This is the first time visiting this hotel and this part of the island. Overall, the staff are not that friendly, or helpful. You can’t use the swimming pool (any of them until 10 am), you can’t use the gym until 8 am. Everybody must be out of the swimming pool by 6 pm, which seems bizarre when you still got over two hours of sunshine left. Hotel and grounds are clean but this is definitely not four star.
So far what we’ve injured when it comes to entertainment in the evening is absolutely dire.
Incredible variety of spaces and activities. Huge rooms. Perfect location in front to one of the most beautiful beaches of Lanzarote
Rooms might have been cleaner
The hotel is tastefully decorated, lots of greenery and quiet spaces to sit. Facilities are excellent and staff are without exception professional, helpful and friendly.
Thanks for a great stay, our second visit to the hotel. We did find certain areas terribly noisy but only to be eco in a family friendly hotel
Lovely hotel in a great location. Rooms are spacious and food is really good (although we only had breakfasts). Large pools and it is always easy to get a sun lounger. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Iona at reception.
Amazing week and kids thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was best buffet we’ve experienced at a resort, staff service was excellent and a key part of the week was the soccer camp. Expected to do it one or two days but was so good did it daily. Brilliantly ran by the two coaches, inclusive of all age and ability and just an excellent activity each day. Highly recommend
We had a real 5 star experience throughout our stay. Our suite was excellent with a great view over pool and sea. The most important factor in awarding it 5 stars was the helpfulness, care and attention to detail of both management and staff. From Corina at check in to Marcos and his staff at the à la carte breakfast, the Guest Experience and the housekeeping staff everyone was so professional and helpful.
We’ll definitely be back.

We made our annual visit to the Princessa Yaiza hotel on Sat 25th April. We are regular visitors and we are used to the exceptional service that we as guests enjoy. The experience started with a complementary glass of bubbly on check in. Our loyalty as returning customers was rewarded with a room upgrade to a fantastic pool facing suite in block C.
After that everything that we have grown accustomed to over the years was on show. The exceptional breakfast buffet, the marvellous selection of drinks and treats during the day by the pool.
But the thing that underpins every experience we have had at PY is the exceptional customer service delivered with efficiency and a smile. Nothing was too much trouble to a team eager to help at all times.
Having just arrived home yesterday, it won’t be long before we start to plan our next visit to the wonderful Princessa Yaiza.
Very Good, Hotel is class.. quality is excellent, Location is ideal, the back gate is on the promenade so near the marina 10 mins walk and main strip of bars and restaurants 5 mins walk.
Our stay at the Rosa Hotels Princesa Yaiza was an exceptional experience for the whole family. This five-star resort in Lanzarote perfectly balances luxury for adults with endless entertainment for children.
Lovely hotel, great position near the beach and shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.
We chose this hotel as we have frequently stayed at the Fariones in Puerto del Carmen and like the brand and quality it offers. The Princess is also a quality hotel but is family friendly and we did not really appreciate how much this would affect us. In usual Rosa style, the hotel is beautiful with some spectacular features - the indoor palm garden and the vaulted and galleried lobby. The buffet food was good, and the welcome and service from all staff is exemplary. For young families the provision looks excellent.
We found buffet breakfast and dinner to be extremely noisy with so many little children screaming and crying. Sometimes we were seated in a “quieter” area at dinner but the echoing nature of the room actually resulted in it being so noisy we could not hear each other speak. Management did arrange for us to breakfast at the Isle de Lobos restaurant on our last morning, and this was perfect.
We appreciate that the parents of little children are also on holiday and want to have a nice time but it’s surely not in anybody’s interest to allow - even encourage- their children to run about the buffet area, ride a scooter and bounce balls.
We also would have liked the terrace bar to be child free - we do like a cocktail before dinner, and despite the hotel having ample terraces and a bar in the children’ s entertainment area, families sometimes occupied this small space.
This is something we think that Rosa could consider which may make this hotel more relaxing for guests without children.
This hotel has won awards for the family friendly facilities and if we could turn the clock back (a lot) we would be thrilled to stay here with our little children , but we have to accept that we are used to a quieter, relaxed holiday and for us made a less than ideal choice.
Try out the fantastic room service and pool bar. The cost of the evening dinner buffet is too expensive.
Colazione fantastica, molto adatta a famiglie con figli, meno a coppie che cercano tranquillità
Mi aspettavo che la spa fosse inclusa
Be prepared for plenty of children running around. We were aware of it not being adult only but there are no areas to escape. Even on our balcony in Room 231 we were opposite the noisy kids club ! Hotel itself is lovely & breakfast was plentiful , if a little chaotic.
What a beautiful Hotel and lovely Staff. We had a very spacious room almost a small apartment. The location was very well placed for visiting all the best areas of Playa Blanca. The Staff are all very friendly and welcoming, Charaf in the Lobby/Piano Bar is outstanding. He notices as soon as you enter the lounge after dinner and ensures you have your drinks promptly. The Hotel is very clean and especially the sun beds and pool area is immaculate. The food is very good with a good choice and great variety every evening. The freshly cooked lamb chops were delicious.
Restaurant Don Giovanni at Hotel Princesa Yaiza is a place we happily returned to during our second stay. We dined there several times again, and it did not disappoint. The food is tasty with plenty of choice, including good options for children—complete with a coloring page to keep them entertained.
We also appreciated the clear allergen menu and the staff’s willingness to accommodate dietary needs. The service is friendly and efficient, making the experience even more enjoyable. When the weather allows, it’s especially nice to sit outside on the little square, which adds a relaxed and charming atmosphere to the meal.
Absolutely stunning resort from start to finish. The setting is beautiful, with immaculate grounds, multiple pools, and a real sense of calm throughout. The suite was spacious, spotless, and finished to a very high standard—exactly what you’d expect from a premium stay. The food, facilities, and overall atmosphere were exceptional. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service—Alessio in particular was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, always attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about making the stay perfect.
