Shephard at African Pride Melrose Arch

I recently stayed at African Pride Melrose Arch in Johannesburg and just wanted to give a special mention to Shephard.
He was honestly fantastic. From the moment I arrived he was incredibly helpful, efficient and just very easy to deal with. Nothing ever felt like a problem and everything was handled quickly and professionally.
It’s always noticeable when someone genuinely cares about the guest experience, and Shephard definitely does. He was friendly, calm and just made things run smoothly during my stay, which you really appreciate when you’re travelling.
A big thank you to Shephard for the great service. The hotel is lucky to have him.

Outstanding Stay!
Pros:

We had a fantastic stay at African Pride. The location is unbeatable — right in the middle of Melrose Arch with great restaurants, cafés, and shops just steps away, all within a safe and walkable precinct. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a boutique yet upscale feel.
What truly stood out was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional throughout my stay, and breakfast offered a generous, high-quality selection. We would absolutely stay here again.

Best in Melrose Arch!
Pros:

The staff are so friendly and genuinely welcoming. They make the whole place feel relaxed from the moment you walk in.

Breakfast was hands down one of the best parts. Whether you go for the continental spread or order from the à la carte menu, everything is absolutely delicious.

The rooms are spotless, super comfortable, and I honestly had some of the best sleep I’ve had in ages.

Every stay here feels special and memorable. Can’t wait to come back!

Saved the day!
Pros:

My wife and I had our flights canceled leaving our honeymoon so we needed to find a hotel last second. Shepherd and his team were very attentive, generous and welcoming throughout our stay. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly for people looking to stay in the greater Johannesburg area. It's in a prime location with restaurants and shopping.

Also, their restaurant Aduna is fantastic.

Absolutely wonderful!
Pros:

Superior customer service in all of our interactions, from the bell hop to the wait staff at the restaurant. They made us feel very well taken care of. Special thanks to Nathaniel who assisted us with our luggage and Keith who cared for us at breakfast. Truly top notch care.
