The fact that I came in very late, then got charged a parking ticket because I didnt see the sign outside and the staff member didnt tell me that I had to put my reg into the machine. I wrote my reg down on the paper they gave me but apparently that wasnt good enough.. its not their duty to tell anyone about the reg machine apparently. They charged me 60 quid for parking in the car park and I then found out through the manager that they are affiliated with the parking company. Terrible customer service. They wouldnt waiver my fine. Ive been coming to the hotel for years before the local download festival and quite frankly the arrogance of the lady I spoke to on the phone was nothing short of disrespectful.

Faulty towers.
Pros:

The part when I left.

Cons:

The restaurant and bar. The lack of food, closed early, was told I had to eat quickly as they were packing away. 8.30pm. Sprayed with cleaner as I was eating when they were cleaning up around myself.

I had the worst sleep ever in a hotel room

There was no real welcome from the staff. I didn't find the reception staff to be warm

The bedrooms are very dated. It looked like the ground floor rooms had been refurbished but the room i was in had'nt been. Not even the t.v worked because there was no wifi in my room.

Building and surroundings look lovely but for comfort, cleanliness and sleep quality, its a no.
Cons:

Arrived late due to travelling, staying for 3 nights, in the light of day, room had large cobwebs around room. Upon returning from meetings, found room did not have clean cups or teabags refreshed. Had to go ask for a clean cup and for it to be replenished the next morning, was told it was on the information leaflet you have to specifically tell them if you want the room to be serviced (ie they auto opt out of providing the service) which is one line on an A4 information sheet shoved at me with the key on arrival - so not likely I was going to have read that at 11pm when I arrived. The next day, I did have clean cups, but the petty nature of the staff meant that they left the dirty mug I had asked for and used the previous night on the tea tray.
Also, the part of the building I was in, was very old, the floorboards were very creaky and noise from others in the building moving around, doors banging, it was not enjoyable. I did raise the noise issue after the first night but they just said that after my second night the people above will be gone so hopefully it wont be too bad then.

Cons:

Shocking! Coffee or TV didn't work. The room was like a sauna and you could not the windows. There was a jewish men only in the hotel and at 3am in the morning they are out side my window doing worrying religious chanting. The Bar closed at 9pm also we they said it not worth them staying open.

Pros:

Spa lovely setting nice to sit out in the sun and enjoyed the walk of the grounds and down to the shops

Pitty the rooms don't get checked and to see if u need clean towels ect
