Outstanding One-Night Stay at Taj Samudra, Sri Lanka

We had a memorable one-night stay at Taj Samudra, and the experience surpassed all expectations. The hotel’s cleanliness and the quality of the rooms and facilities were immediately evident, setting a premium standard from the moment we arrived.

What truly stood out was the staff’s incredible hospitality. The smiles, genuine care, and kindness from the entire team made our family feel valued and welcome throughout our visit. Special thanks to the team members at Port Of Call Restaurant:
Tithila, Dilhara, Dileka, Malaka, Athauda, and Prabath for their exceptional customer service; their warmth left a lasting impression and brightened our day as we departed.
Restaurant Manager for taking time to chat with our family during breakfast, enhancing the overall experience at Port of Call Restaurant.

Port of Call offered a superb breakfast buffet with an amazing and wide variety of items. Everything was delicious and mouth-watering, beautifully catering to all tastes and preferences and perfectly complementing our celebration of my cousin’s incredible wedding the night before.

Check-out was seamless, courtesy of Executive Secretary Thamali, whose kindness and care while we waited for transport added the final, thoughtful touch to our stay.

I would highly recommend Taj Samudra to anyone seeking outstanding service, superb dining, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. This hotel truly elevated our family’s experience and left us with smiles that stayed long after we left.

Excellent Customer Service witnessed
Pros:

My friend took me your Ports of call Restaurant for my birthday. The food and the selection was average however what I really wanted to highlight was the service we recieved from your staff, Uddika. He was the most attentive staff I've ever met in a Restaurant despite being busy as a bee and he was always with a smile. I believe he really enjoys working at the hotel and he's a great asset to your company. He went above and beyond and secured us a 10% discount on the bill as well. I wish Uddika all the best in everything and I hope he flourishes in his career wherever he goes.

Royal stay.
Pros:

Pros:

Great atmosphere and a beautiful lobby. Everything was 100%. Highly recommended. And we will invite many more guests.

Wonderful staff and brilliant location
Pros:

I stayed at the Taj Samudra for a work trip as a solo female, and was blown away with the service I received. All of the staff were very kind and thoughtful, especially the Port of Call staff Dilhara, Dileka, Dayan, Madhu, Chef Vipin, Athauda and Tithila - they were truly wonderful, always checking up on me and making sure I had everything I could possibly want and need. The conciege team were fantastic as were everyone else I dealt with. The room was very clean, plenty of bottled water available and room service was great. The location was perfect for travelling to Port City and other tourist spots, and had a great view of the city. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you to everyone at Taj Samudra for making my staff so special, and especially to Dilhara and team for making me feel so comfortable!

Pros:

Grat staff espevially at the restaurant. Spa staff were v attentive. A lot of selection at the breakfast. Music in the lobby and 6pm tea was a lovely touch. Lovely decor. Cleaning staff were attentive. Rooms were very comfortable.

Cons:

Laundry was quite expensive and room service options were limited and took a while.
