Meliá Cozumel - All Inclusive

We had an excellent stay for our first time. The facility is always so clean and every employee we encountered was kind and helpful. Shout out to Diego and Alejandro on the Level Beaxh Area.

We’ve never found the need to use a concierge in any of our travels but we were VERY impressed by the service and attention we received from Alfonso. Checking on us daily and assisting with anything even helping with reservation off the resort and was very helpful providing us with information about the island.

We would love to come back because of this and hopefully not too much changes in those regards when the renovations happen (found this out after speaking with a few guests).

Food was also quite good for an all inclusive.

This was our 7th time at Melia. There is a reason we keep going back. The rooms are comfortable with great ocean views. The food and drinks are great with a lot of choices. The best thing is the staff. Our bartenders Felipe, Santos, and Erik, just to name a few are spectacular. Antonio, Cynthia and others were very attentive at the buffet. Manuel in guest services is a great help with reservations and excursions. We can't wait to return next Spring.

A solid choice for a simple, stress‑free vacation in a safe and beautiful part of Cozumel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, staff were amazing and provided exceptional attentive service. Dining is decent with several restaurant options. The beach and pools were our trip and offered plenty of space for us to unwind in the sun.

We love Santos at the lobby bar. Personable and remembers our orders. Always smiling. 🙂

Had an amazing time at Meliá Cozumel. Felt very safe the entire time and the staff were phenomenal. My favourite bartender Santos made the trip well worth it, he’s very sweet and attentive. The concierge at the front of the hotel was also super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again. I wouldn’t even mind coming back here solo as it’s safe, secluded, and the other guests are nothing but friendly and welcoming.

This hotel was very comfortable and located on a beautiful beach - great snorkeling off the beach a short walk past the pier! Fantastic and welcoming service staff. Ivan (at the towel shack on the beach) in particular was also very helpful arranging for a small boat snorkel and knowledgeable about when and where to go to maximize time snorkeling at the best locations.

We had a room on the 11th floor with a balcony hot tub…this was lovely and had a gorgeous view - except that the balcony above is recessed and they have a direct view. Would be better if a solid roof was installed, or an awning, for a bit more privacy. Was very uncomfortable to use the hot tub when they were out on their balcony too.

The food at the buffet was not great but if you have dietary concerns, ask to speak with the executive chef as they are very accommodating and willing to arrange for meals that are cooked especially for you to avoid contamination.

Unfortunately when we were there the North winds blew in a huge amount of sargassum that took several days for their maintenance staff to clear from the beach by hand since using tractors pulls away too much of the gorgeous sand. Luck of the draw…the weather was also cold so we just went in to town for various meals and spent one afternoon learning to cook traditional food with La Taxqueria!

Overall the location staff and service are great at the Melia but if you are a foodie you will be disappointed. Fortunately there are a number of great restaurants a short taxi ride away.

We have been trusting the Melia in Cozumel with our vacation time for more than 21 years and for very good reasons. The buildings and grounds are always being maintained, updated and clean. The rooms are also well maintained and cleaned daily. When we arrived all the paperwork was ready as well as our room. It only took about 15 minutes to finalize the check in and we were settling into our room. On the resort there is the main buffet restaurant which is always clean and the freshly prepared foods are presented in a sanitary environment. On the grounds there are 4 additional eating and dining areas. The Fish House, The Mole and the Taco Restaurant all require reservations while the eatery in the garden area doesn't. In the restaurants most of the men wear collared shirts with dress shorts or pants. Footwear is a must. The offerings in all of the restaurants were delicious. In the adult pool area adult beverages are served until the late afternoon. There is quite music being played in this very clean area. Some people bring their own music and keep the volume low so only the guests in the immediate area can hear it. We did see a rep remind one group of guests to please lower the volume of their music. The indicator of a well managed business is how many employees stay with the company and the Melia Cozumel has a staff of professional, polite, helpful and friendly. We want to thank Freddy, Antonio, Jorge, Francisco, Arcanangle, Gilberto, Nemisco, April, Veronica, Edwin, Diego, Alejandro, Angel, Angela and Hanna for all their professional and friendly service . We are leaving Meliá today and are sad to be going home. We came here two years ago, skipped last year, and then came back this year with our 3 year old and a group of about 17 extended family members ranging from 1-70 years old. It’s a great family vacation spot! The resort is small, but perfect for families. We upgrade to the Level experience and it’s so worth the extra cost. The level beach with the beach cabanas is perfect for families. Diego and Alejandro are the beach bar tenders and take great care of everyone. We stay in the jr family suite and it’s just enough separation for our little one to go to sleep and us to still be able to be up in the bedroom area and balcony. If I had one complaint, it would be that the food is lackluster, but in my experience, that’s most all inclusive resorts. It’s a quick and cheap cab ride to the town where you can get a ton of authentic and delicious Mexican food! We will be back next year and probably many years after!

We came here as a group of 15 people. It was perfect. They made sure our large group was taken care of and we’d be able to do everything (beach lounge, eat, cabs) all together. If you are on the fence about purchasing the level accommodations I will leave to names Diego and Alejandro. They took an amazing trip and made it unforgettable. We will be coming back next year!

We had a 2 week vacation at Melia Cozumel. The staff at the hotel make it very special. Oscar our concierge was so helpful and treated us like family, Other staff Jorge Vivas, Veronica,Freddy, Angel, Diego all made our vacation enjoyable and relaxing. Food was excellent. We upgraded to the Level which was worthwhile.

From the second we put foot on the resort everyone was very welcoming, helpful & pleasant. Gerardo showed us all around, got us dinner & magic show reservations our first night. He was extremely attentive & helpful the entire stay. We also encountered several other wonderful people throughout our stay. Martin, Adrian & Jose were just a few of the very kind wait staff that help make our stay very pleasant. We have already recommended this resort to friends & family & we hope to plan a whole family stay! Thank you for making everything perfect Melia family!!

Amazing resort that met the needs of 3 generations. The service was impeccable. Angela and Guadalupe in the dining area were very great. Maria as our housekeeper was very attentive. Only criticism would be we could have used another à la Carte. Terrific experience!!!

We really enjoyed this scenic, friendly, warm beachside resort. We did a lot of long scenic beachside walking, followed by swimming and snorkeling. Then we could order local snacks and drinks to be delivered to us to relax on the many beachside lounges under big beach umbrellas. Only problem was lots of dead seaweed floating up on the beach front, which made it some nuisance for wading into the beach, but the local staff were very persistent in raking up the seaweed every day and dumping the stuff onto big garbage bins to be hauled away. We really liked the big self service buffet dining room with very friendly and helpful service staff and we tried to get nice beach view window tables whenever possible. The only nuisance was some of the guests being very noisy from drinking and party groups in the main dining room, but we could either find some quieter areas in other sections in the of the main dining big buffet room or go to one of smaller, menu service dining rooms either also facing the beach or local pools or gardens. In all, a very pleasant and scenic resort and we would definitely go back again.

Everything was great at the Melia. We came as family and had a great time. All the employees were amazing. The first day we arrived the seaweed was kinda heavy but the employees cleaned the beach quickly and the rest of the week was excellent. The bar service was amazing. We will most likely stay at Melia again!
