Posh surroundings, budget evening meal
Pros:

Lovely venue and location.
Nice to have a tassimo machine but only coffee provided
Good shower
Breakfast was great

Cons:

Room - Not enough plug sockets, only one pillow each, Dining - not all the drinks on the menu available, soup labelled incorrectly, desserts not labelled. Strange that you have to walk to the bar to get a drink during evening meal.

Stunning property with beautiful rooms and amazing staff
Pros:

Beautiful property set in gorgeous grounds, friendly staff and in a lovely part of Leicestershire

Cons:

The bar was only open a short time in the evening which was a shame as I tended to have late finishes

Very enjoyable, great value for money, however we declined the breakfast offer, too expensive.
Pros:

Fantastic location and ambiance. Far grander than expected.

Cons:

The room was long hike, it was a bit tired especially the bathroom. Quite a bit of noise from the Spa, and the corridor.

Got off to a bad start but overall an enjoyable stay
Pros:

It is a nice hotel in an impressive hall and our room although a little small had nice furniture and there was nice carpet down the hallways with lovely seating areas inside and out. We love the grounds and the leisure club where you can enjoy a drink by the pool even if you dont want to use the facilities. There was an outstanding member of staff called Tye. She needs congratulating on her level of customer service. She was here there and everywhere, working so hard in the bar and the restaurant and always so welcoming, friendly and professional. A credit to the hotel.

Cons:

We were standing in front of the male receptionist for quite a few minutes whilst he ignored us. When he checked us in there were no smiles and no helpful comments and so not very welcoming. We asked if he could book us a taxi but he just pointed to some cards. We booked dinner with him for 6 pm and we came down at 6 pm to find that the restaurant was not going to open until 6.30! I gave feedback to the duty manager who did not seem bothered about our wasted time. He said Sundays to Thursdays they open at 6.30 due to lack of demand. He said he would tell the restaurant staff that they should have told the receptionist but surely as the duty manager he should make sure the staff know the policy. We have to think what he told us was incorrect anyway as the following night the restaurant opened at 6 and it was a Tuesday! Also the written information we were given at check in said 6pm EVERY day! When a mistake is made it should be hands up and apology. Not good to give incorrect excuses or have unclear policy whichever it was. There was only 1 pillow each in the room and the bath plug was broken. These are the things that prevented a 10 score so I hope they learn from it as it is a shame.

I left my details regarding my stay at your hotel ,
I have never been so disappointed.
We travel all over the country to show jump our horses . We booked your hotel in hopes to get some rest after a long day jumping and traveling .
It was also my daughter’s 16 at birthday today .
We arrived around 5/6 pm yesterday after a busy day . First instance friendly staff at reception, we paid for room £99 and added on additional breakfast £25 for 1 adult , 1 teen and 2 child . The room absolutely stunk a gagging smell so I sprayed about and dealt with it . Then the music came from the room above extremely loud , banging singing , it got to 11pm and still loud . I went in the corridor to see where it was coming from to realise it was above us but I got a very strong odour of cannabis also . I rang reception at 11.30 pm asked about the noise my daughter had an important competition today and we needed sleep , he said he would deal with it but nothing got sorted . The music continued and the banging till around 2 am ! Our whole day was ruined as we was all exhausted, we was up at 6 am went for breakfast. The breakfast was also disappointing to say the least , orange juice tastes like it had cleaning products in it , only things edible was the toast and fruit . It had to be one of our worst stays yet and I have been in various accommodations . I opted not to use the spa after the experience we had . I mentioned on leaving and was advised I would be contacted to rectify but I have not yet received a call .

A very pleasant experience.
Pros:

The location is very picturesque and the park nearby is lovely to run and walk round. Lots of plants and bird life to see.
The gym and spa facilities were good and very accessible. Friendly staff in both hotel and spa. The breakfast was delicious and there was a variety of foods to choose from.

Cons:

In some of the rooms you can hear people taking a shower or using the toilets which can be disturbing.

Would have loved a warm welcome.
Pros:

The hotel looked stunning as we drove up to it.
No children running around.
Lovely sized bedroom.

Cons:

Sadly the gentle on reception was not welcoming at all.
