White Hill Country House

Super stay in lovely comfortable rooms, very good hosts, truely good experience, amazing breakfast with great coffee.

Mary and Gerrard were fabulous hosts, nothing to much trouble for them, beautiful accommodation and breakfast was wonderful, went out of their way to provide dairy free products.

The hosts, Ger and Mary were excellent. The food was delicious and the surroundings out of this world. The only downside for me was the headroom in the bathroom as a result of the sloping ceiling (I'm 6' 4") and the lack of a shaving mirror.

Firstly we were ungraded from a two bedroom to an entire apartment. We were staying for just two nights. On arrival we were welcomed warmly by Mary's lovely sister who showed us to the apartment. It was fabulous. Large and spacious, it had everything we could possibly need. Later Gerard came to show us how everything worked and asked what time we would like breakfast next morning. He and Mary brought breakfast which was freshly cooked and piping hot. Loved the freshly squeezed orange juice. It was so nice to just sit around the kitchen table and enjoy breakfast at our leisure. Later we headed off to explore the beautiful towns and surrounding areas of Co. Monaghan. We ended our day with a movie night. Next morning started out with another delicious hot breakfast which was more than ample. We left to do a bit more shopping and exploring before heading home. Mary and Gerard run a beautiful B&B set in fabulous grounds. A lovely kind and welcoming couple. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Looking forward to returning soon.

The owners couldn’t be more wonderful. We had a truly quintessential Irish countryside experience. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. The warm breakfast was a very nice touch. I would stay here again.

Entry to the property was a little unclear and quite a rough entry road. Needs a name label at the gate.

Arrived late at night and were warmly welcomed by Mary and Gerard. We had a huge en-suite bedroom with beautiful country views. So clean,quiet and comfortable! Tea &coffee making facilities in room and bottles of water provided. The vegan breakfast was absolutely amazing,better than any hotel we’ve stayed in. Great value for money. Would highly recommend.

This was our first encounter with Ireland. We loved the place, the food and the owners. We were treated like royals. That place has so much character and Mary & Gerard cared for us for our entire stay there.

We really enjoyed our stay at White Hill Country House. Gerard the owner and his wife made us feel very welcome, we had a beautiful room with plenty of space for my 2 daughters, husband and I. Breakfast the following morning was homecooked and delicious. We would definitely recommend it to others and will certainly return to stay there again.
