Fantastic experience from my arrival to check out. Was welcomed by Santi who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The facilities are great, food was great and the service from everyone was fabulous. I’ve not had such a good experience for a while! The double room was a bit on the small end and for 2 people with luggage would be tight.
Was there for a bike trip and the bike storage area is fairly small and gets packed super easily.
What can I say. 2025 was our 25 visit to illa dor hotel. Every year we get called back, the staff our wonderful, some we count as friends after all these years. Food is wonderful, breakfast amazing. I know I am late in posting a review. Reluctant to in case it gets too popular.. Just booked this year at last, will be there on 31st March , can’t wait to see you all.
We first came across this hotel whilst staying at another local hotel in 2012 and going to their bar for a drink whilst our son was at the kids club. Since then, it's been our mission to stay here and we we were able to do it in 2025. It's safe to say, we weren't disappointed!
From the moment we checked in, to the moment we left, we were treated very well by the hotel staff who were, overall, very good.
Unfortunately it rained for the majority of the time we were there, but it didn't massively spoil our time, apart from the fact that we couldn't spend much time by the pool! However, there is a small indoor pool and 'Spa' type facility you can use with a steam room and sauna.
Our only small gripe with the hotel was that we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant on one evening as the storms were so bad and we couldn't get out. It was clear that the hotel restaurant couldn't really cope with the situation and as a result, our table wasn't called so we waited for over an hour to get seated. It transpired that someone else appeared to take our space and we should have been seated about half an hour before we eventually were! Once in the restaurant, the staff weren't particularly welcoming and the food was sub par in our opinion which was disappointing.
That said, whilst we were there it was my wife's birthday and the hotel were unaware of this prior to our arrival. The chambermaid must have seen the birthday cards my wife had put out and we had a note from the hotel put through our door inviting her to have a free drink, on the hotel, for her birthday! It was a really nice touch and very unexpected!
The hotel is about an hour drive north of the airport. We were able to get a 'Hoppa' bus prior to leaving the UK for about £30 each return which was really good. I think a taxi will cost about £90 each way.
Overall, a lovely hotel in a quiet spot which we definitely return to, in fact, we've booked again for this year!
Our family were warmly received at the hotel and we had the most blissful 6 days there. The food is completely delicious, the pools and tennis court fab and the building is beautifully kept and pristine white. The beds and pillows are so comfy and the views out of the windows stunning. Hotel Illa D’Or is a little slice of heaven. We can’t wait to return.
Beautiful location, first class service delivered with a smile, spotlessly clean and great food! The rooms are well designed and quiet, with effective AC.
This was our second year staying at Illa Dor, and it was just as amazing as the first time! We spent the last weekend there and everything was perfect, beautiful surroundings, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back again next year!
Lovely hotel, gorgeous views and great service especially from the manager Diego, he was really helpful and friendly.
The Hotel Illa D'or is a fantastic, peaceful, beutifully equipped hotel in a peaceful location. Staff are incredibly helpful and polite - nothing is too much trouble for them. We enjoy visiting at least once a year and are never disappointed and always look forward to being able to return. We were fortunate to have a sea view room with balcony which provided a stunning view as well as incredibly comfortable accommodation. Plenty of facilities to occupy yourself - my wife loves the pools and my son loves the tennis court. The breakfast on the terrace by the sea is a daily treat and always of an incrediobly high quality with a huge variety. The walk down to the restaurants and bars of the port is a daily joy. We couldn't recommend it any more highly.
This hotel is the most beautiful hotel in the area ! The staff and food iare amazing . We came three times this year !! Say no more . Thank you illa dor for fantastic service and making it such a special place to come to.
See you April 😊 love the room we had in October , thank you !
Love having best breakfast by the sea , can’t beat it
This was our 3rd visit to Hotel IIIa D’Or and it was fantastic, Service was impeccable and hotel spot on,thank you to all the staff , can’t wait to visit again it’s perfectly positioned in a beautiful area would definitely recommend a stay .
