Massive disappointment - will book elsewhere.

Dove toiletries in the bathroom.

Well we didn’t get our rooms that we booked and paid for in advance! I’d like someone to follow up with me about this. A sofa vs a double bed = no comparison. No other room. No solution. Just attitude. And the front desk were sporting a qr code to try and get you to tip them. That was just really tacky. Plus it made it worse when there was no support. Very disappointing and I do feel that there should be reparations for this. The sofa bed had no bedding so we had to ask for that. We had to make up the bed which by doing so exposed a stained cigarette burn on the duvet.

Lost some trust in Booking.com for the first time ever in my experience of travelling.

This was the last night as a family after a PhD graduation and our daughter had a very uncomfortable bar in her back on the sofa bed. It’s not for 30 year olds. Maybe for kids.

Communication inexistante avec l'hôtel

Malgré plusieurs messages, je n'ai eu aucune réponse de la part de l'établissement. Nous devions arriver vers minuit à l'aéroport et je leur ai envoyé des messages pour savoir si leur service de navette serait encore disponible à cette heure ci. Sans réponse de leur part, nous avons attendu la navette malgré tout, qui n'est jamais arrivée. Nous avons donc dû prendre un taxi et sommes arrivés à l'hôtel à 1h du matin. Cette arrivée tardive nous a été facturée 25 dollars. Très déçus de ce manque de communication et d'informations, ainsi que de cette facturation que nous trouvons abusive !
Sans parler du personnel vraiment pas aimable !

The Staff Makes This Hotel Memorable
Pros:

We spent maybe 10 hours at this hotel, but it is one that my family won't forget, and that is largely in part due to an incredible employee, Charlene, who went above and beyond for our family.

My family stayed here for one quick night (7/9/2026) flying in from Chicago and getting to NOLA around 1am, myself, my husband and two young kids. We were checked in by a really kind woman who was cheerful, despite the late hour. We immediately went to sleep, woke up and enjoyed the free breakfast and then we were on our way to our next destination, Orange Beach, Alabama- all in, we were there for less than 10 hours. However, once we got to Alabama and it was bedtime, we realized our 7 year old daughter's most beloved stuffed animal was left behind at the Holiday Inn back in New Orleans. I immediately called the hotel around 9pm, and asked if it had been turned in by housekeeping, and was told to call back the next day. With nothing to but wait, I wrote an email to the front desk with a photo of our missing pal and explained how important she was to our daughter.

The next day, I called back and this was my first interaction with the amazing Charlene. I explained the fraughtness of our situation and what we were missing, and Charlene stayed on the phone with me while she went to housekeeping, laundry and the lost and found, and was genuinely sorry when she told me that no one had found our stuffed animal. I told her I'd sent an email with a photo and she said she'd share that internally with the staff so everyone could be on the look out, and I told her I'd call back again, as we were heading back to NOLA on 7/15 to fly home, so we had a few days to keep looking.

I called back the next day and Charlene once again answered, and sadly told me that there was still no luck but she'd call me if there was an update. Well, maybe 30 minutes later, Charlene called me back and left a voicemail, excitedly stating that they'd found a stuffed animal in an unsorted bin of clean laundry, and she would text me a photo of it to ensure it was our missing friend. And it WAS! Charlene was SO kind and took the extra step to make sure our beloved pal was kept safe until we could come back for it a few days later, and even offered to ship it to us if that was more convenient.

Charlene left a lasting impact on our family and especially my daughter, who was so emotional to be reunited with her favorite stuffie. The only bummer was that Charlene wasn't there to reunite us but her coworkers told us she was really excited for us to be coming to get it and that she was so glad she could help.

Truly they went above and beyond for us and they easily could have just written it off as lost, but they are such caring folks and despite how frantic of a situation as it was for our family, I am so glad our paths crossed with Charlene and she reminded us that there are good people in the world. Thank you so much, Charlene!

Cons:

We tried to order a shuttle-service from the airport (which was offered by the hotel). We never received any response and had to take a taxi.
There were cockroaches in the room!
