Mooie locatie, goede kamers en goed personeel

Leuke accommodatie met prima kamers en goed personeel.

Cons:

Onze kamer was gesitueerd direct boven een feestruimte waar tot middernacht harde muziek klonk. We hadden last minute via booking geboekt en het bleek achteraf de enige kamer. Die kamer op die plek verhuren aan gasten die geen deel uitmaken van het feest in de verhuurde benedenruimte gebeurt normaliter nooit. Per ongeluk was dit nu toch gedaan. Voor ons niet fijn omdat we niet konden gaan slapen, maar de staf kon de situatie niet oplossen omdat alle kamers bezet waren. De voor de avond en nacht aanwezige staflid was zeer begripvol en heeft er alles aan gedaan ons tegemoet te komen. We kregen wat te drinken in de rustige lounge ondanks dat de bar al dicht was en daar het eind van het feestprogramma afgewacht. Dankzij het staflid hebben we achteraf ook de helft van de kamerprijs terug gekregen. Een redelijke oplossing ook al is het achteraf en dankzij die servicegerichtheid zijn we overall positief over deze accommodatie

Alles in allem war es trotzdem gut!
Pros:

Zimmer war ausreichend groß, sehr sauber.

Cons:

Lüftung im Bad sehr laut, leider keine Klima, wenigsten das Fenster hätte zur Gänze geöffnet werden können!

Room 602 was on the 3rd floor (top of the building) No air con (even after undergoing refurbishment) and we were given a fan to take with us to our room when we arrived at 8.00 pm!! Why this couldn't have been put in the room I'm not sure!!! Windows were closed on entering (during the middle of a heatwave)...and the heat was unbearable. We were unable to cool the room and managed about an hour's sleep. Getting ready the following morning was almost impossible as the sun was shining directly in the room. Mentioned it to the receptionist who said she would get us another fan which never materialized!! I have never been so uncomfortable!! 🥵

Nice place, shame the food wasn’t the best.
Pros:

Room was comfortable and clean, staff are friendly.

Cons:

Breakfast wasn’t the best, hot food was warm at best, sausages tasted off and egg was like rubber. It is a shame as that sets me up for the day.

A very comfortable stay
Pros:

Lovely hotel set in beautiful gardens. Easy parking and outside areas to sit under the trees or on the terrace under large umbrellas (it was over 30c that weekend)
The receptionist was very helpful, finding us another room on the cooler side of the hotel- and supplying a fan!
The food was well cooked and plentiful, the waiter and bar staff were polite and friendly.

Ich bin bereits mehrfach Besucher und werde es auch bleiben.
Pros:

Ich bin jetzt schon zum 4. oder 5.x im Thatchers, jedes mal im Juli um das FoS Goodwood zu besuchen. Das Frühstück ist neuerdings in Buffet-Form. Typisches "English Breakfest". Ich mag es. Heuer hatte ich ein frisch renoviertes Zimmer, alles sauber und neu, wunderbar. Ich buche jetzt schon fürs nächste Jahr.

Pros:

Staff were exceptional - friendly, polite, conscientious and hard working - but too few of them, especially at breakfast time. Only 2 staff visible both mornings who worked non stop but struggled to keep up with checking guests in and the flow of topping up food and clearing tables. Evening meal was excellent but more vegetarian/vegan options would be good.

Cons:

No aircon in the room, had to ask for a fan which was not available till the second night. First night was most uncomfortable. No functioning extractor fan in windowless bathroom. Erratic water temperature in shower. Cooked breakfast items in short supplyboth mornings and not very warm for 9.15 breakfast on first day. Vegetarian sausages supplied prompty on request though.
