The Montreux Jazz Festival will take place and will be during the 2 first weeks of July (exact dates to be checked on their website). During this period, in the evenings car access might be difficult and some noise is also to be expected.

We would like to inform you that the 2m2c Montreux Music & Convention Center, located near the Royal Plaza Montreux, is under reconstruction. Please note that some phases of the work may cause noise disturbance, but only during the day, excluding weekends and public holidays. We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that the Vernex Park (located between the 2m2c and the hotel) is currently occupied for this renovation work, which may alter the usual visual aspect of the park.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Perfect stay in Montreux
Pros:

Nice spacious room with big bathroom and insane view! Close to train station. Restaurant open until 11pm.

Le spa était hors service vous n’aviez pas précisé sur votre site de booking il fallait aller dans un autre autel à 15 minutes en voiture

Le directeur ma upgrade mais je suis déçue car 15 jours avant d’arriver le standard de l’hôtel ne m’a pas dit que le spa était HS.
Bref hôtel sympa mais déçue

trés bien situé mais hôtel vieillissant , et puis déception à l'arrivée le SPA est en maintenance ...même si on m'assure m'avoir envoyé un mail, que je n'ai pas eu .. c'est de toute façon apres la reservation non remboursable et on ne me propose aucune alternative pratique ..à par aller faire un spa dans un autre hôtel lon à pied ... pas tres commercial tout cela .; Ah j'oubliai le room service , pour mon infusion, je demande un petit pot de miel (ceux des petits déjeuners) on me propose une facturation à 10 francs suisses ...tres tres inelegant pour un hôtel de ce standing. après exprimé ma stuppeur , mon interlocuteur décide à titre exceptionnel de me l'offrir .. c'est trop gentil lol

Our winter stay at, The Royal Plaza was lovely.
The view from the lake side rooms is spectacular, all our blinds/shutters worked well.
You have very easy access to the lakeside walks - fantastic location.
The service in the bar was a little slow to begin with, but once you settle in and they start to pick up your body language it got better for us. The bar by the main reception never seemed to be open for us, never saw anyone behind the bar.
The spa and pool area were perfect for us and our five yo son, plenty of floaties to help him swim.
I agree with the other reviews, the hotel could do with a refurbishment. Not sure when it was built or had the last refurb but it was a while ago!
Saying that, when it was done, the fixtures and fittings installed were of very high quality to have lasted in a reasonably good state.
I would recommend staying if you get a good deal, there are some major works happening next door at the Music convention centre but the site was closed for the holidays during our stay.

Lovely location, friendly staff but disappointed with the spa.
Pros:

We had a lakeside room overlooking a building site, which to be fair we’d been warned about. It was a good sized room and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful.

Cons:

We didn’t know that the spa would be closed for the second half of our stay. This had been a big attraction for us and we were very disappointed - particularly as we’d presumably paid for it. (No refund or compensation was offered.) We were offered the use of the spa at their sister hotel but this was 2km away - hardly conducive to our nipping down in our complimentary bathrobes and slippers for a relaxing dip before dinner.
