Was good but the room service was terrible
Very good experience. Clean and nice traditional place. Helpful staff.
Clean room, pool excellent.
Our original room was quite small and tired looking and the bathroom wasn't in a great condition. Thankfully we were moved and the 2nd room was lovely.
Very picturesque and nice pool very easy acess
Rooms a little noisy
Room ok, but could do with a good upgrade. Ok for one night.
Easy check in. Room had nice period features, comfortable beds, good sized room
Spa facilities good
We 3 nights away and wanted somewhere with a pool and breakfast. This place looked nice and at £92 a night seemed fairly cheap. The pool was an extra £5pp per day and it was in the T&Cs of the booking (Nobody reads the T&Cs), we just felt as if we were being ripped off. The problem with having a cheap price point was that it attracts some of the wrong kind of people and there were two lads sat in the second reception area (below the snooker table (that was ripped and had no rests)), who put the TV on too loud, sat with no shirts on and smoking in the doorway. The manager and staff member who dealt with me when I was complaining about the charge for the pool were not rude, but not helpful or polite. The breakfast was OK. The food on our arrival night was expensive and the portions were small and quality was OK. We stayed during the heatwave and their was no aircon and despite the room having a fan and we took our own, but the room was just too hot all night. The surrounding area was picturesque, but lacked amenities. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again.
Bit noisy - was disturbed a few times in the night.
Room was a bit basic (plastic cups rather than glasses, no mini fridge, cheap toiletries, no complementary water or biscuits), old shower
Visit to the pool/spa facilities was not included in the cost of the room (£5 extra per person) and facilities were switched off long before the advertised closing times.
Food only served until 8:30pm and dining options tailored more for local visitors it seems rather than hotel guests.
Beautiful well maintained property
Large rambling hotel that could be a gold mine but was quite frankly disappointing. Wasn’t allowed to eat in the restaurant as they had run out of food. Only bar menu available on which every meal had chips. The small double room was made smaller by the large domestic fridge and microwave. Shower was good. Lights on outside all night made for a difficult nights sleep especially as the curtains didn’t seem to fit the windows very well.
Hotel in need of modernisation - uncomfortable bed. Was more expensive
Terrible check in - 20min wait. Unwelcoming host.
Tired hotel. Lack of facilities. Poor very unrelaxing. Food was not great.
Rooms were dated.
Bathroom was small and poorly finished. Shower over bath but useless if your over 5ft8.
Manager Emma was brilliant and helpful. Sorted out dietary requirements.
2nd stay here, this time tried an lux room in hope it was better, however this was also Disappointing, for a lux room there was really no reason for this title other than the room size, nothing additional in the room
poorly maintained and not kept up to the standard it once was, we waited 5 hours for requested extra pillow, in the end collect them our selves from reception
rusting fittings and very old and none functional taps for the shower, took two mens hands to turn off
that said the SPA and Gym are lovely and the only reason we tried it again
next visit we have been promised a suite so well see what thats like
Very nice staff from reception to catering to cleaning and housekeeping all 1st class lovely building which will be difficult to maintain at 100% but app in all very happy all round
Beautiful surroundings and setting. Room facilities could be better ie. A socket for the coffee maker and kettle was an extension lead on the floor it didn't reach the tea and coffee making station. The bathroom fan didn't work and only one pillow per guest in the room. No toilet brush and nowhere to hang wet towels. Bedside lights could only be operated from oneside of the bed so no light available to get to the bathroom in the night. The restaurant was described as a carvery however it was a help yourself to various hot dishes which weren't labelled. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of hot and cold items.
I have disability problems and I always write in the comments to please be put near the amenities dining room/bar etc but end up down 1 flight of stairs that a lift can't reach and the very furthest room from the main amenities..very disappointed that they don't read comments ..this has happened more than once.
Nice area in the countryside
I paid £65 for a double room that was just big enough to be called double, the bed was very basic and quite hard so I wouldn’t like to pay more than that but the staff are lovely the facilities are good and if they upgraded the beds it would’ve been a good stay!
Room was good for the price.
10 minute walk into the lovely village of Market Bosworth, although there is an even quicker way via the church.
£5 per day to use the spa and gym, good value.
Booked a table in the restaurant for 7.30pm on Sunday evening. Assumed it was in Cromptons restaurant. Got there at 7.20pm, it was all locked up. Walked round to Jennys, they were expecting us, we were told that we could sit at any table for 2. Hadn't realised/been informed this would be buffet service. Lots of food no longer available despite us having booked. Partner complained to reception. A young man came and took photos of the servery. The meal was disappointing.
