When I booked the hotel they told me include breakfast, but after I checked in they told me no breakfast included
They have tiny little roll of toilet paper, so I had to call them twice a day to get more toilet paper
The room comes with a baths which is a nice feature for China, a fridge, safe and an emergency torch. The layout of the room is nice.
The breakfast is adequate but the dishes were already a little cold at 7:30 (breakfast runs 7-9).
The rooms was equipped with an old style air conditioning unit which wouldn't control the temperature properly. My wife's pillow caused her problems.
The hotel claims to provide a gym and a pool but in fact these are public facilities. The gym was great but the pool space is very limited and makes having a real swim troublesome.
The gym opens 9am-10pm.
My Expedia booking, made 10 mths ago, was not in their computer system. I had to book a room at higher rate on the spot. I was asked many "silly" questions about my booking by two staff members for 10' until the front office manager appeared to tell me it was their new system that "forgot" about my Expedia booking which he entered manually. I was given the room in 2 minutes. The nightmare was: I was told their hotel got no connection with Expedia and would not give me a note, document, supporting my claim for refund from Expedia. It is a franchised hotel of the Choice Hotel group.
旧ルネッサンスホテル時代は良く利用しておりましたが、やはり建物が古く多くの劣化が見られます。朝食もルネッサンス時代とは比べものにならないくらい貧弱なもの。滞在中にエレベーターが壊れて階段を使わされました。現在は天津滨江万丽酒店ではなくて天津滨江凯隆酒店に名前が変わりましたのでtaxiで行き場所を告げる時にはご注意下さい。

Having never visited Tianjin, I took the chance and reserved a five day stay at Clarion Tianjin Hotel. It proved to be a winner in several respects. First, its center city location meant that traveling by taxi to different sites was quick and inexpensive. Second. surrounding the hotel are a number of restaurants across the board and convenient malls and shops. Other hotels elsewhere in the city did not have the kind of cluster of stores for window-shopping and necessities. It is also at the hub of city taxis, which made for easy transportation around the city. Don't look elsewhere. This is the place to stay!

Overall, the hotel is quite nice and comfortable. However, compared to other hotels in Tianjin: The staff was helpful when asked, but did not go out of their way to approach us; the pool was nice, but tiles were missing from the side; the workout room was good but not great, and the steam room in the men's locker room was not working; the breakfast buffet was full of Chinese delicacies, but a little lacking on the Western side: the website lists three restaurants, but really there is only one; the others are a coffee shop and a lobby bar; the website also listed a convenience store, but none exists; in our room for two, there was only one robe. These are all small details, but they would lead me to go back to another hotel on my next visit.
