Excellent hotel, fantastic interiors, beautiful room, stunning views, super friendly staff at every level, brilliant service. Fantastically located and situated with major attractions on the doorstep, High Line, Whitney, Chelsea Market, the village etc.
Maritime Hotel is lovely. Well appointed room, lobby is comfortable, staff is friendly and helpful, continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise...nothing fancy but just right. Great location, clean rooms (even the grout in the bathroom was sparkling white, which is quite rare). All in all a great stay. Only complaint is the bed was quite hard but I was so tired I slept like a log anyway. And the countertop in the bathroom of room 1112 hangs too far over the toilet, which makes it difficult to sit comfortably. But I'll definitely be back again.
Excellent location, friendly, welcoming, and clean. Hotel had everything you needs, including an ideal continental breakfast and gym. It’s close to the Hudson and high line and easy walk to west village. There is a sub station very close by.
It can be a bit noisy at night with city sounds, but once I put in ear plugs, which are provided by the hotel it made a big difference.
Outstanding service and a superb location in Chelsea. We were in a suite and it was outstanding. It's a beautiful hotel and the service and friendliness from the front desk to the maids was remarkable.
I have wonderful memories of the Maritime from when I lived in New York and attended fashion events and music performances there. So when I recently had the opportunity to book a hotel through my Delta points, I was thrilled to stay at a place that already meant so much to me.
I absolutely loved my stay. The room was cozy, and the bathroom had the warm, nostalgic charm of a classic New York movie. I especially appreciated the high-quality toiletries—they were a lovely touch that made the experience feel even more luxurious.
One of my favorite things about the hotel was how quiet and private it felt. Despite being in such a vibrant neighborhood, it was a peaceful retreat where I could truly relax.
The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. I also enjoyed seeing the other guests during breakfast—they all seemed thoughtful and interesting, which added to the unique atmosphere of the hotel.
A special thank you to the housekeeping team. I accidentally left an entire drawer full of my belongings in my room, and every single item was carefully returned to me. Their honesty, professionalism, and kindness truly impressed me.
Overall, I couldn’t have been happier with my stay. The Maritime combines charm, character, exceptional service, and a wonderful sense of calm. I look forward to returning the next time I’m in New York.
This hotel is so special. Beautiful lobby, well-designed and comfortable rooms, and lovely staff. The location is also perfect, it's so easy to get everywhere with so many trains nearby.
We were extremely impressed with our stay at the Maritime Hotel. The rooms are a little small, but that’s to be expected in New York and it felt cozy instead of claustrophobic. It made for a great landing spot at the end of a long day and the bed was fairly comfortable. We kept the room at 69* and it was pretty comfortable. We also enjoyed opening the window in the cooler evenings to enjoy some fresh air. We were on a high floor so there wasn’t a ton of street noise outside the occasional honk or siren. They do offer earplugs on the nightstand and I’ve seen other reviews mention the window plugs to help stop the noise. I didn’t have any issues sleeping but I know it’s different for everyone.
The bathroom amenities are very nice and were appreciated. Almost all products were from C.O. Bigelow which was a nice touch. The shower also had great pressure on the higher floors of the hotel which is appreciated.
The included breakfast had a good spread of pastries, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and tea. You’ll need to eat in the lobby but there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and it didn’t feel crowded. They did have small to-go cups which were perfect for getting a quick cup of coffee to bring up to your room while you’re getting ready. The lobby also had a cold water dispenser all day long which was appreciated during the hot weather.
The location is great for both walking and taking the subway. You’re just across the corner from Chelsea Market and a block down from the Highline and other shopping and dining. The ACE station is just up the street and was super easy to get to as well.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly from our experience. There is always a doorman out front and the lobby staff always greeted us when we were coming or going through the lobby. It’s a small thing but it made a big difference in feeling welcomed.
This hotel is a great fit for couples and those who are traveling on business. I’m not sure if the standard room would be a good option for families but they may have some other options available. I’d recommend calling the front desk if you have any questions because they were helpful when we booked. I definitely plan to stay here again on future trips and highly recommend it for anyone else considering it!
Great vibe, great location. Loved being in Chelsea and the subway station was only a block away. Chelsea market is right around the corner. Wonderful neighborhood restaurants in the area. Very helpful staff.
My company has been staying here for the past 5 years and it is always wonderful. It's a great location and the rooftop PH suite is incredible!
Rooms were clean.. good speed wifi..convinient location & helpful front desk.
Rooms are small.. breakfast was avg, the food served was cold.. & the variety limited.
Great location, walkable to Highline and beautiful neighborhoods. Service was excellent and friendly. Would recommend and stay here again in a heartbeat!
The noise from the traffic and street was excessive. The staff provided earplugs and a window insert to help reduce the noise, which suggests this is a known issue. Unfortunately, neither was effective, and the noise remained extremely disruptive.
Excellent location
Staff were all wonderful
The only bar was a nightclub
Unfortunately I did not get to stay at this adorable hotel due to horrible storms in Cleveland and nyc. All flights were canceled. I had booked through booking.com, but I called the Maritime to let them know my dilemma. I spoke to a wonderful employee, Alyssa. She was so kind and understanding. It definitely made me decide on my next trip that I will be staying at this hotel... and its right across from the Chelsea Market... and delicious lobster rolls from Cull and Pistol. Just one phone conversation and I was sold on this hotel!
Emplacement idéal dans un quartier plutôt calme mais proche de tout. L’hôtel a du charme et du cachet et des chambres de taille raisonnables au sein desquelles on peut bouger
