efficient and functional hotel in the heart of Münich
Pros:

We were moderately satisfied about the hotel. Perfect location but in shabby surroudings. Very close to Hauptbahnhof, trams, busses, metro etc. Rooms not to big, but efficient and functional. Bathroom pretty small and shower in bath is not convenient for elderly people. Airco for ventilation and climatization pretty noisy. Breakfast pretty expensive (better tot go to Backwerk around the corner). Price-quality balance is moderate.

Surprisingly good experience in a minimalist hotel
Pros:

We were in town for Oktoberfest, so the room was expensive, but it was near our friends who were staying at a REALLY expensive hotel. We chose it based on location. The rooms are really small, but had all the amenities we needed. Clean comfortable bed, necessary bathroom facilities, everything was just fine. When we arrived and saw the business of the neighborhood, and knowing it was Oktoberfest, we thought we might have a lot of noise that would interfere with sleeping, but we did not. Our room looked out on a courtyard and that made all the difference. The staff were helpful. We parked there and that was quite the adventure. The spaces are underground and tight! It all worked out and we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Great shawarma just down the street!

Great stay very near Oktoberfest Grounds
Pros:

A group of us stayed at Hotel Mirabell for a visit to Oktoberfest. The hotel was exceptionally clean and we appreciated the great air conditioning since there was a heatwave happening while we were there. The hotel also offers an elevator which is sometimes not always the case in older buildings. The elevator was a much-welcomed addition after a long day at Oktoberfest. Another plus of this hotel is you are minutes away from the parade route. We read some reviews regarding the area not being very desirable. We did not find this to be the case and felt very safe. There is a strong Turkish population in the area, and we found them to be welcoming. There is a laundry facility close to the hotel, a grocery, and if you don't want the cuisine in the area then a ten-minute walk gets you to everything from great Italian to traditional German cuisine. We appreciated the hospitality of the hotel staff as our group liked to play cards, and they allowed us to use the downstairs breakfast area for this activity. We found this hotel is a must stay for Oktoberfest.

Our second trip to Munich and to Hotel Mirabell
Pros:

This is a wonderful hotel with a great location for our trip to Oktoberfest. Minutes from the train station, you can walk one direction to the Oktoberfest grounds or the opposite direction to old town Munich. The staff were very friendly and the morning breakfast was first class.

Stay for Octoberfest
Pros:

Hotel Mirabell was a great stay for our group of 8. Fiona was so helpful from the beginning in getting our reservation booked. Once we arrived everything was perfect. We were able to get into our room right away. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. I would stay again if I return to Munich.

Pros:

Great location, great service & excellent breakfast. Modern clean rooms, excellent staff. Loved the coffee in the lobby plus the housekeeping carts on the 3rd & 6th floor.

Not bad but with odd quirks
Pros:

The hotel is generally fine for its price bracket and is super convenient both to the central train station and Oktoberfest (the purpose of my trip). Breakfast is also pretty good. Two weird things that detracted from my experience:
(1) There is a door (totally unnecessary in my view) that separates the bedroom from the entry foyer and the bathroom in the room. Unfortunately, it has a complete door frame like an outside door. In the middle of the night, I ran into the floor part of that door frame and hurt my foot. I totally did not expect there to be a raised part in the floor in the middle of a small hotel room.
(2) The comforter you get is tiny. I mean it is enough to cover an adult lying perfectly straight. But why can't we have a normal comforter that covers the entire bed? Seems like a bizarre saving that makes sleep that much less relaxing.

Breakfast was fabulous! Great variety. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about places to visit and to eat. The hotel was a 10-15 minute walk from the train station, although a little challenging along cobblestones with suitcases! Neighbourhood was poorly lit after dark.
The room was very disappointing. So tiny, you had to step into the corridor to change your mind. We had no room to put our suitcases but on the bed in the morning and on the floor at night, leaving a minefield of luggage and clothing to navigate. If we spent any time in the room there was not a single chair so had to sit on the bed, which we couldn't because that's where our suitcases lived! The bathroom was clean and well lit. However, there was very limited shelving for two people for three nights. Items were always knocked on the floor which, well, ick. Wouldn't recommend for more than one night.

Great stay in centrally located Munich hotel
Pros:

Great location just steps from Munich main train station. Found some great middle eastern restaurants next to hotel. Great clean hotel with 24/7 coffee/tea station in lobby. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Unappealing neighborhood uncomfortable beds(squeak-squeak at every movement)!!
