Very clean
Inside the lodge was beautiful and seem to be newly renovated! The grounds need some TLC. Upon entering we noticed the curb around the front of the lodge was crubling away...The pool and area around need some serious help. The bottom of the pool and hot tubs were rough, and gross. The area around the pool had broken concrete everywhere. The bed was very uncomfortable- very hard and springy. Overall, it was clean but not worth the price we paid.
Beds were clean and comfy
Room was comfortable. Common areas and restaurants are dated and carpet is dirty. Service was excellent.
They placed us in the Inn, it was old and outdated. Room size was awesome, but the toilet was rust stained and the tub had permanent stains on it. The toilet ran also. The first floor had a nice door to walk out side. BUT the people on the second floor above us must have had herds of elephants running around. So loud! Golf was beautiful!
Very pretty area. Variety of dining options. Room was spacious and pools were lovely.
Everything was great except Expedia put us down for only one night when I requested two nights. Treetops was most accommodating and arranged for the second night without any problems.
It was a destination stay for our granddaughter's 6th birthday and her siblings. The facilities were kid friendly - indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub and a game room. And with the clientele being golfers, they had the space to themselves. The facilities were clean but there were a few things we noticed that could use a little TLC.
The walls were very thin and we could hear a lot of banging upstairs, also could hear someone snoring all night.
There was a card by the phone saying someone would replace towels and remake beds over our 3 night stay. We got extra towels and our beds were never remade.
There was a very bad water leak with a large area of soaked carpet in front of the ice machine and it was not fixed for 2 days after we arrived.
There was no breakfast included.
The sidewalk at the entrance had a huge and dangerous hoke in it, just waiting for someone to twist an ankle or trip.
There was no mirror in the room except bathroom and no microwave in the room. For what we paid, it was not worth the money.
We reserved a remodeled room requested top floor not over the pool. Reservation was switched without notification to a dirty old room over the pool & they refused to relocate us to room initially reserved. Room was disgusting, musty not in the Lodge but at The Inn. They claimed they ‘upgraded us’-flew from Fla, package prepaid so we were stuck. Saving grace were the great golf courses. Never will we recommend this resort!
Our family had so much fun at Sylvan Daze! Everyone helping with rentals was so friendly and I especially like that they strap your boots for you. We are glad we got there before 10 as the line was so long around 11-12. The lift operators were all friendly, especially Kaeden. He was so positive throughout the whole day singing, dancing, and even playing rock paper scissors with our son. Overall we were very impressed and had a wonderful time. Our son even did the slush cup and had a blast! The next day we went extreme tubing and that was great as well. Allen explained everything in detail. We will definitely be back!
in need of updating
Very happy with the cleanliness of our room and the available amenities!
Nice Family Ski Trip. Best part was the outdoor hot tub after a day of skiing. Was a little disappointed with the hours that they close during the week at 4pm but still had a great time.
We had an amazing stay at Treetops Resort! Jim our shuttle driver was super helpful. We didn't know the shuttle service had ended for the night, he was kind enough to still bring us back to the Inn. Thank you Jim! Also, HUGE thank you to Brett the bartender at Legends! He stayed open for an extra hour for our group! He had some wait staff on also! Thank you Brett, Krysten and 2 other very nice wait staff!
I wish I were allowed more characters to share what was a horrible stay at Treetops this last weekend.
I felt as if we were staying in a scary motel when we were in our room. We paid more than $2100 for this 4-day trip and were looking forward to a relaxing and fun time up-north. We also assumed that for the money spent, we would have a clean room, clean facilities, adequate housekeeping and daily clean towels at a minimum.
