I can’t imagine that there’s a better place to stay in Bled— Homey and comfortable.
Pros:

I’m pretty good at picking hotels, because I travel a great deal and I know what I’m looking for. But I was wrong about this one. It’s not just good, it’s absolutely great!!! I’d give it an 11 or 12 if Booking.com allowed anything higher than 10. I had one of the attic rooms, and it was an absolutely beautiful room. Quite large, nicely furnished in pine, dead quiet, plenty of space for my stuff, a very nicely appointed bathroom, a great shower— and on and on and on. The entire pension was just like my room— as nice as could be. Petar and his staff keep the place spotless and well maintained. You’re only a few minutes walk from the lake. There’s plenty of parking at the penzion. Breakfast was a nice selection, with fresh cooked eggs as an option.

As Peter put it to me when I was telling him how much I appreciated all of the care and thoughtfulness that have gone into his penzion: “it’s not just a hotel, it’s a home.” and I have to agree with that. It’s the perfect place to stay in Bled.

Cons:

This isn’t something that I didn’t like, but it probably goes here. There are no elevators. So if you have mobility problems, make sure you can get a room on the first floor. You have to go down to the basement level for breakfast, so that’s another flight of stairs. If you can manage it, then there isn’t a problem.

I’m not as young as I used to be, and I didn’t have any problems with the stairs, but I couldn’t get my big suitcase up or down very easily. I could have managed it, because I’ve had to do that in the past. However, it’s not my idea of a good time. I very much appreciated that the staff was more than willing to help me with that. I was able to manage my carry-on by myself.

La amabilidad de todo el personal, da mucho gusto que te reciban tan bien y siempre todos atentos.
El desayuno es muy variado y abundante.
La limpieza es perfecta, con muchos buenos detalles y super ordenado y limpio todo el tiempo.

We recommend Penzion Kaps for your stay at Lake Bled
Pros:

The accommodation was easy to find with ample parking. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The property was beautifully clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable and it was very peaceful to sleep in a room darkened by excellent blinds. There was a good choice for breakfast and it is always a nice touch to have eggs cooked to order. Perfectly located a couple of minutes walk from the lakes edge.

Cons:

We couldn’t fault it.

Good breakfast. Best location. Perfect for solo travellers.
Pros:

I had the best stay at Penzion Kaps while travelling within Slovenia. The property is perfectly located as it’s close to the lake as well as the city center.
While checking in I was very well attended at the desk and was guided about all the activities in and around Bled. The room also had an apple juice and some chocolates which were a very kind gesture in my opinion.
All the major attractions are easily accessible either by the bus or by walk.
The breakfast was amazing and they had a lot of vegetarian options too.
