I have stayed at many places in the Napa Valley and this truly is the mecca. Not only is the location amazing, but the staff, the walkability to all the places around, and the use of e-bikes are all top notch.
This place should be ground zero for anyone that wants a luxurious stay in the valley. Cannot think of a way it could be topped.
We loved our stay! The Estate is so quiet and relaxing. Perfect place to disconnect for the weekend. We enjoyed our time by the pool. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It's perfectly located near amazing dining options. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway!
Beautiful grounds and elegant common areas. Enjoyed unwinding after enjoying Yountville during the day. Easy walk to great restaurants. Very comfortable rooms.
We were given an accessible room and not told this at check in, that evening when we went to shower. We realized we would have to sit in the tub or stand and hold a sprayer to shower. Typically when checking into a 5 star hotel you receive a welcome
Email that details the type of room you will be staying in as well as asking for your arrival time. We did not receive any communication nor did they email back when i reached out. The staff is not helpful at breakfast , there is a lot of staff on but they just gather and talk amongst themselves instead of helping guests. The rooms are in need of upgrades, furniture dated and beds humped in the middle. Redeeming qualities of the hotel, great location, beautiful grounds, good food.
I helped plan a trip for 8 couples to stay at The Estate Yountville. The hotel is charming and in a wonderful location in the beautiful town of Yountville. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful rose gardens. The breakfast is wonderful way to start your day. They offer a menu to order off of but they do not tell you that it not part of the buffet breakfast and will charge you. When questioned about the charge the staff did not help provide any answers. Rooms are clean and very cozy. Just make sure you are not in the very back building rooms 500 at Vintage house, you will hear the highway all day and night. I gave this review a 4 out of 5 because before the stay, I spent months trying to get the hotel to help set up a group dinner for the party of 16. It was very difficult. Once a plan had been made to do dinner at the hotels restaurant on the property, Clementine. A week before our stay the hotel cancelled our reservation stating that they would not be open on the day of our reservation. It was very disappointing and had to rush around to find a restaurant that would be able to handle the large party. Lucky we did find Mustard Grill. The hotel did not show any acknowledgement during the stay for their inconvenience. I was given probably the worst room in the entire hotel and also the concierge came to meet me.
Daily breakfast was good. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. The room was a great size and had good amenities. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. We loved the view. The location is perfect and close to great restaurants. Not far from the Napa Wine Train, which was a great experience.
he only downside was that the spa was closed and we were not informed about this ahead of time. However, they spa concierge did recommend another local spa that was great.
Almost everything about this hotel was top notch from the service, to the amenities, to the food at the on property restaurants, to the rooms. I loved the candy in the room ("be a kid again, have one!"), to the cookie jar in the lobby, to the delicious breakfasts, and the fabulous on-property restaurants. The pools are lovely as are all the public gathering spaces on the patio and in the lobby. The housekeeping was wonderful, friendly, and quiet! The bellmen/doormen were so welcoming, friendly and helpful every time we came back to the hotel. The only thing I didn't love about the stay of the hotel is the price of the rooms which were pretty grand. We were a group of 12 and our friend had coordinated our stay, reservations, dinners and activities with the concierge team. Unfortunately, several of the pre-arranged activities (bike ride, dinner reservations, itineraries in room, all second floor rooms) fell through the cracks. With the amount of money that was being charged for the rooms and the number of people that were brought to the hotel by our friend, I would have thought that all of our plans were set in gold, so it was disappointing to see that they were not. One other thing to note is that there is not a closet in the room. There is a rack with a few small drawers and shelves; typical of what you would see in small European hotels. I believe the room is large enough (and charged expensively enough) to warrant at least a wardrobe with a cabinet.
No additional bolts in doors, recommend bringing something. Closet space an exposed rack with not much space. For the price. - a cabinet would be better. Excellent staff. Nice lobby & outside space for relaxing. Nice complex. No elevators to 2nd floor if you need one. Excellent location in Yountville. Great bathrooms.
The room was clean and beautifully appointed. The bathroom and shower were fantastic. The restaurant with lounge and fireplace had a wonderful vibe and a very healthy and delicious breakfast buffet.
There is no elevator so you have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs if your room is on the second floor.
Gorgeous hotel, excellent location in heart of Yountville. Dinner at Bottega fantastic. You can walk to dinners, golf & visit Jessup tasting room! Call Jorge Guzman @ Elevated Wine Tours for a memorable wine tasting experience.
Loved the location and loved how luxurious the property looked and felt.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
This was our fourth stay at the Hotel Villagio at Estate Yountville, and sadly, we were disappointed. On previous stays, we enjoyed the spa facilities, which are a centerpiece of this property, but it was closed for remodeling. I only learned of the spa closure after booking and after the cancellation period had transpired. This is especially frustrating because I had called several times after booking to confirm the room configuration and to schedule our couples massage. after several attempts to get through by phone, and requesting callbacks with no success, I finally got through to the concierge, who informed me that the spa was closed for remodeling. I was advised to book with a neighboring spa, which I did. This was not an ideal arrangement since I picture my wife and I using the facilities including massage treatments, sauna, and steam, throughout our stay as part of a relaxing three-day weekend anniversary retreat. Learning that our spa appointment was going to be off-property was greatly disappointment, especially because, in retrospect, the website and the telephone system could have been set up to proactively notify guests of the spa closure prior to booking these very expensive stays. We chose this property because we like the location in Yountville and because of the spa facilities. We are accustomed to splurging for a special hotel experience in Napa, having stayed here previously, as well as the Four Seasons Napa, but this visit did not meet our expectations. Even the room experience was not what it used to be, as our fireplace was disabled, for safety reasons. I would hope that efforts are underway to reconfigure the fireplaces with an alternative to wood-burning, as its an important amenity that we enjoyed on previous stays. The people on staff are attentive and friendly, but I wonder why it's so difficult to get through to a human by phone when not on the property. The difficulty getting a call through or a call back after booking my room was a red flag in hindsight that made me wonder what's going on. From a customer service standpoint, better and more proactive communication and disclosure about facilities or amenities being unavailable, both on the website and within the phone system, would give a better, more professional and honest customer service and a better impression. I would also caution other visitors, that there is less to do in Yountville today than in prior years, when there were more shopping and dining options, all walkable within the lovely town. I understand that after the pandemic, local retail fell into decline, and so the nice stores with quality home goods, clothing and gourmet shops disappeared. Only a chocolate shop and a tasting experience exist in the indoor mall previously named V Marketplace. Fortunately, most of the Yountville restaurants and bakeries are there, but other than dining and tasting rooms, there's less to explore walking the town.
