Hotel Saint Sophia

The hotel location is prime, right in the middle of everything in Sultan Ahmet. All major attractions are within 3-5min walk. From my room i could see Hagia Sofia, blue mosque and Basilica Cistern. But the best part of our stay/experiance was the staff; Mr. Murad and Mr. Omar, they were amazing. They advised us on the best times to visit attractions, best local food joints and arranged airport transfers. The day we checked in, we felt the room is small for us so I told Mr. Murad and he upgraded our room to a bigger room with a stunning view. Another thing we loved about the hotel was their breakfast; full Turkish breakfast with several options for hot items. Overall great place and people. We would highly recommend this venue specially if you are visiting Istanbul for the first time. AND full five STARS to Mr. Murad and Mr. Omar for making our stay memorable.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the most perfect location if you are wanting to visit Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and the Topkapi Palace - in fact it is so close to these attractions that our room had a lovely balcony directly overlooking the Hagia Sophia!

There is a great vibe being in the historic area of Istanbul and, with these major attractions being so walkable from the hotel, you can easily pop back to your room if you want to change out of your mosque-compliant clothes after a visit to feel more comfortable in the hot weather.

Our room was spacious and well-presented with a comfortable bed and a stylish bathroom with a large shower and great water pressure. Big mirrors (including a magnifying mirror for makeup), a comfy lounge chair, great air-conditioning and lots of light were all appreciated.

Breakfast was huge and varied. We had the choice of an egg dish which was individually cooked (I had eggs benedict and my husband had the local spicy dish, both of which were fabulous) plus lots of little dishes containing pastries, meat, cheeses, fruit and more. It was beautifully presented.

Best of all however, were the staff. We only stayed one night as a stopover on our way home and I was unfortunately sick so found it hard to stay out all day in the heat. Even though we had already checked out, the staff were so lovely and let us keep coming back to the comfortable lounge area to rest in between visiting attractions. They offered us coffee and water and did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

When we came to leave to go to the airport, the front office manager on reception phoned our taxi company at his suggestion to ensure the driver stopped as close as possible to the hotel as it is in a no-vehicle area. Then Omir who was super-helpful, wheeled all our luggage down the road for us and waited until our taxi arrived.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again next time we are in Istanbul.

Ubicación perfecta, a metros de Tranvía, Santa Sophia, Mezquita Azul, Basílica Cisterna (al frente) y palacio Topkapi. Buen desayuno y personal muy amable. Especial mención a Ömer.

Locatie!!! Top pal naast Aya Sophia en naast tram 1 die erg nuttig is voor vervoer naar andere bezienswaardigheden. Istanbul kaart is een must. Hotel serveert - prijzig!! - ontbijt met veel diverse gerechten [kaas/vlees/fruit etc] en keuzemogelijkheid uit diverse ei varianten. Koffie en thee wordt kosteloos na geserveerd. Men spreekt Engels. Buiten klein terras met prachtig uitzicht en desgewenst voldoende alcoholische dranken naar keuze.

Fantastic location, opposite the Basilica Cistern, walking distance to restaurants.
Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Staff were helpful. Bfast was good.

Great location to see the mosques, palace and cistern, all within under 10 minutes from hotel.

The hotel is located just adjacent to the Hagia Sophia and within walking distance of all major tourist sites around Sultan Ahmet square. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The included breakfast is extensive. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back

В первую очередь хотелось бы похвалить вид из номера на Айя-Софию и Голубую мечеть.
Сотрудники отеля были очень вежливы и всегда были готовы прийти на помощь, особенно хотелось бы поблагодарить администратора Хакана, всегда был готов помочь по всем вопросам связанных с номером, а также с экскурсиями.
Завтраки отличные, несколько видов блюд на выбор (в основном с яйцом), напитки на выбор чай/кофе, лимонад/сок, и традиционный turkish breakfast. Также довольно неплохие цены на небольшие блюда в кафе при отеле, относительно других заведений в Султанахмете, вполне себе хорошие цены и хорошее качество.
Сам номер был достойно обставлен, имеется сейф, телевизор, мини-холодильник, капсульная кофемашина с капсулами от отеля. В ванной комнате фен, душ, унитаз со встроенным гигиеническим душем.
Транспортная доступность в целом хорошая, можно пешком дойти до метро через Босфор, на одинаковом расстоянии от отеля находятся трамвайные станции Гюлхане и Султанахмет. В целом для любителей пеших прогулок можно пешком дойти и до порта Эминёню.
Буквально в 1-2 минутах ходьбы находятся главные, по моему мнению, достопримечательности Стамбула Базилика Цистерна, Айя-София, Голубая Мечеть, Топкапы, Ипподром. Очень удобно для тех, кто собрался в путешествие именно по историческим местам Стамбула.
Из удобств для туристов также буквально в том же квартале есть обменник валют, на момент поездки обмен рублей на лиры там был самый выгодный из всех, тех что встречали в Стамбуле, по долларам и евро по-моему встречал получше в районе трамвайной остановки и у рынков.

Great generous breakfast spread with olives, cheeses, honey, jams and breads along with freshly prepared eggs- so good. Close to all the sights within walking distance. Across the street from the newly opened Basilica cisterns. Warm Turkish hospitality!
