That we were upgraded because it was my husband's 60th birthday.
Room was lovely and comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent and staff were helpful and friendly.
It was nice to have robes but we didn't use them as they were very scratchy.
Room was spacious, clean and modern and well equipped with an espresso machine (business room - not sure if that applies to all the rooms?) Located very close to the "food part" of highcross, so loads of options for dining, shopping, casino, cinema and nightlife but far enough away that its not a noisy location. Located right next to a very busy road but there was no noise from traffic at all in the rooms. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Would definitely reccommend. Easily one of the best hotels in Leicester.
Only 3 very slight issues (but they are very minor and easily resolved) The car parking is a bit hard to find and a bit of a walk from the hotel - just research it before you go as its a couple of streets away. 2nd tiny issue is that would have liked more coffee pods for the machine but there is a sainsburys thats a stones throw away so probably cold have bought some if it was that big a deal. 3rd issue was that the soap, shower gel etc (that were bolted to the walls) hadnt been refilled - im sure if i had called dowm to reception they would have sorted it but didnt notice until i was in the shower so this was mildly inconvenient, but in future, I'd just check this on arrival and call to reception sooner.

Felt like the standards had dropped slightly compared to previous trips here. No drinking water in the room and customer service wasn’t up to its usual high standard.
