Located ok
Pool was closed. Should have said so on reservation. Food was terrible. Undercooked bacon. Yucky eggs
Comfortable bed
The bed was super comfortable
The room had an old smoking room smell. We had to wait 10 minutes for someone to check us in when ther re was no one else waiting.
The breakfast was much better than expected, it was the best part of the stay. Check in/out is super easy. The AC works good.
Walked in the room and it smelled of mold, badly. The room is advertised as 2 queen beds, it was actually 2 full size beds. The carpet had holes in it, there were parts of the walls with holes/damage, the bathroom was a wreck…big gaps between the floor and walls, no fan in the bathroom so there is mildew and the obvious musty smell, some of the trim isn’t even the right length…just looks very cheap and run down. The pool is shut down. The curtains didn’t even close all the way and when your room is right at the parking lot entrance it causes sleep issues with headlights shining in your room.
May breakfast in they lose the power eggs
Many families where there to find out and we book extra day to enjoyed the pool and never seen where it say it was down the work out room down showers no pressure it was Spring Break you wanted a pool that why we stay and try to cancel the second night but the jerk I was talking to could not understand he could had just text me a link instead he kept me on hold almost an hour
Nothing
My grandson thought he had made the reservation for Sweetwater, Texas instead of Sweetwater, Tennessee. We were still charged for the night even though we did not arrive there.
What a dump. Do you like hot water in your shower?? Then this is not the place to stay. Forget the pool - it's out of commission. The place is most obviously an old hotel that was only partially refurbished. Do not stay here. As a matter of fact, the last Holiday Inn Express wasn't much better and my husband and I have been loyal customers but we are going back to Hyatt. The HIEs have allowed people who don't know how to run hotels to run their hotels. So done with HIE - they started out great but now they are terrible.
The location
We couldn’t use pool or gym and there was no ice. All of these were closed
I need to be improved
I picked the hotel with indoor pool, so my children could go swimming and the pool was not usable.
Every thing was fine with Breakfast
#1 - Your pool was closed, we were not told this and we were counting on a swimming pool that was one of our criteria when deciding where to stay...
#2 Our room was not only by the ELEVATOR but ALSO the ICE MACHINE - you also have TWO CHAIRS right by the ice machine - what for? So people will not only come up the Elevator, get ice and have a place to sit for what - conversation??? - to encourage to stay and chat???? (so the location of the room had not only 1 bad thing but three bad things) Not great for sleep ... try it some time on a weekend ....
#3 Our remote from the TV did not work the very 1st night (we survived) the next day we dropped it off at the desk and were told to pick it up when we returned, that it would be fixed. Nope, it was not...we were too tired to go back down... the next day two people came up to make sure to get it working.
Hotel is terrible! Management needs to spend on a remodel. Looks like they tried but failed. Takes forever to checkin. Mold in the bathroom, sink will not drain, pool and fitness center is temporary out of order and has been closed for awhile (probably too cheap to spend money to fix the issue) Only 1 ice machine works, again fix the other machines. Hotel elevator is sketchy, but no worries, the inspection report is in the office if you want to review. They should have kept the food inspection report in the office also. Humm.. 83? Holiday Inn should consider closing this hotel.
