TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ft Lauderdale West (Newly Renovated)

When i booked this I chose to pay at property. When I got to the hotel I was told my room was cancelled after driving over an hour and that they sent me an email advising it was cancelled. No one called me to say I needed to pay before I got there and email is not a reliable form of communication. Very unprofessional and I will be notifying Marriot of this.

It was awesome. The front desk was very courteous and welcoming. I definitely would recommend this location.

Rooms are renovated and are comfortable in general. I booked a queen bed plus a sofa bed room. The sofa bed is a foldable futon. When you unfold it is hard and has no mattress. It is really uncomfortable and obviously not what they advertise. I complained but because it was past midnight, I had to wait until the next day to get help from the manager. They switch the room to a 2 bedroom suite. It has 2 queen beds and was very comfortable.
Rooms are nice, but sleeping on that was bad. Staff was helpful but couldn’t solve my problem immediately.

This hotel was sold out when I arrived and my paid 2 bedroom suite was sold, after driving 5 hours with kids and arriving at 11:00pm it was very frustrating to find out we had no room, thankfully the front desk lady was able to accommodate us in a one bedroom one bed and a sofa which we had no choice since could drive not another mile as I was extremely tired. I hope I get a refund or some kind of compensation for this uncomfortable and inconvenient situation they put us through.

Everything was nice and convient quiet peaceful.

The rooms are outdated, outlet colors are yellow. The rooms are only cleaned every other day. The building has a smell. Towels and sheets also has a smell as if they were kept in a closed environment for a while. The style of the resort feels like a motel. Behind the tv in the bedroom was very dusty. The bathroom door had issues closing. The tub drain malfunctioned. In the rooms the fridge are also outdated. Definitely not worth the price and need major renovations. Definitely would not recommend.

I want to thank the staff for making our stay easier from making the coffee was filled to helping with the last min need for a late checkout. Greeted when every time you walked in.