Problems included: Corroded surfaces in both pools, Expired EGLE license, Women’s shower stall had broken/pushed in tile in coving strip & dirty shower pan, Loose wire on sink attachment, not properly attached, No soap in dispenser, Corroded grab bars, towel dispenser, Corroded metal door plates, handles, stall supports, door damaged, Ceiling peeling/falling into the pool, Paint in pool peeling - steps & bottom, Air vents caked with dust
Corroding metal pieces on pool, hot tub & wooden boxes, Cracked tiles on floor near drains, Dirty drains & pool deck
Stains around water perimeter in hot tub and on seats near hot tub wall, Broken stucco on wall near hot tub
The room: Filthy and unrestretched carpeting, Smears on wall above bed, Lampshade on desk table broken & sharp, All room lamps and lampshades are out of square and cannot be adjusted
Missing finishing rings on sprinkler heads in shower room and sink area, Scraped and marked dresser top, Stained and dirty desk chair seat, Dirty sofa & loveseat arms, Stain/discolored spots on couch & loveseat cushions, Cracked Formica on kitchenette edges, Cracked floor tile,Broken window curtain - missing eyelets to hang correctly, leaky window,Coffee table leg crooked and had to be tightened by guest, Bathroom door scuffed and dirty, Mold in shower near glass
Activities:Broken binding on snowshoe (reported when turned in). I ended up tying it on to use since we were already at the trail rather than driving back to exchange it., a ski instructor caused a young girl (Nora probably age 6) to cry and left her slumped down at the fence, We wanted to cross country ski but no communication about renting skis was provided and wasn’t included in our package despite requesting information on skiing when I made the reservation.
Poor communication through the registration process, Confirmation email doesn’t itemize what is included, Separate email confirmations for each activity is excessive and detracts from the purpose of a relaxing vacation, Wrong times scheduled for activities, Had to ask for a summary of activities which is a better overall guide to the stay, communications/print materials were too vague; for example “meet at the bottom of the ski hill”, Lodge staff were unaware of how to get to ice skating and whether there was seating/skating assistance equipment. No map was provided at check in 2/19 so we were unaware that there was another pool (at the Inn), outdoor hot tub or ice skating.
Food & Beverage: Food quality was disappointing with many over-processed meals and there were few vegetarian and no vegan offerings, Breakfast buffet had fewer offerings than typical chain hotel free breakfasts., On our last night the Legends restaurant reported that our entree dinner vouchers would only cover half of the steak dinners (after we had been served and dined). When I asked the waitress to check as we had been having such a difficult stay she went out of her way to make it right., We wanted to order pizza Friday night which was on the Legends menu, but were informed that it was only served in the Sports Bar on the weekends so even after being seated and served beverages we had to go back outside and go to the Sport Bar to order pizza
Ordinary breakfast beverages were Al a carte rather than included in the breakfast voucher (milk/juice), Being charged for milk to go with tea seems a cheap way to save money and implies that margins are too thin
I wish I could upload all the images of the damage, disrepair, and unhygienic conditions that my family experienced at Treetops, but there isn't enough room either in my review or in the attachments to include everything...
6 Adults went Extreme Tubing and we LOVED it! So much fun. I had been once before and really love the second run that they have added and is now included. We probably got 6 rides down during our hour reservation and it was the perfect amount. Great job Treetops!
Eric in the ski rental area was awesome. Helped get me and the kids get situated with equipment, hassle free! In and out with out any stress. Easy to deal with. Helpful in every aspect when it came to the resort and what to do while we were there this past weekend. Thanks!
I have never written a review in my life, but this was too disappointing not to write about.
We booked two nights to support our Sons' sports competition. We checked in with one of my Sons. The next day, I found out my two other Sons would need a place to stay. I spoke to reservations and then your front desk (Amber), and all she could say was NO.
Can we move to a bigger room to accommodate my Sons?
Can we check out early without being penalized?
Can I talk to a Manager? She said no Manager was available all weekend.
Can you add us to a cancelation list? She said there was a long cancelation list.
Here is an idea - allowing us to check out early and give the room to someone on that waiting list would have provided a positive customer experience for everyone involved, but the answer was also NO.
Extremely disappointed all the way around
