A Journey Back to an Icon – My Heartfelt Experience at Taj Krishna, Hyderabad

There are some places that are more than just hotels they become a part of one's personal journey. Taj Krishna, Hyderabad is one such iconic property for me.

It was in 2007 that I had the privilege of staying here for the first time while attending the ICF Convention. A few years later, my generous and inspiring mentor took me to Hyderabad to explore the city's extraordinary culinary heritage and once again, I was very fortunate to stay at this remarkable hotel. Both occasions remain deeply etched in my memory and I continue to consider them among the most cherished milestones of my professional journey.

After almost two decades, destiny once again brought me back to Taj Krishna during an official visit. Walking through its grand entrance was not merely checking into a hotel. It felt like returning to a place filled with memories, emotions and timeless hospitality. I truly felt blessed to once again experience the warmth of one of India's most iconic luxury hotels.
I rarely write guest feedback, largely due to my demanding work schedule but this visit inspired me to share my thoughts because Taj has always held a special place in my heart. My intention is simply to offer observations that may contribute in a small way to the continued legacy of excellence that the Taj brand represents.
The arrival experience was seamless and gracious. The check-in process was efficient and the associate escorted my luggage to the room with genuine warmth and professionalism. The room reflected the impeccable standards of Taj hospitality, complemented beautifully by the premium Forest Essentials amenities that continue to elevate the guest experience with a touch of Indian luxury.

However, the room also revealed the elegance of its age. While beautifully maintained, I believe a thoughtful refurbishment incorporating modern technology while preserving its timeless character would further enhance the guest experience.

One small observation was the abundance of storage space there were over a dozen drawers in the room all of which remained unused. During any future renovation, this space could perhaps be reimagined more functionally. Similarly, if a minibar is provided, a curated selection of snacks, beverages and bottled water would make the offering feel completer and more aligned with luxury hospitality expectations. Integrating smart room technology and IoTenabled features while retaining the hotel's classic charm could create a wonderful balance between heritage and contemporary luxury.

One of the highlights of my stay was simply walking around the property. The beautifully landscaped gardens, serene pathways and lush greenery create an atmosphere of tranquility that is increasingly rare in today's hospitality landscape. Every corner of the hotel reflects thoughtful horticulture and meticulous upkeep.

I would especially like to appreciate a wonderful gentleman from the housekeeping team, who generously took the time to show me around the property, including the beautifully renovated gymnasium, spa, banquet facilities and swimming pool. His passion, pride and commitment towards the hotel were truly inspiring and perfectly embodied the spirit of Taj hospitality.

Breakfast was another memorable experience. The culinary offerings were exceptional beautifully presented and complemented by an incredibly warm and smiling service team who made the morning truly delightful. My only small observation was that the sambar had been positioned slightly away from the South Indian live section seemingly due to the absence of a nearby electrical connection. It is a very minor operational point but relocating it closer to the relevant station could further enhance the overall guest experience.

Please accept these observations in the spirit in which they are shared with the utmost respect and admiration. They are not condemnations but humble suggestions from someone who has always looked upon the Taj brand with immense pride and affection.

The Taj has long stood as India's finest symbol of luxury, grace and heartfelt hospitality. It has inspired generations of hoteliers, myself included and continues to set benchmarks for our industry. Returning to Taj Krishna after so many years was not simply a stay; it was an emotional journey filled with nostalgia, gratitude and admiration.

Thank you to the entire team for making my visit memorable once again. I look forward to returning and witnessing this legendary property. Planning to visit with my family very soon and continue to evolve while preserving the timeless elegance and soul that make it truly iconic.
