Beautiful location, highly recommend
Pros:

This is a fantastic location. There are many amenities nearby, such as a laundromat, convenience store and a train station, which made this an excellent stay. I really enjoyed my time here and looked forward to relaxing next to the scenic canal after a day exploring Kyoto. The staff were helpful and kind. I would definitely come here again.

A hidden gem I’d happily return to

The property was within easy walking distance of a number of cultural sites and situated along a peaceful canal, making it perfect for a morning or afternoon stroll. The bathroom was also beautifully designed, with a range of lighting options that created a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. The free after-hours bar was a particularly thoughtful touch, offering a generous selection of spirits to choose from, along with just the right amount of light snacks to unwind after a day of exploring. The staff were also consistently polite and eager to assist.

Cons:

Our room was bit on the smaller side (not unusual for Japan), but perfectly comfortable.

Pros:

Das Hotel war eine Ruheoase mit perfekter Anbindung an alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ebenfalls gab es jeden Abend eine erstklassige, kostenfreie Open Bar zur Selbstbedienung. Besonders die Aufmerksamkeit und Gastfreundlichkeit des Personals haben uns beeindruckt.

Room and Location were good, would recommend for stay in Kyoto
Pros:

Room was clean and location was very good

Cons:

Staff is friendly but english is limited. I went to check for breakfast but selection was limited so I didn’t buy it. Overall hotel was nice but didn’t seem like 5 star hotel

Pros:

Stylish, free drinks and snacks in the evening

Cons:

Breakfast was a bit limited, some staff had very limited English (I should really have made more effort to to learn some basic Japanese)
Entry to the hotel wasn't immediately obvious!
