Ein wahres Juwel in Istanbul
Pros:

Von der ersten Sekunde an hat man sich hier im Hotel Poem und bei seinen Mitarbeitern wie zu Hause gefühlt. Ein wunderschönes und liebvoll gestaltetes kleines Hotel in einer Seitenstrasse unweit der historischen Altsadt (zur Blauen Moschee etc. waren es nicht einmal 7 Minuten zu Fuß). Man wurde mit Tee und Keksen begrüßt, Tipps für die Umgebung inkl. und uns erwartete ein wunderschönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Bosporus. Und dann kam ja noch das Frühstück. Was soll man sagen, außer dass das einmalig und absolut fantastisch war. Mit so viel Liebe wurde es zubereitet: vor uns standen etwa 15 kleine Schälchen mit allerlei Spezialitäten, wo eine leckerer war als die nächste. Und dazu konnte man noch Ei nach Wahl bestellen. Hier wird alles für den Gast getan und das ist unglaublich mit welch einer Passion und Hingabe. Fantastisch!

Loved this hotel. Would happily stay again. Best customer service and best breakfasts ever.
Pros:

Great hotel near old town. Walking distance to everything. Close to restaurants and Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia etc. Front desk staff is super helpful and went above and beyond to help us book tours and taxis etc. Breakfast was amazing-definitely the best breakfast we had during our stay throughout Turkey. Would stay there again.

Cons:

Because it is in the old town-you hear a lot of hustle and bustle. But was much quieter than Galata. Beds were a little on the soft side, but still pretty firm.

Espectacular
Pros:

Destacamos la atención de todo el personal del hotel, desde la recepción, la señora de la limpieza y el personal de la cocina. Todos fueron bastante atentos y siempre dispuestos a hacer de nuestra estadía una experiencia única e inolvidable.

Por otro lado, el hotel ofrece los desayunos mas ricos de todo estambul, frescos, variados y deliciosos, nos encantaron.

Finalmente, la ubicación es perfecta, estàs a 9 min caminando de las principales mezquitas y del centro.

El hotel ademàs siempre està muy limpio y huele delicioso.

Volveremos sin duda y extrañamos al gatico "Dubruk".

Wonderful Hotel
Pros:

Such a great hotel. From the minute we stepped in the door the staff were fantastic. So helpful and accomodating. The rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was a feast. It was central to everything. Our stay was exceptional.

Pros:

Helpfulness and friendliness of hotel staff was exceptional. Location was near to main attractions but in a quiet street. Breakfast was a joy each morning. Room was very clean and comfortable. All in all it was one of the best hotels we have had the pleasure to stay in.

Pros:

Wir hatten mit unserem Zimmer ein kleines Problem nachts, da es etwas laut von draußen war. Auf Nachfrage beim Hotel, ob sie wissen, woher dieser Lärm kommt, gaben sie an, dass der Lärm durch die nahegelegene Bäckerei verursacht wird.
Das Personal war sehr bemüht und organisierte uns umgehend ein neues Zimmer.

Frühstück zudem Top, Personal sehr nett, Lage optimal,WLAN funktioniert gut.

Nice Hotel with a great breakfast (but disappointed by being scammed by a ticket official)
Pros:

They served an "Exotic" breakfast with a wide range of Turkish food in small individual dishes. A great spread, but far too much to eat
- friendly and helpful front of house staff
- Well located hotel within easy walking distance of many attractions, including the main market
- comfortable room (for an additional fee the manager allowed us to check out at 9pm in the evening as our flight only left at 1am)

Cons:

Being constantly harassed by restaurant and market stall owners for our "custom". Detracted from the Istanbul experience
- being "scammed" by an "official" ticket seller (to the Hagia Sophia) and charged for 4 tickets instead of 2. Unfortunately I only checked the visa debit that evening (I.e ticket prices are quoted in euro, but charged in lira. The ticket official distracted me upon payment so i didn't check the payment slip immediately ......the ticket official then sells the other two tickets to the next "cash" paying customer and pockets the money ... easy scam!). We later complained to the Turkish tourist board and emailed them all the evidence of the scam, but they never responded .

Pros:

Séjour en famille parfait à l'hotel Poem. Situation de l'hotel idéal, à deux pas des sites principaux et des moyens de transport. L'hotel est charmant, soigné et propre. Le point fort de l'hotel est clairement l'attention porté au petit dejeuner, exceptionnel, servi à table, selon la tradition turque, tout était délicieux chaque jour! Le personnel de l'hôtel est remarquable par sa gentillesse, ses attentions et sa bienveillance.

Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was bright and clean, not too small, cleaning was offered every day. Breakfast was served Turkish-style, with lots of small plates and eggs to choose from - very tasty. The location was convenient for us as well, we had all kinds of public transport nearby. The hosts were very nice and helped us arrange a transfer upon arrival. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel!

Best Hotel in Istanbul 

Pros:

This was our second visit to Istanbul and our second stay at the Hotel Poem. We came back to the Hotel Poem for a good reason. The location in the old city is excellent, within easy walking distance of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia and the Tram stops. But the real reason we love the Hotel Poem so much is the staff. They have always been extremely friendly, very helpful with advise and answering questions, and taking care of any of our needs. We love the warm welcome we get every time we walk through the door. Eren is a true gem. The room was excellent with plenty of space. The bathroom was big and very modern. Also, the traditional Turkish breakfast was outstanding with a great variety of selections and more than enough to eat. We would highly recommend the Hotel Poem for a stay in Istanbul. It’s simply the best and you won’t be disappointed! We can’t wait to return!

Amazing view from the Hemmingway room, super tasty and high quality breakfast, clean and friendly
Pros:

- Wonderful view of the bosporus from the Hemingway room
- Quality of the breakfast, attentiveness of the kitchen staff
- Location, its super close to all the main touristic sights
- Cleanliness of the hotel, its super clean

Overall very nice

Cons:

Small things:
- The bathroom door was a bit annoying and would often not close or get stuck.
- We really enjoyed the amazing breakfast but would have loved to see some more meat instead of the same two single slices of sausages each day.
- Breakfast stats at 8, most tours for example at Topkapi start at 9, this is very tight and breakfast shoud start at 7 at least.
- We had a great balcony but it would have been even more better if there was an option to consume the breakfast on it!
- The main street leading up to the hotel has lots of restaurants with annyoing people who constantly harass you to come in for their insanely overpriced food.
