Vivanta Ernakulam, Marine Drive

Great location, beautiful surrounding and peaceful atmosphere, Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff. Everything about the hotel was exceptional.
The room was spacious, clean, and had a remarkably comfortable bed. Food was good and service was attentive and efficient. Special mention to Rahul Ramakrishnan, Eldho and Niveditha. We would love to come back here….

We had a very good stay experience at The Vivanta - Ernakulam. We had by mistake booked the wrong Vivanta and were travelling with kids.
The staff and the director of operations - Rashmi Menon were very helpful to make our transfers internally.
It saved us a lot of hassle and we were glad that they went out of their way to help us.

As it was our special occasion the hotel made us feel very special right from the check-in process. Service level from almost each and every staff was typical of Taj standard - service with a big smile.
Would like to especially call out Mr Sujith at the restaurant for going above and beyond in organising an ala carte dish (even though the restaurant was offering buffet dinner) that we did not want to miss during our first Kerala visit.
However, we were a bit disappointed with the generic upkeep of the hotel. We were upgraded to an executive suite. The window glass offering view of the Kochi harbour was so dirty that we could not take a photo of the harbour.
However, overall we were happy with our stay.

Two-night stay in Vivanta. Welcoming staff at reception. Rooms are clean, but mosquitoes were present at night. The food was very good—poor internet connectivity. The internet connectivity is not secure. We were willing to pay extra for secure internet connectivity. We took a train from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram. We took a hotel car to the Ernakulam Town Station. The driver did not offer to assist us with our luggage to get into the station.

Excellent place to stay in kochi. Lovely water views, convenient location and great staff. Very much enjoyed our stay.

It was excellent ambience and view of Arabian Sea. Also easy to walk in native drive and take water metro. Breakfast buffet was excellent with so much of variety local and Non local cuisine. My kids loved them. Also swimming pool facilities were excellent net and clean and open with hot sun.

I had a wonderful stay at Taj Ernakulam from 22nd to 25th March. The overall experience was truly exceptional, marked by warm hospitality and impeccable service.

I would especially like to highlight Nitin from the front office team, whose professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine warmth stood out throughout my stay. His proactive approach, willingness to go the extra mile, and ability to handle every request with ease made a significant difference to my overall experience. It is rare to come across such dedication and guest-centric service, and Nitin truly exemplifies the highest standards of hospitality.

I would also like to appreciate Kartika and Lekshmi at the front office for their courteous and efficient assistance, always ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience.

A special mention to Afzal from the housekeeping team, whose attention to detail and consistent upkeep ensured that everything remained immaculate throughout my stay.

Thank you to the entire team for making my visit memorable. I look forward to staying again.

Excellent customer service, well trained staff

We had a wonderful stay at vivanta marine drive. Mr Nikhil was very helpful during our checkin process and was also generous enough to upgrade 2 of our 3 rooms. Everything was perfect, right from the check in to check out. Will definitely prefer to stay here again when i am back to Kochi.

Mufeed from the restaurant went beyond his call of duty and helped answer all our questions not related to the hotel, where all the reception staff where nice, friendly and polite, 1 exception stood out, Fatima always smiled and was always welcoming/courteous, this really made me feel extra welcome. I will deem this hotel as my first choice if re-visiting Cochin.
2 negative experiences: I ordered omelette and I got a cross between omelette and scrambled eggs (runny), I did not order omelette again during my stay, for a Taj chain, the sunbed mats are broken/ripped, I do not expect Tag Vivanta to use these worn out sunbed mats, they are not expensive for replace and the experience from guests maybe "for such a brand name/wonderful Hotel why are they not spending a small amount of money on the matts".

Love the location and the hospitality. Check-in experience was okayish, in-room dining was par (messes up the order couple of times) and breakfast buffet was pretty decent. Bathroom experience was below par as the WC didn’t look clean when arrived and towels smelled harsh chemicals. I’m not sure if there was a chemical residue which might be harmful to the skin.

Stayed at the Vivanta Taj Ernakulam for a day with spouse. The property is next to Marine Drive with a great view and walking pathway. The check in and check out was smooth. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We food was excellent with a lot of options to choose from. Overall a great stay.

It was just one interaction with Mr. Nikhil Shetty Duty Manager on 05th March 2026 for a doubted request of assistance and trust me with no sense of rejection, he delivered what I wanted. The reservation was for our Top level Management and with ease his stay was taken care of when he stayed at Vivanta Ernakulam, Marine Drive.

As a repeat guest, Swirl Bar at Taj continues to impress us every single time. The ambience is classy yet relaxed, the food is consistently excellent, and the overall experience never feels repetitive for me and my family.

No matter how many new hotels and restaurants have come up in Kochi, we always find ourselves returning to Taj for its exemplary food and exceptional service. My husband and I are frequent visitors at Swirl Lounge Bar - Taj Vivanta — a relaxing lounge with scrumptious food and an extensive selection of beverages.

A special mention to the wonderful team — Saju, George, and Sujith — who make every visit memorable. Their warmth and hospitality truly make us feel like family. We highly recommend Swirl, Taj Vivanta to anyone who wishes to have an unforgettable dine out in Kochi.
