Nice and clean with great facilities comfortable too.
Good location near airport, Doctor Cave beach, and some restaurants.
Maid service did a great job cleaning each day.
Jamaican rum punch alcoholic drinks were only $6 USD (in late March 2026) which we found to be a good price.

Room had been renovated and grounds were generally kept up which was nice.
* Biggest complaint, which set the tone negatively for the entire four-night stay, was the rude staff upon check-in. Did not get names but two Jamaican women were very insolent and rude for absolutely no reason. They gave an extremely obvious haughty attitude toward us out of the blue with no provocation. I had read online that this was a fairly common Jamaican thing in, ironically, service industries especially with women but very disappointing to see it immediately upon arrival from the airport and checking into Toby's Resort. It soured our whole stay. It wasn't just a one-off as a few days into our stay we went to the lobby to ask a few general questions and again were met with a haughty, insolent, and rude attitude from the female desk clerk.
* We did not like that the "Waterfall Pool" had no waterfall. It was not working and was an ugly eyesore. Fix it or change the name maybe?
* Booking.com says airport shuttle is included but it is not. We were told this quite rudely and aggressively by a desk clerk.
* The food in the Toby's restaurant was good (not great) but we found it expensive for what it was.
* The staff in general acted like they hated their jobs and couldn't be bothered by the annoying tourists. The vibe from the staff was depressing and downcast. This goes for front desk/lobby staff to parking/security guards to maids, maintenance and grounds workers, to restaurant and bar staff. The resort itself, grounds, room, and location were fine but the staff made us not want to return. We felt like we were an imposition and nuisance to them which was really unfortunate. We would not stay here again solely due to bad vibes from various staff members throughout our stay. (For comparison, we stayed at three other accommodations in Jamaica and the staffs were all very welcoming and excellent.
Location was convenient for the airport
The staff were not personable and had a attitude.
We have been coming to Toby’s for many years and love the location and excellent staff. The on site restaurant is good and there is a wonderful pool. The deluxe rooms are quite comfortable.
The price of a room has increased but what has not?
Loved the authenticity, real jamaica. Food, staff and the pool. All great. Steyed an extra night to fully discover mobay.

Mas logo, uma recepcionista nos atendeu super bem, almoçamos no restaurante próprio da acomodação e assim que o quarto ficou pronto vieram nos avisar.
O primeiro impacto com uma das recepcionistas nos desanimou, mas logo fomos super bem atendidos.
Nos hospedamos na chegada a Jamaica e nos últimos dias, achei a recepção ótima, foi melhor que quando chegamos. Localização central, mas ambiente calmo.
Pegamos um quarto superior sem frigobar, o que não achei tão conveniente.
I luv the location. The room was huge very clean with a big comfortable bed. Showers were very hot and lovely soft towels. The room was clean every day. The meals were tasty , good variety and great value for money

Very basic, but great staff and the restaurant had some of the best food in the area when compared to local restaurants, walking distance away.
Local area there isn't so much going on, restaurants were scarce and some closed down, one beach, which is lovely but you need to pay per head for entry, additional costs for loungers, umbrellas etc.
