The bed was comfortable and entertainment was good considering it’s aimed more for an elder generation.
Mould all up the windowsill and curtains, complained and got another room. Still some mould on new room curtains but no way near as bad as what we had. Will attach photos of mould - room 136. (Hopefully this gets fixed).
Says it’s adult only hotel but more like 40/50+ no younger generation there, we saw one other younger couple so felt very out of place. Coffee I had at breakfast was served nearly cold had to wait 20 minutes for a hot one by that point I had already finished my breakfast and my plate underneath had onions on still which none were served at breakfast so plates weren’t cleaned properly from the day before. As much as the hotel is lovely to look at inside and out I wouldn’t stay here again.

Excellent weekend. Entertainment and food top level. Really enjoyed the one price for all.
It was all good
Nice pool, food good, beautiful site
We booked a twin room which was confirmed on the phone. When we arrived it was a standard double
They offered to upgrade to a twin for a ridiculous amount of money considering it was 10.30pm and we were there for one night
Beautiful hotel and gardens. Food was of a high standard. Spa was lovely and I had the most relaxing treatment I’ve ever had from Jordan. The added touch of the evening entertainment in the theatre and late lounge was an added bonus!
The hotel was great but we did find one of your reception team to be a little terse which was a shame. All other staff we came in contact with were extremely helpful. Unfortunately she wasn’t. Sorry I don’t have a name but she was on reception for our check in on Wednesday 21st late pm and check out on Friday 23rd at 9.40am. She wasn’t rather abrupt and we felt we were an inconvenience.
Beautifully fitted and maintained. Lots of space and seating. Good activities. Reasonable prices for food and activities.
Not much not to like
The place was stunning the grounds were beautiful
The staff in the bar’s & restaurants were friendly & very helpful
Reception staff not as friendly I know it’s hard work
& there busy but you should get more staff on to help them too so as it’s not so stressful
Our first time for us so we didn’t know all the details
I found them unfriendly
As above
The property was beautiful and had absolutely everything, the facilities were amazing. My partner and I enjoyed the spa, we had massage treatments done by Rachel and Margaret they were lovely. Mostly all the staff were helpful and friendly. On the first evening we stayed i suddenly became very unwell but we had a dinner reservation for 8pm in the Brasserie, we managed to get to dinner but unfortunately i had to leave immediately, my boyfriend explained to the staff and they kindly made an exception for us to have our food in our room even though they don’t usually allow it so it was much appreciated, thank you. I have recommended this hotel to a few family members after staying here, we loved all the entertainment and activities they had to offer and the grounds are stunning. There is something for everyone, we found it very accommodating.
With that said, we were staying here for my partners 25th birthday ( Tuesday 20th January) . We had dinner at the Brasserie, but a completely different experience to our first night ( Monday 19th) where the staff were kind, professional, understanding & welcoming.
Unfortunately our waiter was extremely rude in his manner. We arrived for our 8pm booking 10 minutes late ( completely our own fault but it was my boyfriend’s birthday we were celebrating & lost track of time ). To be greeted with a short man covered in tattoos with shoulder length dark curly greasy hair huffing and puffing who told another staff member “ well the last booking was at 8!” as he saw us but never acknowledged us standing there and stormed into the kitchen. Once we’d been seated for 30 seconds he came over to take our drinks and asked if we were ready to order food ? Which i replied no ? He said “ oh ok well it’s just the chefs”…. He honestly rushed us from start to finish and clearly was desperate for an early finish, our plates were taken as soon as our cutlery was put together while we were literally still chewing. We were in the restaurant for 35 minutes including drinks, starters & main courses. If this wasn’t bad enough he stood at the bar slurping his drink through a straw and then proceeded to belch like a pig. I found him actually quite grotesque and was extremely disappointed as i wanted this night to be special for my boyfriends birthday and i’m sure if the staff who worked the previous night served us it would’ve been.
room were a amazing , expect my pillow was like rocks , but everyone else in my party was fine, breakfast as amazing too , loads of choice for food , loved it .
the fire alarm at 4am ..
and the que for checking in was too long when you travelled 3 hours to get there.
But the lady was every helpful.
