Overall we had a good stay at this hotel.
Pros:

Staff very friendly throughout the hotel. Great to get pool towels and nice bar and restaurant at pool. Breakfast was great with a great variety to choose from.

Cons:

There is a steep hill to hotel entrance. We had to make our way down with two 20kg bags as there was no driver to come up and collect them. Our private transfer wouldn’t come down to collect our bags when leaving but luckily very nice receptionist got them brought to the top 😊. Not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties.

Great stay and location is key, but hotels needs improvement
Pros:

Hotel is located in the great area of Taormina. Walkable to every attraction on the Main Street. Great location!

Cons:

Property needs to be updated. Entrance should have clean carpet and a trolley bringing gas up and down the hill.

The amenities were OK the worst part about it is the pool although it overlooks a beautiful sea. The pool itself was a little disappointing. There was a loud pumping noise by the pool that was very annoying. Wow you're trying to relax. We told the staff, but they said there was nothing they could do about it.

Odd location that is hard to get to in vehicles, facilities are in dire need of update, charged for full breakfast when we only had coffee (menu had coffee al a carte but they didn’t know how to charge it), and areas could be cleaner (ants in rooms, public facilities dirty, etc.).

Very fresh and tasty breakfast. View was beautiful way to start the day.

Cons:

Two items…A/C not working in our room. A fan was delivered. Bathroom-outdated. And no protection from shower water get all over the bathroom floor. YUCK!

Wonderful stay at Mounte Tauro!
Pros:

This hotel is prime location in Taormina and the views are breathtaking! Literally minutes away from all the restaurants, main scene of Taormina and right next to Villa Comunale di Taormina. The breakfast was really good, the pool was great and the entire staff, pool included, was wonderful. The guy that works at the pool bar is just a delight! On our first night they gave us a room on the first floor, and I asked if we could be moved to a higher floor. They said that there wasnt any availability that day but they would let us know for the next. Without us reaching out again, the called us first thing in the morning the next day to move us to a room on a higher floor. I thought that was top notch costumer service.

Cons:

As people have mentioned, the rooms could use a little love and a more modern touch, but other than that, considering how expensive is Taormina, specially hotels with pools, I think is a good value for the price.

Top service!
Pros:

Het ontbijt was echt heel goed en heel uitgebreid. Het personeel was echt mega aardig. Wij kwamen met een baby en iedereen vond haar helemaal geweldig. Er was extra handdoek service bij het zwembad, zonder er extra ervoor te hoeven betalen. Ook hadden wij een heel fijn en ruim balkon met zee uitzicht.

De badkamer was wat gedateerd maar wel groot en had super goede waterdruk.

Cons:

Badkamer was wat gedateerd en om te douchen moest je in een bad staan waarbij de stop onder je voeten zat, de badkuip was heel smal zelfs om te staan en rechts had je nog een aparte kraan met handdouche + beugel. Er stond een beetje te veel in zo een kleine ruimte. De druk van het water was wel echt heel goed.

PESSIMO!

Hotel che vanta di una bella vista ed una buona posizione per raggiungere il centro storico di Taormina.

E' stato rovinato l'intero soggiorno da un'attesa di 3 ore abbondanti per ricevere la macchina dal parcheggio "offerto" dall'hotel per la modica cifra di € 30 al giorno, c'è stato un disservizio totale , non sono stato neanche rimborsato e le spiegazioni che venivano fornite erano davvero ridicole e ancora oggi non si sa cosa sia successo. Ho atteso la mia macchina dalle ore 11:15 in fase di check out, fino a quando alle 14:00 dopo estenuanti, e ripetute lamentele da parte mia e di almeno altri 20 clienti bloccati come me, letteralmente in ostaggio dell'hotel, è arrivata una navetta che ci ha portato al parcheggio distante almeno 3 km e assolutamente non raggiungibile a piedi, dove ho recuperato la macchina personalmente. Tutto questo il 1 di Gennaio avendomi fatto perdere anche il pranzo prenotato.
