Lots to like
The choice of food and how to find it 🤔
The hotel is near Stow on the Wold which is a beautiful place to visit. The North Wing of the hotel has had more money spent on it and is stylishly decorated.
We were in the South Wing. We had stayed here many years ago when it was owned by a different company, but were extremely disappointed in this occasion. The grounds were bare, even the walk leading to the reception had some beautiful copper troughs that could have looked stunning, but instead had not been planted out or even weeded. The room was very small and bathroom had signs of rust and generally looked tired. The air conditioning stopped working on our second night. There seemed to be a bigger issue than just our room, as many maintenance workers were along the corridors. The hotel is massive and tends to attract an older clientele. Someone’s previous comment about arriving to the set of Cocoon sums it up well. Overall, we wouldn’t be returning or recommending.
The whole foods experience from room to food & drinks & spa
Beautiful surroundings
Liked it all
Very clean, very friendly staff . Great entertainment and food. Beautiful well kept grounds.
We liked everything about the property.
Stunning grounds
Ontbijt was goed .
Enkel jammer dat je tijdstip moet reserveren .
Very comfortable rooms.
Everything is done online from booking to finding out about the hotel and what’s on. I had great difficulty as I had to amend my booking and book times for breakfast and our evening meal. This all had to be done on line and I needed a code for each room (I had booked 4). The booking.com code was not recognised and it took me hours to find out the codes as it’s nearly impossible to speak to a person. Altogether a very frustrating experience!
Old worldly
Room very warm no air conditioning
Location
Menu very poor for vegetarian options and even if you only wanted 1 course from the 3 you still had to pay the full price of £30
Beautiful grounds very clean and well maintained all around
I found a real lack of info the signage wasn't great and hard to fathom what was where. I booked cycle hire through the warner booking page. Thye omit to tell you where to go for it
