The Residence was absolutely fabulous! The view was amazing. There was plenty of room and very quiet. Perfect for a family or couples traveling together. The staff at the hotel were marvelous and helpful. Really good value when traveling with others.
The residence is on a steep road so you must be fit to get to and from town.
Location is VERY central. Good size of the room, well designed.
Mattresses are disaster! Very low quality - back pain is guaranteed! Having good mattress is basic for a hotel with this price level. Never come back simply for this reason

we had been traveling for some weeks when we reached eichardts, so having laundry facilities in our apartment suite were an unexpected bonus. The nice kitchen also gave us the ability to cook some food items which we like without going out to a restaurant. The locaction of eichardts at the waterfront promenade was beautiful and got us close to all the local bars and tours. We were served a liesurly but excellent free breakfast in the eichardts bar. Great and helpful hotel staff. Queenstown on the wharf is so beautiful, dont go to the uphill accomodations
we had to climb up a set of stairs to access our unit.

beds were horrible, very soft, woke up with a lot of back pain, breakfast was a la carte, not buffet. Room (Vault) had no windows, living room had no view.
