We have been Marriott Bonvoy members for 25+ years. As a result we have seen the best, and the worst, of the Marriott brand around the world. After spending four nights here this hotel sits in the middle at 2.5 out of 5 stars.

First the good. The staff all around were very friendly and welcoming. The location is also on the beach at the quiet north end of Pompano Beach. The lobby level is also nice with a lot crammed into a small space. The breakfast is free but average at best. Good budget hotel for a vacation.

Now the bad. Our room was a quirky dated layout from when it was a rental condo over a decade ago. You entered directly into an entry hall with washer and dryer and two doors. It was technically a two room unit. The bedroom had a king sized bed and full bath. The second room was like an efficiency apartment with a partial kitchen, queen size bed, bathroom, dining, and living area all in one. All appliances are old, worn out, and very noisy. The refrigerator made very loud clunking noises every time it cycled off. The AC unit in the “efficiency” room was also very loud as it cycled on and off. Luckily we did not sleep in the efficiency room because it would have been hard due to the noise. The bed mattresses were also old. Overall the furnishings and decor is getting old and worn out and is need of a remodel. The layout could probably be modernized also while they are at it from its old “timeshare” condo days. Overall it felt like we were staying in an older Town Place suites not a Residence Inn. The pool is nice but small and gets very crowded. Umbrellas and shade areas are also at a premium competing with the other guests. The worst part at the pool were the dogs running loose (not on leash) around the pool all afternoon on our first day. One dog actually ran off with one of my wife’s sandals. We brought it up with the management and we did not see anymore dogs during our next two days. (They may have checked out). Valet parking here is not a luxury but a necessity because they do not have enough parking spaces on site. The valet staff is very friendly but if your vehicle is offsite it may be a 15-20 minute wait which requires prior coordination. The restaurant and bar is high priced with average food.

Overall there are better locations. If you are looking for a budget vacation spot on Pompano Beach this location will do. Like all of the other hotels in Florida the extra charges do add up though. If you want a nicer experience though at a little higher price point we recommend the Marriott next door. They have a much nicer larger pool and larger beach area along with a beach bar on the beach. Definitely a more premium resort feel all around. Also since there are many more umbrellas and shade areas available you just may spend the same or less by not renting umbrellas and cabanas on the beach every day.

Every employee was very friendly. Our favorite was Nicole at the front desk. She has an amazing personality & always strives to make your stay even more enjoyable. Skylar in the restaurant was incredibly efficient and always friendly. The cleanliness of this hotel was top notch, from the room to the lobby to the restrooms on the 1st floor. The only downside of this property was their beach. It seems it was never repaired/replenished after prior storms. But, I have to say, next to the pool, they created a very nice sandy beach area with lounge chairs.

From the location to the staff to the cleanliness; it was all of the highest caliber.

My wife and I chose this hotel for our honeymoon night, and it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and celebrated. After learning that we had just gotten married that day, they surprised us with a room upgrade along with champagne and snacks waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful touch and made our first night as newlyweds even more special.

The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and the service was exceptional throughout our stay. I would also like to recognize Frank from valet parking. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. His positive attitude and excellent customer service made a great first impression and added to the overall experience.

Thank you to the entire team for helping create such wonderful memories for us. We will always remember our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel during our honeymoon! We had just gotten married a few hours before arriving, and when the staff found out, they went above and beyond to make our celebration even more special. They graciously upgraded our room and gifted us with champagne and snacks, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture.

Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy for us. A special thank you to Frank from valet parking, who was outstanding throughout our stay. He was friendly, professional, and always greeted us with a smile, making us feel truly welcomed from the moment we arrived.

I arrived in town to Pompano Beach for a work trip. The valet were welcoming and helpful however I wasn’t expecting to pay for valet and there was no other option for parking overnight. The breakfast food was okay. The floors were super slippery no matter the time of day and it wasn’t from water. The restaurant was very expensive. We had a room credit included with our stay that included $20 which we were able to use to for dessert. The pool was nice but it closes at 8pm! Why have a beautiful clean lighted up pool just to close it at 8pm? Had I noticed it closed that early I would have chosen to stay elsewhere. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the room was spacious and the view was nice from the balcony. The elevators were an issue for us several times and we had to consider the possibility of getting snagged waiting for the elevator to make it to our work trip obligations on time.

The location of this hotel is amazing right on the beach with a restaurant! Not to mention the super fast and helpful valet service! Frank & Antonio were super friendly and attentive. Thanks for a great stay!

Hotel is getting a little long in the tooth as it is in need of some upgrades. Rooms are getting rundown. Our couch had major issues. Our TV set was black on one side of the screen. Kitchen was fine. Bathroom lighting was poor.
The help around there were the best thing this hotel has going for it. Friendly and nice, they "made" this place. Good people.
The valet parking upset me. $36 per night, fine. But when my adult daughter went to get her car to go home at 5:30am no one was to be found. She went to the front desk who couldn't find them either. After 30 minutes they finally showed up. But her car wasn't "onsite" so they had to go retrieve it. What did they do? They left in another car to go get her car. Fine. Except it was MY CAR! (How random was that?) They did not have my permission to do this. They need to get their own transportation. My car seat had sand in it which was interesting as we only drove the car to various hockey rinks, never to the beach. This truly makes me angry.

I like the view and the ease access to the beach. The studio was very comfortable and clean.

The one-bedroom suite was nice with a balcony and view of the pool and beach. It was Pet-friendly and very spacious. I liked that there was a restaurant on the premises and a free breakfast in the morning. The food was good and the pool looked nice, but did not get to go in it. We walked to the beach and it was really nice. The beds were really comfortable and the room had newer carpet and paint, it also had a kitchen with a full size refrigerator.
