First of all, the position is as good as it gets in Barcelona. Being positioned at the intersection of Laietana (more or less) and Corts, it is a walking distance from Passeig de Gracia and its attractions, Sagrada Familia, La Rambla, Arc de Triomf and Barcelonetta, the furthest being at most a 30 min walk. Second, the staff are super friendly and kind. When I was down with a severe stomach ache from a dinner I had eaten the night before in the city, they were quick to help and offered any sort of assistance I needed. And third, the rooms are quite expansive and offer comfort in that regard. Oh, and the breakfast was nice too
The hotel is definitely in need of some renovation. It is very clean, but obviously dated, and looks kinda stuck in mid 2000s. Torn curtains, slightly deformed wooden elements all over the room, analog AC system, there is space for improvement which would fully justify the price and the 4 stars. Despite that, I was satisfied, however I hope that some refurbishment is done, as the hotel is easily a 5 star potential
