Here again. Truly wonderful as ever. The location of this hotel is unrivalled. She sits at the queen of the resort. The staff are truly exceptional. Everything is perfect. See you later in the year.
We had a delightful eight day stay. The hotel is gorgeous and perfectly located to enjoy the ocean and tranquility of the area while having loads of restaurants to access just a short walk away. The staff were all great, Santi and Monica especially went above and beyond. Looking forward to another stay in the future as we enjoyed ourselves so fully.
Beautiful hotel and brilliant customer service. We stayed for 8 nights at the end of March/start of April for a family holiday with 2 adults, 2 teenage children and 2 grandparents. We each had our own room (with terrace and a sun lounger) and rooms were next door. The hotel is clean, it feels recently refurbished and while the bedrooms are a little petite for us all to get together in, the communal lounges with sofa’s, terrace with sun lounger and internal pool & spa, as well as external pool and the sea on your doorstop - this hotel and location worked perfectly for our multi generational family holiday. We had 3 cyclists in our family and the location of the hotel was great for their bike rides.. The staff are wonderful - attentive and considerate; example at breakfast they remembered what we each drank (tea, coffee), and they were all very happy to help with any queries we had. We will be back 😊
This is a stunning and superior hotel/resort with the most gorgeous views, fantastic amenities, and wonderful staff! We’ve stayed in so many hotels around the world and this was a top pick. We loved the clean, aesthetic, the beautiful rooms, the comfortable beds and the fantastically powerful shower. A bonus was the indoor pool with sauna and steam room. The gorgeous and plentiful breakfast was included and well worth it. Can’t recommend this hotel enough. The staff especially Santi and the front desk were lovely, kind and helpful. Another thing we loved was the art on the walls, they have impeccable taste. Would stay here again, 100%!
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Illa d’Or in Puerto Pollensa. This was our second stay at the hotel, and we chose to come back because the location is simply the best in Puerto Pollensa — especially for a cycling holiday.
The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and always extremely helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent every morning, and La Terrassa restaurant was fantastic — honestly the best tomahawk steak we have ever had.
A special thank you to Santi and Eduardo for taking such good care of us and making our stay even more memorable. We will come back again!
Santi was very kind and helpful throughout our stay
Lovely location when you can sit in the sun overlooking the sea/sailboats with the mountains in the distance. Loved, loved the quiet large lounge off the lobby - even when there were a lot of people it is well spaced out to allow for working, reading, or exploring the large exceptional collection of art books.
Staff was friendly, ( sometimes very slow service especially outside ), rooms nicely appointed - we each had various levels of rooms and they were all fine. ) Short distance along the pine walk to town, shops and restaurants.
My interest in reviewing is to help other celiacs travel so a head's up here - although I could request a gluten free baguette/gf croissant in the morning which would arrive in a sealed bag the safety stopped there. The very first meal I had I was told by the chef doing breakfast duty when I asked about cross contamination " it's a professional kitchen so we can't avoid contamination ". Meant I tried very carefully to work my way around the buffet and when ordering dinner stressed very strongly I was celiac. I never felt relaxed eating here for that reason and ventured elsewhere for the majority of meals.
Great location, 15 minute walk to the main town and had very good food in every restaurant. Receptionist were very nice including Santi who was very helpful with our bags. There was a good atmosphere in the bar but quite quiet at night as we came in April. Room was nice and very clean.
Wonderful hotel with exceptional service
Our first visit of several planned this year and as always -everything was perfect. The staff provide the best service in all areas, nothing is ever too much trouble.
The hotel is in a prime position at the end of Pine Walk and is just a 20minute stroll to the busier part of Puerto Pollensa and the views of the bay are stunning.
A perfect break. Everything about this place works. The hotel, the staff, the location are all excellent, as one would expect, but beyond that is the atmosphere. The soundscape, the light and the overall atmosphere make Illa D’Or a very special place.
Lovely hotel with very pretty views located next to the beach along the pine walk. Very friendly staff who are always there to help with whatever you need. Santi was very helpful and friendly always greeting us when we walked by, answered any questions we had and he even helped with my proposal to my partner capturing it on video for us. Thank you Santi.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff who go out of their way to accommodate you. Lovely area by the sea. Santi was really helpful, showed us to our room and explained everything well, he was always very friendly and greeted us every time we saw him.
Staff very friendly and helpful, Santi especially. Wonderful location and views from room. Service sometimes slow on the evening meal. Hotel and room overall excellent. First time here - will return
We have had a really lovely week. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Their English speaking is excellent. The room and breakfast was really good. No complaints at all
The Illa D’Or hotel is a truly lovely hotel. The staff are fantastic, especially Sonia who made breakfast and dinner delightful.
Fantastic experience from my arrival to check out. Was welcomed by Santi who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The facilities are great, food was great and the service from everyone was fabulous. I’ve not had such a good experience for a while! The double room was a bit on the small end and for 2 people with luggage would be tight.
Was there for a bike trip and the bike storage area is fairly small and gets packed super easily.
What can I say. 2025 was our 25 visit to illa dor hotel. Every year we get called back, the staff our wonderful, some we count as friends after all these years. Food is wonderful, breakfast amazing. I know I am late in posting a review. Reluctant to in case it gets too popular.. Just booked this year at last, will be there on 31st March , can’t wait to see you all.
We first came across this hotel whilst staying at another local hotel in 2012 and going to their bar for a drink whilst our son was at the kids club. Since then, it's been our mission to stay here and we we were able to do it in 2025. It's safe to say, we weren't disappointed!
From the moment we checked in, to the moment we left, we were treated very well by the hotel staff who were, overall, very good.
Unfortunately it rained for the majority of the time we were there, but it didn't massively spoil our time, apart from the fact that we couldn't spend much time by the pool! However, there is a small indoor pool and 'Spa' type facility you can use with a steam room and sauna.
Our only small gripe with the hotel was that we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant on one evening as the storms were so bad and we couldn't get out. It was clear that the hotel restaurant couldn't really cope with the situation and as a result, our table wasn't called so we waited for over an hour to get seated. It transpired that someone else appeared to take our space and we should have been seated about half an hour before we eventually were! Once in the restaurant, the staff weren't particularly welcoming and the food was sub par in our opinion which was disappointing.
That said, whilst we were there it was my wife's birthday and the hotel were unaware of this prior to our arrival. The chambermaid must have seen the birthday cards my wife had put out and we had a note from the hotel put through our door inviting her to have a free drink, on the hotel, for her birthday! It was a really nice touch and very unexpected!
The hotel is about an hour drive north of the airport. We were able to get a 'Hoppa' bus prior to leaving the UK for about £30 each return which was really good. I think a taxi will cost about £90 each way.
Overall, a lovely hotel in a quiet spot which we definitely return to, in fact, we've booked again for this year!
Our family were warmly received at the hotel and we had the most blissful 6 days there. The food is completely delicious, the pools and tennis court fab and the building is beautifully kept and pristine white. The beds and pillows are so comfy and the views out of the windows stunning. Hotel Illa D’Or is a little slice of heaven. We can’t wait to return.
