Pros:

The staff were kind and the breakfast was fine. The proximity to the train station and the town centre was convenient, while being away from a lot of noise.

Cons:

The room was slightly grim. Some light touch ups could go a long way. Aircon should be installed. The hallway was very hot and clammy.

Good location and comfy bed
Pros:

Comfy bed, location

Cons:

My bedroom window was broken and wouldnt close, I did report it and they offered another room but the other room seemed smaller so I just kept the window on safety lock. There was also constant banging doors outside and sometimes early in the morning and no fridge to keep drinks etc cool

Budget friendly hotel close to the train station
Pros:

The hotel is in a great location, around an 8-minute walk from Derby train station and within easy reach of the city centre. We stayed during Download Festival, and it was a convenient and affordable base. The bed was comfortable, and overall we felt it offered good value for money given the price and location.

Cons:

The room was quite dated and on the small side. It also wasn’t as clean as we would have expected, and the décor could definitely do with some updating. While it was perfectly adequate for a short stay, those looking for a more modern or polished hotel may be disappointed.
