of cerial.
