We had looked forward to our stay at the Mrimar, but it was very disappointing.
Pros:

the staff was open to us leaving our suitcases at the hotel after checkout since our flight out was only late that day

Cons:

bed mattress was of very poor quality
odor in our room was musty and dank
cold water tap was but a trickle in bathroom sink
shower didn’t drain
no hooks anywhere to hang used towels or clothes
no hangers in closet
one closet door did not slide
we could hear loud patrons in other rooms in the evening

Cons:

Odeur noseabondes d'urine dans la salle de bain. Nous avions 3 chambres, 2 sur 3 chambres avaient des problèmes d'odeur. Pas d'eau chaude dans les 3 chambres. La douche évacue mal l'eau. La salle de bain n'est pas super propre et l'espace entre la toilette et le mur est très étroit. Les lits sont très dur et non confortable. La terrasse était fermée, non accessible. Le monsieur a la réception n'était pas super sympathique. Bref, je ne recommande aucunement cet hôtel, le prix est largement trop élevé pour ce que tu obtiens en échange. Le quartier est ordinaire aussi. 2 des 3 chambres avaient une vue sur un édifice collé, donc aucune vue. Rien de comparable à ce que nous avions sur les photos du site. Les taxes payer sur place étaient très élevées. L'air climatisé dans notre chambre était très bruyante. Nous avions aussi des gros bruit de tuyauterie par moment. Bref, à éviter. Lorsque nous avons demandé une réduction du prix considérant les problématiques, la dame nous a répondu qu'elle n'était pas manager, de communiquer par courriel à cet effet. Donc, aucun service ou possibilité de régler les inconvénients sur place.

Location was great - close to TMobile district and port.
Breakfast at Los Pinos (1/2 block from hotel) was very good.
Although hotel recommends the cafe directly across from them.

I was stuck in San Juan due to a blizzard in the NE. I had no cheap choice but here!
Pros:

The location was good

Cons:

The parking was an additional fee of 20bucks, along with the fact that you couldn't get in or out of the gate without alerting the desk clerk, across a busy street to use a clicker to open the gate. No way to walk out on your own so you are trapped until they notice you. The beds were akin to a futon. Very uncomfortable. The hotel is very dated and dirty. The rooftop was closed for construction.
