Vivanta Ernakulam, Marine Drive

Mufeed from the restaurant went beyond his call of duty and helped answer all our questions not related to the hotel, where all the reception staff where nice, friendly and polite, 1 exception stood out, Fatima always smiled and was always welcoming/courteous, this really made me feel extra welcome. I will deem this hotel as my first choice if re-visiting Cochin.
2 negative experiences: I ordered omelette and I got a cross between omelette and scrambled eggs (runny), I did not order omelette again during my stay, for a Taj chain, the sunbed mats are broken/ripped, I do not expect Tag Vivanta to use these worn out sunbed mats, they are not expensive for replace and the experience from guests maybe "for such a brand name/wonderful Hotel why are they not spending a small amount of money on the matts".

Love the location and the hospitality. Check-in experience was okayish, in-room dining was par (messes up the order couple of times) and breakfast buffet was pretty decent. Bathroom experience was below par as the WC didn’t look clean when arrived and towels smelled harsh chemicals. I’m not sure if there was a chemical residue which might be harmful to the skin.

Stayed at the Vivanta Taj Ernakulam for a day with spouse. The property is next to Marine Drive with a great view and walking pathway. The check in and check out was smooth. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We food was excellent with a lot of options to choose from. Overall a great stay.

The reservation was for our Top level Management and with ease his stay was taken care of when he stayed at Vivanta Ernakulam, Marine Drive.

As a repeat guest, Swirl Bar at Taj continues to impress us every single time. The ambience is classy yet relaxed, the food is consistently excellent, and the overall experience never feels repetitive for me and my family.

A home away from home.
No matter how many new hotels and restaurants have come up in Kochi, we always find ourselves returning to Taj for its exemplary food and exceptional service. My husband and I are frequent visitors at Swirl Lounge Bar - Taj Vivanta — a relaxing lounge with scrumptious food and an extensive selection of beverages.

A special mention to the wonderful team — Saju, George, and Sujith — who make every visit memorable. Their warmth and hospitality truly make us feel like family. We highly recommend Swirl, Taj Vivanta to anyone who wishes to have an unforgettable dine out in Kochi.

I am so glad I booked Hotel Vivanta. I was traveling solo as a woman for a work trip, and I not only felt so safe due to the significant security and attentive staff, the staff was so kind that after day four, it felt like a little home away from home. Everyone went very far out of their way to help me with various things, and the location made all my travel both personally and professionally very easy. They are between two options for water transport to Fort Kochi, and I used their private boat jetty for my backwaters cruise. That was very nice. The staff even waited with me for the boat to ensure that everything went smoothly. They did the same thing when they ordered a car for me, so that the details weren't an issue with the language barrier. The room was beautiful, the meals outstanding, and the overall service top notch. I'm staying there again at the end of my work trip and am excited to return. Oh, and for those who need it, the wi-fi is strong. I was uploading footage for a documentary every night, so the wi-fi strength made things much faster. And the laundry service was perfect. The one unique thing about my stay is that my next-door neighbor had an emergency in the middle of the night that I helped with, so I also got to see the staff responding to a medical emergency and they did very well.

If I had to give any balance to this, I would say the water in the shower was always a little chilly. One day it was hot, but the other days it was a little on the cold side. And the promenade next to the hotel is a lovely to walk on. I pictured it with a more high-end story vibe based on the way it was described and it's not that. It's nice and very well used and I enjoyed it. It just was a little different from what I expected.

The only reason I did not give a score of 10 is I found the bar a bit deficient in term of availability of liquors. The drinks on menu were not available or not on offer

Our stay at Taj Vivanta Marine Drive was nothing short of refreshing. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm and seamless, but the true highlight was our room. Waking up to a stunning view of the Kochi harbour provided a sense of calm that stayed with us throughout the day.

Feel homely at Taj . Not to mention their service which is unique . Food excellent. Special mention of the food service rendered by Eldo who took special care with his smiling face ready and waiting to render his excellent homely service. Whenever I reach Taj Ernakulam , I first enquire about Eldo. Even after we leave the hotel he calls and enquires about our family

I have been going to the bar at Taj vivanta for the past 10 years. There is no other place at ernakulam which serves alcohol in such a homely atmosphere. Awesome ambience, the service and hospitality that they show and provide is truly commendable. Special mentions to George, Saju and Aadhi for their hospitality. Truly wonderful an experience at Taj Vivanta Bar.

Very very happy with overall experience at Vivanta Marine Drive Kochi. A special mention and a big thank you to Nithin Nair who went out of the way to ensure my stay went well . It’s so hard to find passionate hoteliers like Nithin in today’s time. Truly made my stay worth it. Will visit again
