Very close to the airport, you can walk to the International Plaza mall, Whole Foods is less than 5 minutes away, Publix is about 7. There is a large green space for your dog to enjoy. Rooms are well-designed and have been just refreshed (but you will have to do dishes by hand). 4k TV with open HDMI ports (pack your Apple TV with an HDMI cable). The place is very well run
No full breakfast—just light snacks like oatmeal and bars.
I initially booked 13 days and later extended my stay to 15 days. When I arrived late at night, I was assigned Room 121 near the front desk. Due to the noise from check-ins and check-outs, I was unable to sleep well. The next morning, I requested a room change and was moved to Room 319. I would appreciate it if quieter rooms could be assigned initially to improve guest comfort.
next door to the International Plaza mall & to the airport.
Family-like Atmosphere. Very well-managed . Rooms & common areas have been recently refreshed"
Great experience on a quick business trip!! The staff were friendly, facilities clean and hotel close to bars, food, and entertainment! Couldn't have asked for a better experience while visiting Tampa!
Location
Lobby smelled like urine and still had St Patrick’s Day decoration up. “ Breakfast” was a joke.
For the price I was expecting more. This place is a dump and will never stay at Extended Stay again!!
The staff I encountered on both days were very friendly and helpful in answering my questions and meeting my needs. The room was nicely appointed and I could see myself staying there a few days with the amenities offered and that could be requested. I loved all the outlets available. The to-go breakfast was nice as well.
Although I wanted a non smoking room, and my room didn't smell of smoke, I felt like I could smell smoke (weed/cigarette) coming from somewhere into my room. It would be nice if the vending machine was more easily accessible and perhaps on each floor. While I appreciated the fact that they had a door dash/menu in the desk drawer, having that info on the website would be nice as well to allow for short term pre-planning. A
I recently stayed at this property for three nights, and it was a consistently poor experience from check-in to check-out. I would not recommend this hotel to business travelers or anyone valuing privacy and basic service.
Major Issues Encountered:
• Security & Privacy Breach: Upon check-in, the receptionist was visibly confused by the system. After "correcting" my reservation, I was assigned a room that was already occupied. Walking into a room with people inside is unacceptable and made me feel intimidated regarding my own privacy for the rest of the trip.
• Sleep Disruption: At 1:00 AM on my first night, the emergency alarm went off for no reason and blared for nearly 30 minutes because staff didn't know how to disable it. I arrived at my office the next day exhausted and sleep-deprived.
• Inexplicable Housekeeping: I returned to find that housekeeping had removed the shower curtain and all toiletries from the bathroom. Strangely, they had taken my personal items and stuffed them into a bag near my suitcase. I reported this to the front desk; they promised a solution, but nothing was ever fixed.
• False Advertising (Breakfast): The hotel claims to include breakfast. In reality, it is merely a coffee station with instant oatmeal packets. Calling this a "breakfast" is a stretch at best.
Final Verdict
Between the lack of basic amenities (no shower curtain, no soap, no shampoo), the security lapse of double-booking a room, and the noise issues, this was a highly uncomfortable stay. Definitely not a good option in the Tampa Airport area.
Stayed here recently and had a solid experience overall. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a simple stay.
This isn’t a luxury hotel, but it did exactly what it was supposed to do... provided a safe, quiet place to rest. The hallways and common areas were kept up, and I appreciated how responsive the team was when I had a question.
Based on my experience, I’d stay here again.
I was charged twice once by bookings.com and then by extended stay
I absolutely loved my stay at the extended stay America, everything was perfect.
Nothing
The most rude front desk person I’ve ever dealt with. Glared at me, demanding ID cards from both me and my wife. Demanded credit card. Instead of saying please or thank you she says: you’re free to go, while still glaring almost angry looking. No information about the property. Vending machines not working. She said they aren’t our responsibility. After a long day of traveling and you’re tired, it’s really stressful dealing with a person that is this rude and unhelpful.
Clean room and I had everything I needed
The parking lot was congested, but I understood that it was because it was under construction.
The space in the room was adequate.
The staff was extremely rude to my elderly mother and apparently rude to all my students' parents that were also staying there.
Nothing
Everything
Everything!
The bed was very comfortable and clean, the structure was welcoming and the location interesting.
The smell of detergent was too strong and the room was never ventilated... There was this bad smell coming out of the bathroom with the tub full of hair from the previous occupant. An unpleasant smell that was covered by a nauseating detergent smell.. but it wasn't exactly dirty. In the corridor I met several customers smoking... The staff was exquisite.
