I wish there was more variety for breakfast

The location
The older guy attending the front desk was not courteous to other guests.
Room was freshly clean good location not far from boardwalk
No toilet paper in bathroom no towels breakfast consist of toast bananas and cereal horrible also upon arrival Indian guy at desk was rude all because I couldn’t understand what he was saying obviously
Wasn’t sure what it’d be like from photos but seemed many in a similar price range in Santa Cruz and this seemed the best. Was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was a nice little addition to start the day off with waffles yoghurts coffee etc. had what you needed. Lovely guy checked us in - really friendly. Other staff seemed quite quiet not as chatty. Room was checked everyday from cleaning staff with fresh towels and beds maid which we didn’t expect. A nice touch! Parking was great - lots of workers around but could always get a space and nice to not have to pay extra which seems rare in California
The bathroom wasn’t great - quite outdated and had a bad smell but was fine for a few days

That we couldnt cancel with front desk receptionist I had to contact booking it was a hassle our family was at another hotel and we wanted to be together
Clean and parking close we dont have to walk to far
The pool was too cold, my kids just played a little bit. The pilow case smell like bleach.
Very clean room, the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were handy. Decent breakfast
loud landscaping crew hanging out and drinking in the parking lot on and near stairs to get to our room until about 9pm.
The parking lot was small and hard to get out of and i got charged twice for one night

Refrigerator not clean, and I saw a spider we had to kill
Few selection on breakfast. I've stayed at other Best Western that has more to offer. I guess it varies by location.
Lack of options for dining nearby.
Hotel has garbage pick up at 5 a.m. with lots of banging noises.
The staff is very nice however, it made it somewhat pleasant ...