Wow! This place is absolutely amazing. We booked it quite last minute and stayed for only 2 nights as we were then off to visit family in Palma, but what a find. The hotel and staff are unique and the location of this hotel could not be better. We sunbathed on the lovely sun loungers at the front of the hotel beside, we swam in the sea and we ate at the delicious restaurant. We wee already looking at booking it again before we left. I think we have found our magical place! Thank you for making it so special
This is a hotel to be experienced. We have stayed there for many years and each year we meet people who have been experienced it for the first time and have all commented that they would return,
The hotel and location are simply fabulous but the staff make your holiday exceptional. They are, without doubt, the beating heart of the Illa d’Or. They care and that is what makes it so very special. Thank you again for making our holiday so special,
The best. The hotel sits as Queen of this beautiful resort. Nothing is overlooked except the bay. The service is exceptional and the food is exquisite. My room was truly stunning and every aspect is superb. I’m already booked in 3 times for 2026
A truly memorable experience for us at Hotel Illa D'Or.
We had admired the hotel on previous visits to Porta de Pollenca while walking along the pine walk.
When the chance of a last minute break came along we decided to take the opportunity and book. We're now looking forward to our next visit.
Kind attentive staff always ready to help. Lovely spacious surroundings with plenty of quiet places to relax. The room was very nice, a good size and beautifully presented.
The breakfasts were excellent with a large variety of choice.
We have been to the Illa D'or several times. It's fabulous. Can't recommend highly enough. Beautilful hotel, luxurious, wonderful location in the lovely reort of Puerto Pollensa
This is Our second time here and we are still in love with this place. The Staff, the hotel/appartments, the location and everything is just perfect.
It is an expensive hotel, but with good reason. Everything is clean and the Staff is available 24/7.
We went with our kids at four months and 3 years, and despite this isn't a children hotel we always felt welcome and taken care of with the kids. The only thing that would make everything 100% perfect is a little children's meny till dinner ( pizza, sausage, small hamburger etc), but we feel they did their best to make some plain pasta, toast and fries with carrots, so we are overall really pleased with our stay :) we will come back!
This is a stunning hotel with self catering apartments in the most beautiful location. It’s on the Pine Walk and is just charming. It has its original feel of the 1930s but with all the modern day luxuries. Having a cocktail while the sun is setting is a must! The staff are a credit to the hotel. We had an apartment which overlooks the outdoor pool. Lots of space. Complimentary coffee and coffee machine. Nice to sit and have breakfast on the balcony. Very quiet. There’s a nice indoor spa just in case you get rain. We did their boat trip which I would highly recommend. I cannot wait to come back!
Another great stay here.
The staff were, as usual, excellent right throughout the hotel. They always strive to go the extra mile and it is always with a smile.
Nice updates to the dining room and lounge since our latest visit.
Food excellent as always and good value for money too.
This hotel is ideally located at the far end of the pine walk and is much quieter than those around the centre and rates as one of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere in Europe.
Our room, on the first floor directly overlooked the jetty and was one of the few on this level which had views not obscured by trees. It had a spacious balcony with a day bed and a table and chairs which was fairly private. It did get very hot in the afternoons when we were using it though due to the sheltered aspect of the bay and the side screens preventing the cooling effect of the breeze. The room itself was big enough, had plenty of storage space, all the normal tea/coffee making facilities and mini bar and was spotlessly clean.
We stayed half board and found the 3 course (4 if you had the optional salad buffet) dinners to be varied and exceptional quality always offering plenty of choice for all tastes. There was also an extensive wine list covering all types as well as price ranges but we found the local wines of Majorca suited us.
One thing that makes this hotel stand out are the staff - everyone from receptionists to waiters/waitresses and cleaners were smartly dressed, polite and totally professional as well as always having a smile! I would like to thank every one of them.
Our only small gripe was the sunbed area which as usual had guests reserving beds in their preferred spots and not appearing for some time. We did not use this in the mornings but when we did want to find a sunbed in the afternoon all were taken. It was particularly annoying that some people were just leaving their used towels on the beds so you could not tell if they were returning or not- sheer laziness just return them to the collection bin near the swimming pool.
All in all a fantastic hotel which maintains very high standards which is borne out by the number of returning guests.
Lovely relaxing stay in a charming hotel where the staff are friendly and attentive. This was not our first visit and we shall certainly be returning.
