Not an enjoyable experience. Other hotels are better choice.
Pros:

Staff was friendly. Bedding was comfortable. Room accessed by keycard touch vs. insert.

Cons:

Coffee maker didn't work, TV was old (not a smart TV, lack of available channels), no lamp on desk. Carpet was dirty. Counter tops were sticky.

I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again on future trips to Southport.
Pros:

My room was all the way at the back, far from the highway, so very quiet. Bed very comfy—I took my own pillow. Sitting area good. Everything very clean, breakfast bar had a good selection. All staff I interacted with were courteous and friendly.

Cons:

Minor problem to be aware of temporarily and not in Comfort Suite’s control is the 24/7 roadwork in front, making left turns in and out of the parking lot impossible, only U-turns. But that was a minor inconvenience.

Pros:

The breakfast was good

Cons:

The trash dumpster was just outside our room and was picked up before 5 am two mornings. It woke
us up both times. Our room was also located near a side door that was opened and slammed several times during the night, but overall it was an enjoyable experience

It was clean, welcoming and wonderful!
Pros:

The front desk was amazing!! So friendly and welcoming. I honestly can’t remember the last time I felt so welcomed while checking into a hotel!

Cons:

I wish there was a paved path to walk around the building with our dogs.

The water pressure in the shower was awful haha
