True 5 star experience for family travel!
Pros:

Stayed at Grand Hyatt Tokyo for family travel to Tokyo with a baby. Highly recommend this place for great balance of luxury comfortable stay with family/baby friendly amenities and ambiance. Breakfast was one of the best I had in Tokyo with staffs taking a great care for the baby. Roppongi Hills area is very stroller friendly and easy access to intl' premium shopping + local shops nkt to mention great offering of F&B options. Prices can ne slightly higher but you get what you pay for.

Reservation cancelled without notice — Globalist status meant nothing
Pros:

I had a confirmed booking at Grand Hyatt Tokyo that the hotel cancelled without any prior notice. When I followed up, I was told I could rebook — at a significantly higher rate than my original reservation.

I am a Hyatt Globalist, which is supposed to count for something in terms of recognition and service. In this case, it counted for nothing. No proactive communication, no goodwill gesture, no honouring of the original rate. Just a unilateral cancellation and an invitation to pay more.

If a property is willing to do this to a top-tier loyalty member, think carefully before booking here — particularly on non-refundable rates or for trips where you actually need the room secured.

立地が良かった。部屋が良かった。朝食が美味しいかった。

Cons:

フロントの雰囲気が少し暗く華やかさに欠ける。朝食はバイキングでコーヒーはオーダーなのがイマイチ。コーヒーも自分で取りに行くのが良いかなと。オーダーしたいのにスタッフを探して声かけるのがストレスだった！

Not family friendly
Pros:

We (my 4 year old daughter and I) arrived at the Gran Hyatt in Tokyo after a long overseas flight for a 10 night stay on a very rainy day. At check-in I was told that our room was not ready and there was no other place to wait, as the club bar is only for club guests. After asking, I was told that we could have a shower at the SPA. They also “allowed” us to use the pool before check-in. However, after entering the pool we discovered that we could not shower as the shower area is for people above 16 years old only. Now we have wet hairs and are smelling of chloride and have to wait at a cafe nearby.
Terrible choice of hotel for families with kids.

Beautiful location and fabulous hotel
Pros:

Wonderful location and fabulous food and staff. I stay here often and it never disappoints. The Executive Lounge is very nice. The rooms are updated and very comfortable.

A Hotel Worth Visiting & Staying in Tokyo
Pros:

A very good hotel close to shopping, all modes of transportation, sightseeing food, etc. etc. The quality of the hotel is of very high standard and the staff are very professional and excellent in their dealings. The cleanliness is of world class standard required for a luxury hotel. All the department starting from Concierge, Bell Boys, Reception Staff, Restaurant, Housekeeping etc are of highly trained professionals.
