Emplacement idéal dans un quartier plutôt calme mais proche de tout. L’hôtel a du charme et du cachet et des chambres de taille raisonnables au sein desquelles on peut bouger
We were sailing in Sail4th 250. We needed close to the Pier where America 2.0 was docked. We booked primarily on availability and location.
Breakfast! Stale muffins and rolls. Very limited breakfast choices.
Loved our stay here! Great staff from front door to front desk! Super friendly without being intrusive. The room was very clean (#1 for me) and though we didn’t make it to the included breakfast there was very good coffee in the lobby. Parking discount offered by hotel for log directly across the street. Super location!
This hotel is in a great location. We enjoyed the theme of the hotel and the friendly front desk. Be aware however the penthouse rooms are not very luxury. The pillows are very flat and had to ask for more. Although a nice amenity the balcony’s are not well kept. We expected more attention to detail for the price.
Love it
Got a room on 2nd floor where the view out the window was straight into a concrete wall 5 feet from the window, with a corridor right outside the window where a person could walk and look right into the room. Very scary!
When I asked to be moved to another room front desk was super rude and did not want to either help me, compensate me or do anything to remedy the situation.
Other than this the room was worn down, dirty and filthy and the included breakfast buffet a total joke. Dry, chewy bred, total lack of cold cuts or vegetables (or anything other than the color brown).
Stay away!
My husband and I stayed here after winning a free night stay. The front desk was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean and location was great. Lots of restaurants, shops and nightlife. We had a wonderful overall experience and would go back.
This hotel has become my go-to while in NYC. The property is lovely, with the kindest staff, and the quietest rest in the city!
The property is lovely, with an inviting and clean lobby. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were outstanding, friendly, and helpful.
The location is great - right across the street from Chelsea Market. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Rooms are cozy - expected for NYC, but very stocked with whatever you could need. NYC is pricey no matter how you look at it, so I think this is fairly priced considering the great location and 3 minute walk to the closet subway station. The room was spotless. Noise level from the street wasn't bad at all - we were on the 8th floor and on a rainy weekend, so it was actually pretty quiet. Desk staff were helpful! Continental breakfast was your average cold items but certainly enough to fill up on if you so choose. We would stay here again solely based on the location, noise level, and overall chill vibes.
This is a beautiful hotel in the perfect location. It has the luxury feel that nice hotels used to have and the little touches that make for a much more pleasant stay. The beautiful rooms are NOT dominated by a giant TV screen that I will never watch. And the windows open (having lived in Manhattan for many years, the sounds of the city can be charming).
Rooms have a lot of storage space which was appreciated, bathrooms are on the larger side for NY which is also great, and I liked that the in-room toiletries are of a good standard, and that they even provide toothpaste.
I think the lobby is looking a bit tired, not very welcoming. It's a shame that the bar area that used to be the other side of the lobby is not there any more. Also the corridor in the basement that leads to the gym smells overpoweringly of garbage which made this area feel seedy and a little unsafe as a female user of the gym.
It was overall GREAT until 2 issues:
(1) AC stopped working 2nd to last night so both of our last nights were miserable. We Had to call to get it fixed at 3am. Wtf does an engineer have to come to our room when they control it from somewhere else? Are you trying to save money? It was pure hell roasting in the room that wouldn't go below 72 degrees!!
(2) your front desk did not tell maids we had a late checkout. We paid $30 to sleep until we had to leave at 2pm because of the AC debacle that ruined our last day in the city. Then, the maid comes with an annoying tap with a key card at 12:30pm to ask why we are still in the room. We were sleeping (FINALLY) and then she ruined it. And we paid $30 for that.
We have 2 rooms for a week booked in June for Pride and I will be canceling both due to these issues.
Other than that, everyone was polite, friendly, food at Tao was good, rooms perfectly laid out for the size, great bedding. Annoying to have to call for ice, but whatever. Unfortunately the two other issues are absolute deal breakers and we will cancel that $8k worth of business with you because of it.
Great location across street from Chelsea market, a block from high line and subways.
The room is comfortable, with excellent bed. The maritime theme with wood paneling in room and large "porthole" window that opens with great view towards Hudson River is fun.
Staff were welcoming and helpful.
breakfast buffet a bonus.
