I booked a suite this time and this room was just marvellous. The location of the hotel is great and parking your car(s) there is super easy with the very large parking area available......

It’s a lovely looking hotel and the decor is nice. We were greeted by a lovely young man on reception who was very friendly. Our room was huge, we were in one of the cottages at the side of the hotel which was very big. The weather was glorious so we sat outside and had drinks which was lovely.
We liked the fact there was free parking and felt it was very good value for money.
We felt check in was quite late at 4pm. When we asked if we could check in early we were told there is a £10 an hour charge.
We had booked a table in the restaurant for dinner. Service was very slow, considering it wasn’t very busy and we had to ask the waiter to take our food order. The person in charge of the bar kept shouting at the young man on reception in front of everyone, which we felt was very unprofessional and a little embarrassing!
Everything went well. A good night’s sleep in a comfortable large bed in a good sized room. An excellent breakfast served by cheerful friendly staff. Very spacious rooms with a good bar for socialising & having coffee & a casual lunch. A first rate car park & well kept substantial grounds with seating etc outside. Overall first rate.

It's not like I didn't like it, because it wasn't a major issue, but the hotel would be even better if they had a small fridge in the room.
