Location
Historical building
Poorly trained staff
Bar staff especially
Ridiculous rules re eating times and vouchers required very expensive
No Bar snacks
Bar closes 10 pm
House keeping staff entered all 3 rooms between 7.30 and 9 am
We were all rudely awakened
Reception staff unprofessional
Tired and dated rooms
Bathrooms not clean
All staff gave impression that they did not want to be there especially the very young inexperienced Bar staff who did not know what several drinks were.
This hotel is trading soley on the beautiful location and historic building.
Since becoming part of a large conglomerate of hotel chains 'elite hotels '
It has become very disappointing indeed.
Expensive and trading on its former glory. Not worth it .stay in a b and b in market bosworth
Even though there was a wedding on. You couldn't actually hear it. X
The property is stunning
The grounds especially are amazing
Quite a long way from reception to the room with all our bags etc , but it is a large hotel
Nothing. It was old fashioned, dirty and smelt of damp.
Everything
The location js beautiful and the out door walking area is simply stunning
We’ve stayed here quite a few times, once or twice had a not so happy stay. But this time was perfect. Room was great, staff couldn’t do more and food was probably the best we’d had there.
I really can’t think of anything bad to say. Only minus was the weather lol.
That it had no internet in the rooms and couldn’t watch Netflix or YouTube
The grounds are beautiful! The hotel is beautiful! The front room from the car park blew myself and partner away! Very old school and can feel a lot of history within the walls! Spa was lovely! And all of the staff were helpful and kind!
The bar menu. Although we understood the main restaurant had to close. The food was nice, just not a massive amount of variation of types of food
Hotel was lovely and clean and staff were very welcoming and friendly
The room was very small and cramped. The bathroom was dull, small and the bath actually felt like it was going to fold in. The fan was stuck on one spot and didn’t turn to circulate and was broken at the bottom so hard to keep it standing up properly. One of the doors was missing from the wardrobe and when you tried to move the one that was there it felt like it was going to fall out. There was holes in the walls and to make a cup of tea you had to keep bending down which was awkward in such a small setting
The external environment was absolutely incredible. Green and very cleans the locals were friendly and were open for conversation.
The hotel itself was a beautifully well kept and maintained treasure. Lots of historical pairings and artefacts to gaze upon. However, the building is poorly staffed and the staff are quitte Curt and unfriendly, especially in the spa area. I greeted both of them and they did not even answer.
A few of the essential facilities in the spa did not work either.
I think it’s always a pleasant stay and it’s Good value for money
Could do with modernising a little but not too much as it needs to have that old fashioned feel
The room was lovely. The outdoor areas and gardens were nice. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy an evening drink.
The lack of plugs in the room was an issue. Only 3 plugs, all behind the fridge. One each for the coffee machine, TV and fridge. So we had to unplug something to charge our phones, and to dry your hair. Not ideal!
Standard buffet breakfast quite acceptable.
The evening meal was not wonderful. A 3 course menu, but again buffet style. Our first night, to go with your meat/pie choice they only had mashed potato, the veg was sprouts, green beans and carrots all mixed in together! The second night I decided on the beer battered fish, I had to wait 20 minutes after they opened the buffet for the fish to be bought out. The deserts were fine, but seeing a young girl sticking her fingers into the strawberry cheesecake really put us off. I do think there should be a staff member watching over a buffet at all times.
Liked everything about bosworth Hall
Nothing
The setting, the public areas, linen etc all clean and fresh
Swimming pool changing rooms were grubby and had very worn accessories
Amazing location, staff and food
The rooms need air con, more plug sockets and better WiFi
The heat in the rooms was unbearable on hotter days
We only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay.
Bathroom, a little outdated. Shower did not work and bathtap kept dripping.
